Second vocalist is Jorn Lande. I've listened to him for years and years. He is one of the best vocalist ever and the only vocalist who sing Dio songs just like Ronnie James Dio. You will fall in love with his vocal.

The wicked symphony Farewell Serpents in paradise And just a honorable mention please react to the band Shaman and Andre Matos. He was the lead singers of this band and he has participate in several avantasia albuns. He was one of the most important metal singers here in Brazil but he died last year. He was amazing. You seem to really enjoy these symphonic/prog bands that only have one writer, or ones with minimal help. AYREON IS THE SAME WAY!!! Arjen is a master song writer and also does his best to make a full story, sometimes encompassing 3 albums worth for one story...
I grew up with Edguy and similar bands in the 90s when they were regulary performing at small festivals in southern Germany. Tobias is a really nice dude! When "Avantasia - The metal opera part 1 & 2" released in 2001 & 2002 I believe, I couldn't stop listening to them. Still one of the best if not the single best LP's imho! Such an awesome project with many really great vocalists in perfect harmony...
Like Ayreon, but less prog and more power metal. Another amazing one with Jorn on vocals is "Lucifer". Geoff Tate actually did record and perform with them on their last album and tour. Another great 80's vocalist that is a regular with them is Michael Kiske of Helloween. And the late Andre Matos of Angra used to sing with them as well.

Great reaction and yes they are a throw back to the 80's and Tobias could easily step into any band from that era and be right at home. They have several "guest" singers who join them for their particular concept albums (they have 3 singers in some performances). This band just knows how to rock out and LIVE is as you can see, hear and feel is just outstanding. I agree that Wacken has the best sound quality overall and really is the Mecca for Metal, especially with that open air environment.
The Singer is Tobi Sammet at the Begin and the second Guy is Jorn Lande. I saw Avantasia in 2019 in Tobis Hometown Fulda |Germany it was 3 Hour Concert , tell you what it was F*cking amazing , his Style in singing has improved a lot and yes Tobi is very expressive in his personality but a nice Guy. The Chemistry of this guys on Stage is so amazing like very good friends. The Blonde Woman singing in Background is Amada Summerville.
The second singer was Jorn Lande, they always are a spectacle to see... I would have had to see a whole festival this july INSIDE OF A CASTLE ("rock the castle" in Villafranca di Verona, in Italy), great festival and had my ticket for the day Avantasia headlined it. Sadly Covid happened and it got pushed forward to 2021... So sad. And i still have my doubts they will actually let us be there even next year...

This song definitely on my top ten for symphonic metal. They have that epic composition skill set that compares to Nightwish. I was a teen and a metal head through the eighties, so they definitely appeal to me. I get a Scorpions mashes with Dream Theater vibe from them, along with the Geoff Tate vocals reference.
You should really try Tobias original band: Edguy (ex: Tears of a Mandrake, Mysteria..) or even a band that I didn't saw you do a reaction of: Stratovarius (ex: My Eternal Dream, Elysium..)
