Absolute legend for sure, you couldn't find many people that could move like this in 1979. These kinds of moves where still in the streets for sure......if you where lucky enough to see Boogaloo Sam dance, you would swear that he was beamed down to earth from another planet.

I was 13 in 1979 . Soul Train ran a segment around this time called , what else ? Electric Boogaloo . I was instantly hooked on this new dance craze . All I wanted to do was listen to hip hop / funk / DJs and watch poppers do their thing ! Sometimes I get chills and tear up a bit watching old footage like this . Miss those days . 😥

Love me some Boogaloo Sam, his poppin skills are what he is known for. but toward the end of the video, he was trying out some locking steps. And it look like his Locking skills need some practice. But its all good. Thats not what he is known for anyway.. Since this was early what 1979 I am sure his locking moves just got better and better. Wish we could all go back in time and revisit the places that we have love for. Thanks for this video, its a rare treat for anyone who locks & pops. Thank you Boogaloo Sam....

I saved the background song of this video and that beginning part has been stuck in my head endlessly and I couldn't remember the name of the song. I got to see them live!!! living in the LBC they loved to dance and I loved to watch....His moon walking in 1978......changed everything....the locking community all converted....due to these 2 brothers and their group...Electric Boogaloo they were the coolest people to be around also.....love these guys...
