Thank you Amy I recently attended a workshop and tried T’ai Chi Chih for the first time (having given up T’ai Chi). Love it and your instruction is wonderful Kate.
Wonderful wonderful practice! I’ve been doing tai chi chih for years now. Your instruction has really helped smooth out some of the rough edges of my own practice. Thank you so much for creating this video! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you so much! I recently discovered this style at my local YMCA in which I now take two classes a week! It’s wonderful to have a practice group! When at home I can now practice with your marvelous videos! Thank you!
Hi Antonella, when sinking, the knees track over the feet. Then when stepping out, in the forward backward movements, the front knee should track over the front foot as the weight shifts forward. The back foot is turned out slightly, up to roughly a 45 degree angle (depending on each individual body) to provide best stability. The fluttering of the fingers happens naturally over time and is involuntary. It is a natural expression of the movement of the energy or “chi” flowing through the body. Best not to concern oneself with it. Just do the movements, swimming through very heavy air with the attention anchored in the bottoms of the feet and enjoy!😊
Amy, the YMCA where I have been doing classes once a week has been closed due to the covid19. I have been doing some of the moves at home, but I have forgotten some and some I did not do correctly. I was thrilled when I ran across this video. Thank you for being there for us. It is a joy to follow along with you. I will try to do some if not all of it every day. You are the best.
I really need this.I'm so grateful for these videos.
