You are missing the alternate Monkey King set, the only set that gives you closed toed boots lol. You can find it at chapter 6 on the very top of the mountain you start the chapter in, its in a chest next to a tree.
sadly from what i here you can't upgrade its drip. stats make it a beast in later NG++ though with all reli slot active combined with the staff that gets OP from defense
Great vid. I wish they let us know some of these mechanics like the appearance change when upgrading and how upgrades add extra stats etc. I didn't know about it until I was done with the game. Maybe that's my bad but it isn't obvious or explained and no one I know knew about it either.
But it’s like that in every game though. You need materials to upgrade it, and then you need special materials to upgrade it further thats when it starts changing appearances. God of War is one example, it’s basically like this. If you play this type of games then you should know.

Mythical Serpentscale Set, Ying-Yang Daoist Robe, and the Yaksha Outrage Set are my favorites. I prefer the slim silhouettes & style of the robes; regal and badass. Darth Maul-Yaksha-dark in the shadows is my comfort robe.
Classic Wukong set is the best in the game maxed out and paired with dark iron staff+spell binder, melts everything in the game. Also has the best defense
You missed a fundamental piece on the centipede set. It's a special item you get from Venom boss. By hitting his back only he will lose his arms then at the end of the fight you will get the Venom arm guard item. This item give poison to your enemies by critical hit. Everytime you hit a critical you infect your enemies by poison.
It took me until the beginning of chapter 6 to realize that when you max out the armor it looks different, and that was only because of a RUclips short
Yo I’m on my 3rd play through and I just figured that the yin- yang robe is so slept on. Yea the base stats are bad but the unique effect is actually pretty good. Probably the best defensive armor in the game if you pair it with bull king

i cant believe the bronze monkey set isnt apart of the deluxe set, is fully obtainable in game early at blue rarity and doesnt change at apl despite it having one of the better set abilities

It depends. You can mix, but if you want the complete "set effect" you need to equipe all 4 pieces - or 5 in the case of Wukong's armor - of said armor.
The bronze set definitely should've had an alternate mythical appearance. I enjoy the perks on it with the immobilize buff but it just looks so mid compared to endgame armors

Man loongscale set looked way better in the non upgraded version, too much random gold…also serpent scale set looks the best I really wish it didn’t have a super niche use
I wish all the sets could be upgraded to have at least the same defense and maybe even have a special bonus. I like the golden set for my build but the defense is lacking even compared to the upgraded pilgrim set
If they don’t add a transmog system for this game I think that will be very disappointing… the armour in this game are probably in my top 5 for most beautiful armours in games. We should be able to use the set we want while having a different look… this is game almost a perfect game in my opinion and this game not having a transmog system is the only reason why I say this game is not a 10 out of 10 banger, It’s a 9.5 out of 10 for me because of that… Even if they add a transmog system to new game plus only I’ll be happy with that…
@mlane_otta you forgot the old monkey Armor set. There 2 versions of it. 2 different monkey Armor sets. I was hoping to see the other and what it would look like fully upgraded. That’s if you even can. And no I’m not talking about the monkey set you get for free with the jingubang.

You missed a complete armor set, that is in chapter six in the middle of the forest, which is a kind of revisitation of Wukong’s armor.
