In this video, we are going to see about how to prepare a tasty chicken fry recipe. Chicken Varuval or chicken roast is favourite for my kids and it goes well with plain sambar and rasam sadham.
It is very easy to prepare and it can be best side dish for poori or chapathi.
Usually I use to cook the chicken seperately so that it can be cooked pefectly and remains soft.
Ingredients :

Marinate chicken for atleast 30 to 45 mins
For Marination :

Chicken 500 gm
Curd 2 Tbsp
Red chilly powder - 3/4 Tsp
Coriander powder - 3/4 Tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 Tsp
Salt - 1/2 Tsp
Cook the Marinated chicken in a pan:

Oil - 2 to 3 Tbsp
Add marinated chicken pieces
Saute 5 Minutes in High Flame
Cover with a fully closed lid
Cook for 12 Minutes in Medium Flame
Keep Aside
Prepare Masala for chicken:

Take a pan
Oil 1 Tbsp
Cinnamon 1/2 inch
Lavang / clove 2
Fennel seed 1 Tsp
Onion 1 large size finely chopped
Saute till golden brown
Crushed Ginger Garlic 1 Tbsp
Green chilly 1 medium finely chopped
Tomato 1 medium size finely chopped
Saute till mushy
Red chilly powder 1/4 Tsp
Coriander powder 1/4 Tsp
Garam masala 1/2 Tsp
Pepper powder 1/2 Tsp
Salt as required
Add chicken Stock
Saute till the masala thickens
Fry the chicken with Masala:

Now add the chicken pieces with
the thick masala.
Add chopped Coriander leaves.
Saute 2 to 3 mins in medium flame.
Cover and cook for 5 mins in Low flame.
Open the lid and flip the chicken pieces.
Again Cover and cook for 5 mins in Low flame.
Serve with white rice and plain sambar.
