Dhoni should have quit test cricket after BGT in 2012 and concentrated in white ball cricket only after.The reason for the whitewash in both England and Australia were lack of attacking mindset which was very important in these conditions. Actually he is really good captain for T20 & ODI but failed in Test. For Test Kohli is best captain or overall Ricky ponting is best. Even new comer performs really well under ricky ponting. Dhoni really have good cricketing knowledge and apply it on field in T20 & ODI but same tactics didn't work in long format. In above defeat we need to see whenever a big partnership happen we dont have bowling line-up to break. Now same Australia & England didn't score 400 or 500 against us. We shouldnt have bottled up the MCG Test. The Australian team wasn't as good as the ones India faced in 2003/04 and 2007/08 tours. They lost Ashes at home and performed horribly in South Africa in the lead-up to the series. Coming back to the Boxing Day Test in 2011 December, India, by the end of day two, crossed the 200 run mark while just losing two wickets. They should have batted throughout the day three and given a 140-150 lead to the Aussies. That collapse on the third day morning session took the series away from India.

Dhoni should have quit test cricket after BGT in 2012 and concentrated in white ball cricket only after.The reason for the whitewash in both England and Australia were lack of attacking mindset which was very important in these conditions. Actually he is really good captain for T20 & ODI but failed in Test. For Test Kohli is best captain or overall Ricky ponting is best. Even new comer performs really well under ricky ponting. Dhoni really have good cricketing knowledge and apply it on field in T20 & ODI but same tactics didn't work in long format. In above defeat we need to see whenever a big partnership happen we dont have bowling line-up to break. Now same Australia & England didn't score 400 or 500 against us. It's even hard for them to reach 300 so deadly is our bowling attack. Which even helped better so there won't be any huge target to chase.

If i say it was zaheer's elimination which disbalanced indian team, it wasn't our batting! We didn't countered or challenged them the same way in bowling because indian bowlers did bowled very well but there was no zaheer who produced wickets anytime and took off the pressure from bowling otherwise it would have been a levelling series, but that thing alone set up a long setback for a long time in indian cricket, till now!
