Everything I hate about carboots....people ramming sellers who haven't even got things out the car. As a reseller who depends on car boots, I just think it puts a lot of sellers off who come occasionally to sell.
Was at thamesmead the other day, a car crowded with about 30 something people, all for cheap washing powder and stuff like that, they had to call security over to help as they had literally just got their tables out.
It's really annoying to deal with one person doing that in my experience,.so that must of been a nightmare
I absolutely agree, doesn’t help waiting until the sellers get out their cars and setup, and block anyone else like a greedy git.
Yeah I know what you mean, everything I hate about car boot sales, resellers.
Massive car boot
@@stepheng8779 Why are resellers bad for car boots? We buy peoples unwanted good so they don't have to lug them home?
Dont mind resellers, but if i did a car boot and people crowded my car like that, theyd be swftly told to fuck off until i was ready.
People acting like animals, its embarrassing.
👌🏻
I find the whole "Car boot" thing animalistic.
People swarming round like flies... all desperate to get 50 pence off a £2 item.
People selling absolute junk, half of which doesn't work, is "take a chance" on an item they know is broken, or has missing cables or accessories.
People fighting over something that's a tenner....
Standing around in a field for hours on end with no guaranteed sales... and you're often still paying a fee just to get in and sell.. some even charge a fee for buyers!
Cheap people everywhere trying to rip each other off....
People glued to their phones, walking around with £200 in their pocket desperate to buy a £100 item for £10 so they can flog it on eBay...
Reminds me of all those weirdos who queue up outside shops for days on end to get the new "iPhone" on "launch day" meanwhile everyone else just gets it delivered on the same day... or the animals that barge and push each other out the way on black friday when Asda does a "deal" on a "no-brand" TV for £80....
Car boot is the last place I would ever go.
Sadly this is what bootsales are like this days.
I prefer the ones where they give sellers an hour to set up much more civilised.
Luckily where I am the sellers have an hour and it’s just far better that way, more fair for everyone and the sellers don’t get people inside their boot 😅
@@FlippinRich yeah my hard ground like that
This should be standard practice across the board.
I just wanted to say the reseller who snatched the SNES boxed 13:21 , is really unhinged. He goes to my local carboot in High Wycombe, I confronted him when he was beanding over a box over retro games, blocking me from seeing them, shouting at me “MINE”. Like some toddler having a tantrum. I just politely offered the seller a better deal and he snapped back at me, that I wouldn’t be able to resell them (they were for my collection) overall a nasty encounter, I would encourage other buyers to avoid him like the pneumonic plague.
Haha that’s hilarious 🤣
Oh I see him at all the local ones near me all the time , and in the cex cashing in his treasure
@@Leoleo-dz2xs no wonder he need to fight over it if he’s unloading at cex
He must have an amazing gaming collection though as pretty much every boot fare he's found the gaming gems
@@Leoleo-dz2xs not if he’s selling it all 😂
Boot sales remind me of supermarkets that start to put reduced stickers on food items and everyone goes barmy
Quite some years back I worked in retail, as a "stop gap" in between a job i'd just left and whilst I was in the recruitment stages of my current job.
Boxing day 2015 I believe it was.. I was doing reductions.. deals like a 4 pack of Stella which would have sold for £5-£5.50 were being priced at £2.75 because one single can had split and was thrown out. We had other items that we were literally giving away... 18 multipack of crisps I put out for 50 pence because the outer bag had split open...
As I bought the reductions out, and put them on the shelves, literally crowded by around 10 people all trying to be the first to see what was on offer. By the time I came back with the next lot of reductions which was only about 2-3 minutes later the first lot had been "cherry picked" off the shelves and low and behold a queue of people standing around waiting for me to return.
when i do a car boot, i pull up and NO ONE gets in my car or looks through stuff cos i say im not setting up for half hour as im going to get a bacon roll and lock my car. When i do start setting up i dont sell anything until im ready....simples!!
im the same. also i tell the resellers scum the price is double for them so they can knock me down. they want everything for nothing. then they are so lazy, rather than sell it, they give it to cex for peanuts.
@@koolandkrazy8217 good thinking doubling the price, gonna give that a go my man.
Go to a car boot to sell goods and make money and first priority is a baccon sarney 😂😂😂
@@aaronmurph1234 Gotta be done mate😁
@@arthurmorgan8601 legend 😁
One thing I hate the most about carboots is everyone always rummaging in ur boot as soon as u arrive, carboots used to be good back years ago
Scavengers
Animals
I think people need to wait till the people have unpacked the vehicles on to there stall......would well annoy me if i was doing a stall...all standing around like Vulchers!
In an ideal world yes it’s also better for buyers as it’s all fair. Most carboots would rather charge a hefty early bird price and send people in right away than keep every back until everyone is set up. I actually much prefer my normal Sunday boot sale that lets everyone in together at 6:30 once the first cars are set up but that’s a rare thing these days.
2:11 Loving the shoe covers 😂😂
We tried selling at a local carboot but got put off by the gypsies fom a nearby site, bombarding us and others while trying to get everything ready, manhandling stuff from my cars boot, offering me stupid offers on item's,wasn't a very good experience, that was my first and last selling.
That stolen bike was cheap good buy
It was so stolen it comes with a free scouse accent lol.
I put stuff on freecycle. That's becoming an issue lately with dealers. After a while you see the same members asking if the item's gone. If it's something of value it gets collected without fail. If it's not, the person who wants it is a no show. Not knowing we will be doing a boot sale soon , I put an old vase on there. Sheesh the amount of messages I got !! When you see people fighting over items at the car boot it just sums up what's wrong with buying and selling
60 pound trek bargains
Good work mate. Any tips on cleaning Toasters? I’ve brought a few in bad condition and want them worthy for sale but can’t get the inside components clean enough
I just shake them allot
@@FlippingSloth 😂 that’s one way.
Yeah, don't buy them in bad condition.
Fire. Works on everything.
I've watched film and TV for 70 years . This is the most accurate portrayal of English culture . "Don't sell it again , I know what you're like "!! Absolutely priceless .
Haha 😛
keyboard was a bargain mate well done
Wouldn’t it make more sense to have a set time for sellers to be in and set up by. Then let the buyers in or is that too difficult 🤷🏻♂️.
What happens then is the sellers will go around the stalls and buy up anything of value, happens at a bootsale I used to go to and don't any more.
The toasters that u paid for I get the same ones boxed and working from a returns place that leaves them out for scrap.
Thanks for your UPLOAD keep on making money from other peoples rubbish. 👍👌😉
YOU HAD A STEAL WITH THAT TREK MTB
Nice job man I hope you make bank of them toasters 👍🏻
I rarely do car boot sales, and the last time it took more than an hour to get everything out because people were scrambling to look in the boot of the car asking how much is this and how much is that, and going through the boxes and expecting me to wait until they finish, and even taking out the boxes themselves. In the end none of those people bought aanything and others were walking past the empty tables.
I actually got there half an hour before the bootsale opened which would have been enough time. The organisers should not have let the public in before the opening time. Lesson learned though and I will never let that happen again. The buyers flustered & rushed me & it took 90 minutes to get the stall nice with price labels and everything laid out how I wanted and I was in a right state afterwards. Next time time I will tell people that the stall is not open until everything is out of the car. I will take a rope barrier too. Buyers must give sellers a chance to set out their stall.
All comes down to the organisers. If we get let in early we kind of have to compete because the other buyers won’t wait. I actually prefer being all let in at once about 30mins after opening so tables are all setup it’s more fair for everyone
Good video Sloth! Dropped a like :)
Thanks 🙏🏻
Everyone I know who has done car boots have the amount of not British who pinch stuff is unbelievable
What car boot sale did you go to you got some great bargains
Like rats round a corpse
I do like an old car boots sale!! Proper British!!! 👍
🙏🏻 thanks for watching
Reminds me of the reduced section at tesco
I did this once. Boxing day 2015. Doing reductions when I worked at Tesco for a brief 6 month period as a stop gap job between my previous job and my current job. Each time I bought the massively discounted products out I was swarmed. By the time I came out again with the next lot the shelf had been cherry picked and only the "rubbish stuff" was left. As I bought the next lot out there were people stood in the aisle all pretending to be trying to find something, as soon as I put the last item on the shelf and started to wheel the trolley away they all rushed over to the reduced shelf...
Oh, and the one "karen" woman... as i'm filling a shelf with crisps.... who loudly proclaims in front of all the other shoppers in that aisle.. "OH HOW TYPICAL... THE ONE FLAVOUR I DO LIKE IS NOT ON OFFER"... cue her turning to me and going "WHY DO THEY DO THAT?"
"I would imagine it's because the other flavours don't sell so well" I responded....
She tutted and shook her head in digust.
It was a big multipack bag of crisps for £2.50... not like she was buying an expensive bottle of champagne...
The "on sale" flavours were £1.25....
Even vultures have more class than fiends at car boots ! 🛎️🔚S
i cant be done with carboots unless its a really nice hot sunny day ... like that happens lol
soon hopefully
He said 2.50 for that keyboard he gave him 2 quid walked off lol.
Must have misheard 😬
I saw that 😂 savage tactics … keep your eye on him!
Do you think people will catch on with the blue bags and charge more ? As even in the videos by resellers seeing more and more and who on earth has £400 to pay for one item lol esp used bike leathers love to of seen your face lol
My face was like this 😧😮🤔😂
catch of the day seems to pay well for me
This kind of car boot put me off them for life, Letting the buyers in at the same time as the sellers, Reminds me of a nature documentary and a swarm of flies on a fresh pile of sh1t.
Then nothing like having an argument and bartering over 10p or 20p items to really set you up for a good car boot.
One guy would not give the 50p i was asking for a brand new in packet 4GB memory stick. He came back about 4 or 5 times, so i just smashed it up in the blister pack, using a claw hammer i was selling.
Favourite memory of a car boot was setting up the table placing a colourful salt n pepper set at the front, and was inwardly laughing watching as this guy sprinted full pelt from about 50 ish meters away as soon as he seen me set it up on the table. Let him almost pick it up and said its not Clarice Cliff mate, seen him slope off and sit down beside a car, to get his breath back, he was well knackered lmao. But i bet he could have beat Usain Bolt that day haha.
people buying electronics from car boot sales really makes me laugh!! they are there for a reason !!! old junk that no one wants and it doesn't work !
I wouldn't go to a car boot if you paid me!
£50 & a cuddle! 😆
Is this denham?
It's that same guy who uses every trick in the book to get whatever he wants DRAMA ALERT I hope the bigger fella got the better of him
Looks like you need to keep an eye out for a new wallet 😂
Na
Best part of a car boot ,for me is a cupa and some food .
Oooh ya
Denham on the whole isnt a nice carboot in terms of how buyers are, i find the sunday carboots alot better
True
Denham is the biggest dump heap of a bootsale I've ever seen. Most normal sellers will never go back.
£400 was he crazy
Have you sold the bread maker?
Which one was you after ? I have a few listed
Spoiler alert haha Not guitar hero box set, but that's OK you got that today
Gotta learn your games!
I know my games 🙏🏻
22:27 eating whilst wearing gloves preparing food, not good. ThTs a big no no.
Haha giving himself salmonella

Any vintage signs
Vintage beer/ Drink cans (Again, Anywhere as late as the 80s.
I'll add some more if i think of anything.
People buy second hand toasters? 🤯
Oh yeah they buy everything int
Who buys a ratty old toaster that someone might have been drying their socks on when you can buy a brand new one for a tenner from Asda or Dunelm?
People that don’t buy shoddy £10 toasters in Asda I’d expect 😂
I recognise that one! I'm sure that bloke that sold it took it off me for scrap...
Yeah... he did. I used it to dry my pants in when I shat myself once, left it on the drive and he rocked up and I said he could "av it".
@@thefiestaguy8831 sounds about right 😂
@@thefiestaguy8831 A bloke a few doors up from me rolls his turds into little rounds with a rolling pin and pops them in the toaster. They come out crispy and then he wangs them across the neighbour's back gardens like frisbees to get rid. He says doing this saves him a fortune in water rates as he's not flushing the lav 3 times a day.
@@asensibleyoungman2978 This made me chuckle...
He should start up a little business... "Toasted poo cakes for sale"...
Wouldn't surprise me if his second-hand brown rolling pin ended up being sold to someone unsuspecting at a "car boot".
ebay resellers 💩
You good mate?
All those covid breadmakers are for sale now!
Haha yeah 👍🏻
Did I blink and miss the DRAMA?
Sounds like it yeah
Do you not buy clothing items ?
Yes I just don’t show it often because it’s boring to watch imo
Should by yourself a new wallet 😅😅😅😅😅
na
Bin to loads of car boot sales.
Waste of time.
Never seen a car boot for sale????😮
🤣☝🏻
"Been to"...
But, whilst i'm at it... want to hear a rubbish joke?
"Bin there, done that".
Jeez the ikea bags are so cringe.
Imagine thinking a bag was cringe 😂
i know that guy who bought the snes he never sells stuff but heard rumors he doesnt do ebay but cex and gets very funny he likes the saying this is mine i am like if your that despeate u can have you manchild haha says big amounts for gaming stuff scares him right off i dont have to do carboots anymore i got my sources good riddins ti early wakeups haha
Grown men holding hands going to bootsale together calling themselves flippers
Rummaging through kids toys and old shoes I throw away.
If there is any money to be earnt your ruining it by exposing it. Just really cringed out.
Recording people on a chilled out Sunday morning on their hands and knees in a field.
Starting drama bro your bound to get knocked out over there one morning haggling for 50p
You seem rather salty is that because i take all your good items ? Haha grow up
Who the hell expects someone to pay £400 for bike leathers at a boot sale!
🤷♂️
Are vintage gaming console still that rare I know during covid everything went up in price because of inflation 😂
I always love to troll these idiots that sell these consoles at 4 times the price on eBay 😂
I only use eBay now for books and clothes electronics is a no no from me
They will only get rarer
@@FlippingSloth Depends on what the definition of rare means, in the wild yes they are rarer than they were say 25 years ago when more people were offloading them for newer consoles but among the collecting circle gaming consoles are far from rare. Any mass produced gaming consoles arent rare.
@@scott4015 Plenty of limited run special edition and Day One consoles that are rare and sell for a good bit more than the common counterparts. Especially if they come in original (and if possible) unopened boxes.
@leslieperkins759 I'll give you 50 pence.
