Tried this yesterday, massive difference compared to my normal swing, loads more distance, even works with 3 wood on the fairway, great tip everyone needs to try this cheers
Very helpful for me! I just had my right hip replaced (had my left one done 8 years ago - I’m 52). Can’t wait to try this out! Before surgery my club head speed was hovering around 100mph…after surgery it’s now around 90mph…hoping to get it back to mid-90s after strengthening my core and glutes post surgery…BTW, those shoes rock!!
Hi Ali, as a senior with a right hip problem I really enjoyed the tips in the video, I would like get a better understanding of the degree angle of my M1 driver which is set for 12 degrees using a pink tee. I would like to adjust the degree to 10 and use the orange tee, as I think a12 degrees setting wont get the full benefit of the swing adjustments.
I have done what you suggested, however, I still seem to be starting to what feels like a pull to the left. Am I overcompensating by putting my right foot back too far or closing the face at impact? The ball seems to go straight but then goes left after 100 yards or so.
Ali I'm 68 years old, tried these tips yesterday, hit the ball better and longer than I have in years. As the wind picked up and while at my back I almost drove 3 greens. Hit the ball higher off the tee.. Question how can I continue to use these tips but keep the ball flight low into the wind?
Great video ! Any iron ,driver recommendations for a 68 year old with 80mph driver club head speed . Ball flight is low but straight. Need distance. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Hi Ali just finished watching the video and I am going to try this on the range tomorrow makes a lot of sense. Just one question, if I draw my back foot back (closing my stance a bit) will this not move the low point of my swing arc back? Meaning I shouldn’t have to move the ball forward in my stance and risk slicing the ball.
When moving ball further left eg left toe for driver, dont position driver at the back of the ball, place it in more central position, will also help with upward angle of attack, and help stop shoulders being so closed at address which promotes a slice.

Excellent instruction !
Great tips today. I’m a 65 yr old who needs a left hip replacement. Trying the tips this week and we’ll see how it goes.

Well explained and easy to follow. Thanks.
Simple but very effective, great video
Tried it on the range. 61 yrs pld. Works a treat, nice ball flight. The odd slice but improving. Cherrs mate😁👍
Great tip. Tried it today and most drives going straight and long. Cheers.
Very simple, but great tip....makes perfect sense too
This has been working for me the last 2 weeks mate, agreed.
Keep it going.
Great advice. I really want to know what mat and tees you are using. I need them for my garage simulator

Super...there may be a few more yards in this old swing! Thanks Ali!
Great vid. So clear!! I already have my right foot back but realised I didn’t lean torso to right enabling me to hit up. Thanks Ali.
Good tip, well explained and something i look forward to trying out. 👍
Hope you enjoy
Hi Ali,
Would this setup you described the same for an iron or a fairway wood/ hybrid?
Good question
Don't need to pull the foot back or move the ball position, but the rest 👍
Thanks for replying and for the advice 👍
Going to try that tomorrow, can u put up a video for iron shots as well, cheers
Sure thing
Thanks Ali
Great tips there, will try this tomorrow
Does that set up with the feet work for irons too.

Great tips Ali. Hitting up as described, which castle tee would you recommend, pink or orange ?
Great content as ever, cheers.
I will try that. Thank you
Let me know how it goes.
will this same swing work with irons ? *Cheers*
is there any way this could adapted for use with iron play ?

What have you got at the moment?
@@AliTaylorGolf Callaway Rogue x irons and Callaway Epic star driver 12 degrees
@@jbh199 You could try the Callaway B21 driver and maybe some hollow headed irons for ball speed.
@@AliTaylorGolf hollow headed irons?
@@AliTaylorGolf I googled them. Thanks for your help !

Closed stance makes path more right, ball forward makes path left so more neutral
Cheers Ali off to practice now👍

It can indeed, I've done a video on this ages ago.
Def going to try that. Now aged 73, lack of distance is driving me (no pun intended) insane 🤬🤬
Senior golfers as a prerequisite have to wear the same colorful shoes to hit the ball further!
