Love this Turkish/German style kebab with the mixed meat and turkish bread with pickled cabbage a hell of a lot more than the generic Asian curry shop donner type on a dried out pitta that we’ve had to put up with for years. I’d definitely be a regular visitor if I lived nearby.

The quality of the donner meat is of paramount importance and you know that our Danny DOES require it to be good. Sometimes I find it to be a bit too salty, as the actress said to the bishop.. You need to try Flames in Scarborough for a Donner Kebab , Iv eaten them all over the world but nothing beats flames for a donner ! , the sauces are amazing as well , and try a Pizza on the side ! , great upload Danny cheers !

Strange that, possibly a franchise ? They will be located opposite the Liverpool Superstore. BTW, that key-bab looks awesome. I wish somewhere in Belfast served this bread. Speaking of Belfast, you should get over here for a wee summer food trip Danny. You would love it. ✌️
The Doner is huge compared to my Local Marmaris take away in Lauder, Scotland. At least you get decent sized portion's. They charge you £1 for a tiny bit of salad and 50p for a tub of garlic sauce . It's £10 for a Doner Calzone with salad and sauce. But they don't give you a tub of sauce?! They just spray a drip on the salad.
Try UK Rooster kebabs in Wakefield Danny, its on the road behind the bus station, them kebabs will be right up your street mate, lovely sauce on them too
What an incredible associate working the counter. Just a side note to you, Danny, I've worked retail in the States for over 5 decades and actually an embarrassing situation for a counter person is the when you ask what do you recommend? IMO. I would rather ask what's your best selling kabob, etc. It takes some of the expectation off the associate and onto the store. Just speaking from my experience, but I love what you do.
UK here, In all my 43 years I have never, And never known anyone to, Ask a staff member in a food establishment either of those questions lol. I'm aware people do that, But to me it seems weird. You look at a menu see what sounds good and order it.. Or you order something your pal or family member suggests, At least you can roast them after if it goes badly and they buy the next meal 😂. But on a serious note, Why would that put pressure on the service worker?
Tom, I mean in fairness "What do you recommend?" is basically the same thing as asking what their best seller is (and/or asking what is on the specials board today if they are keen to shift that). I really can't imagine a staff member being embarrassed by being asked that question or feeling that their answer somehow reflects on them personally. The staff member is going to recommend what they think is best for Danny, which aside from any specific dietary requirements will usually be the most best-selling item (and more specifically, sometimes the best-selling item among white people as opposed to people from the cultural background of the restaurant who might have higher spice thresholds and/or more openness to unusual dishes). If the staff member has some unusual or uncommon preferences for what they themselves eat from the menu, they're going to know not to recommend that to the average customer.
