    Thanks for sharing real-world real-time insight into some of the particulars of this machine... it was helpful to see beyond what the instruction manual and videos show!😎

    Nice video! One question, do you still need to supply an airpump for the air assist to function?

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  2 года назад +2

      Yes, you need to add your own pump. All you need to do is connect the hose. Everything on the laser is complete

    Love your channel, so figured I’d ask you a question on the LM3. Bought about a month ago and nothing but connection issues. Drops jobs constantly. Over 40 emails with tech support. Everything tried doesn’t fix the issue. Have you experienced this at all? Think I’m gonna return it and go with the x-tool

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  Год назад

      I have not been pleased with it. I’ve only done one video with it and I have moved back to the xTool and Sculpfun

    Actually, there is a reason why I don't make assembly videos about Ortur lasers. Ortur provides them both on the USB stick and on their RUclips channel.

      Yes, you are correct and still people have problems.

      The Ortur installation video is good, but it doesn't have the 'PawPaw' touches of usefulness!!

    Okay, I am now convinced that I NEED one of these. The assembly looks so very straightforward .. Thank you for showing just how do-able it is. (Christmas, HURRY UP!)

      This Ortur and the xTool D1 Pro are leading the industry in my opinion

      I bought a OML3 recently and is this video is by far the best instructional assembly video out there. I wish I watched this one first.

    Hello Paw Paw. I think I watched one of your videos where you show how to frame your project multiple times in Lightburn with just one click to ensure the file was where you wanted to be without having to click however many times. Can you let me know how?

    Thanks for the detailed assembly video. I want to get a rotary for this also. Does the quick connect for the rotary only work for the new V3 rotary or does it also work for the V2? - Thanks

    I just received my LM3 this month. And they have included the printed manual now. One piece I don’t understand. Check page 11. They say to not run the cable in the red area. Not sure why, bu there is no way to keep the cable up in the upper area where they want it. On the won end, I can see whay they want to there, based on where the cable comes out the back. The connector doesn’t even fit up on the shelf they want the cable to sit one. Any ideas?

    Love the diode laser videos they have helped alot but I have question about cnc which for a person with no experience in cnc which machines would you recommend for a beginner could you do a video on it

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  2 года назад

      Thank you very much. If you have no CNC experience then I would suggest getting the largest machine possible based on you budget and space in your shop. The reason is you can also do small projects on a big machine. But it becomes difficult to do a large project on a small machine. Inventables XCarve with easel will get you up and running quickly. After about six years of having this machine I still use it for quick projects and for testing concepts. The FOXAlien VASTO is an excellent small machine and you can put easel software on that as well. The CNC4NEWBIE New Carve is an upgrade to the XCarve. Sooner or later you will outgrow the easel software and you will most likely move to VCarve by Vectric. This is a lot of information. I’m happy to answer any questions that you have to get you started

    I love your videos Paw Paw. You do such a good job on them. Having said that. I don't know why you like the idler design so much. The screws that go with the idlers are not long enough to lock into the lock nuts. If you tighten the screw enough to lock into the nut the idler won't turn freely. When you are setting the tension and tighten the tension screw it pushes the idler into a slightly crooked position. I think it's a terrible design.

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  2 года назад

      Interesting, I did not have that problem. I tightened them tight and they still turned freely. I like it for its simplicity and ease of access. The xTool D1 has a better design just not as easy to get to. Thanks for watching

    Have you done any norton tiles on the OLM3? If so, what setting are you using? I've just did some at 100/90. On your video on the norton tiles your speed and power were way lower. Please keep up the great video's!!!
