Sounds like not getting hot enough...both inner and outer should melt at the same time...do not hesitate to fuse together by pushing both ends together...
also I think you should add more hardware to your store. I am also almost out of the paracord I got from bored paracord. so I will put in my first order soon

Help! I find it impossible to fuse the two cords.even if the inside fuses the outer cover doesn't remain in place!
