The optimal Bad Religion line-up!
As a long-time fan of Bad Religion - as well as a former touring audio engineer - I remain ecstatic when I hear this performance. I spent all three days that weekend, at the Palladium. Along with Darby (Ben is Dead) and Larry (Genetic Disorder), I was very happy that Epitaph invited us (Angry Thoreauan) to be a part of this legendary event. I still have the T-shirts that Epitaph Records gave us for that weekend.
I still wish that they would have done "Yesterday." I can't imagine how the originally silly percussive bits would have been done by Brooks Wackerman (one of the most amazing percussionists, I might add - and I have worked with loads of them from early 20th century jazz to late 20th century metal), but I'm sure it would have been as memorable as the rest of this brilliant performance and recording.
I just love Brooks! You can really hear that it's him playing when he does, he is amazing!
Hats off to the drummer... dude is going HAM sounds great
How the hell does this man do 25 songs live while sounding just as good as the recorded versions, at his age !
Graffin is super human !
because he doenst really sing ...more just talk
@@e30325ikiller Well I think the case is he doesnt have much songs that are high pitched so its not a big problem to sing well in your "comfort zone".
the answer, kind sir, is that he is indeed superhuman.
Clean livin
Super human my ass, he had no voice on this show and he was 39 that's not old.
one of the best live DVDs on the planet, And best punkrock band EVER! LONG LIVE BAD RELIGION!
This must be the most eloquent polite intellectual punk band of history! Greg is awesome.
I don't know if I would call a band with a song called "Fuck You" polite, but the other two are absolutely true
greg is a PhD holder in the sciences as you likely know.
@@charliechan578 Even in Zoology, I mean, who doesn't like Zoology?
The entire show is incredible. I was thrilled back in 05 when I used a gift card to F.Y.E that I got for my birthday to purchase this DVD that I found for the first time in that store, and realized it was brand new and their first live DVD ever. One of my best gifts I got myself.
This American Jesus is one of the best live versions ever. The breakdown on this one is flawless, and you can hear the guitars making some melodic changes during it to accompany Jay's legendary bass line. I've never heard another live version do that. Love it.
I really miss Brooks and Hetson. This was the perfect BR lineup.
Definitely dude, and with Brett included!
I was at this show... it was one of the best BR shows I have ever been to! My favorite part of the show was when Graffin does Cease unplugged. Amazing!
I've listened to you all since 1983 I just turned 50 in November this year in 2020, you all shaped and defined my life in ways even I cant even express and probably dont even know right now, thank you soooooooooo much! ♥
Very similar story here my friend.
A (very late) Happy 50th to you Dawn!!!! Hope you're showing your 6th decade what you're made of! Big loves xxx
Same. That 1st album was a game changer for me -- now 55 yrs old.
This guys are just great they´r music come from the heart ! I have listended to them since I was 15, now I am 37 :) never get tired.
Saw them 1989 at the Arena in Vienna, Austria, Europe. Was my first real live concert I attended: They simply blew me away.
Lucky
I remember I played this for a friend and he was like ehh Greg sounds so good because it’s dubbed over and I being a super fan and seeing them live 30+ times knew. Greg is just that dude. So good.
The backing vocals are overdubbed, cause to this day Jay's backing vocals are badly off key... but as far as Greg goes, you're right, this is all him unedited.
Sinister rouge is such a badass song!!!
It's about time for another bad religion tour to come through town.
"Where's my makeup?" hahahaha Greg is awesome!!
MR Brett's vocals add SO much to the sound. digital Boy sounds AMAZING!!!
Just want to point out that the backing vocals are so spot on !
My favorite band since I was 16! (21 year ago)
I feel you bro, even BR is my favorite since '94, still I fucking love this band... I listen to metal predominantly, but BR is my favorite band, ever
I was 14. 23 years, lololol
lol, we still young
This comment was 5 years ago, but still it's the best band ever to me. I fucking love Bad Religion!
Gotta love Tim McIlrath rapping
he nailed the rap too
Suffer will forever be one of the best songs AND albums, period.
Music brings back good memories of the good ol days.
A ρε Συγκροτηματαρα!
My first punk rock live gig! 1996, Athens Greece!!
I have no idea what this dude just sayed! :)
Today, 5/2/14, they will play in Rio de janeiro - RJ - Brazil and I will be there! :)
Luis Mariano sayed? :D
had said* ? :P
Ωραιος ρε Ευτυχη! Ελπιζουμε να ξαναερθουν Ελλαδα καποτε!
So many goddamn memories around this band and this show....
Only Greg can get away with saying "Hitherto henceforth" at a punk rock show :)
I was waiting for a "theretofore" also ;)
i've seen a lot of bands in a lot of cities at a lot of diff venues. The Hollywood Palladium is the best place to see a band , best sound
I agree with you. I love the palladium.
Thanks. I was getting ready to google it. It sounded familiar, but I couldn't for the life of me think of where it was.
This is by far my favorite BR show. I’m so happy I got to see them live with these members (multiple times) Thanks for the upload 🤘🏻
This video is only the live show. I am also going to upload the full DVD, with the interviews. Stay tuned, it's going to appear before the end of this year when there is time enough. :D
51:22 AMAZING double bass on the drums! Nice addition to "21st Century Digital Boy"! Out of all their songs, this is the one they keep playing around with the most, always changing and adding new bits and pieces! This keeps an already amazing song fresh in my opinion. Bad Religion are MASTERS of their craft at this stage, and I don't mean just masters of punk, I mean masters of ALL music! They are fuckin' awesome, always were, always will be! From number one Irish fan, Davey Hughes... :)
Well said my friend
n/!!!
David Hughes p j
Even better is Jay's reaction to it. He's like 'wow kid that was awesome!'
Wackerman is seriously skilled. He really belongs in Avenged Sevenfold where he can properly show his talents.
Jay even looks back and smiles at him. He's pretty good!
fantastic show! I need a time machine to go back there again!
Do What You Want ---> We're Only Gonna Die ---> ending on Sorrow, then Skyscraper over the end credits . . . It's so perfect.
Tim and Greg's high-five at the end of Let Them Eat War (at 29:32) is one of the top 3 best high-fives on record.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAY BENTLEY! LIVE FOREVER!
The drummer is SOOO GOOD!
Wackerman...he's now drumming for Avenged Sevenfold, which is actually a better venue for his extraordinary talent.
Check out his brother Chad Wackerman, too. Another master drummer!
@@elmoblatch9787 If you haven't already done so, check out Infectious Grooves for something different of his early career.
You just gotta love Mr. Brett's Headbanging 52:09
cool to see brett playing grey race era stuff
That's what I thought, he show's great respect.
His backing vocs are on point too
what a sound !!! 3 guitars, it's make the difference ! this is just perfect in live.
plus the voice of Greg which is so perfect. That's i call a real singer.
+bonnin baptiste too bad that ship has sailed
they shred so hard
John Redcorn Hell yes they do. \m/
Generator is so awesome on this DVD with the epic drums at the end around 0:56:00. I could watch it all day.
This was just wonderful! I was supposed to see them in Seattle, but I may have ovarian cancer and this will be it (unless they tour soon). Love you guys!
Such a great DVD!
I bought this back in 2007 which is when I had REALLY started getting into this band, and it was great because it allowed me to discover songs that I hadn't previously noticed. Modern man, Kyoto now and God's love stand out in that regard. I would watch this DVD over and over and I couldn't believe how good this new favorite band of mine was. They still are, and they're still my favorite band!
The only thing that bugs be a little is that the sound is kind of muddy. There's no power in the drums, they could be clearer and more punchy. Oh and I wish that Cease was a full band version. How great would that have been?
I miss the Shows...
Suffer album change my life!!
First time I hear this great live show...the choirs are definitely dubed in studio (All There Is !!). Bad Religion is my favorit band EVER but only Greg can sing in this band :)
I kind of figured that...in all the live shows I've seen on RUclips they never hit the harmonies anywhere near that well :)
I miss bad religion with brooks and hetson
Same man :( they haven’t been the same live since
Greg&
Jay&
Brett&
Brian&
Brooks&
Hetson 🖤
I'm partial to a bit of bobby schayer live on the kit. So solid.
@@brendancarson8325 Sure, I agree and I still liked all the posts of this thread and similar threads.
Fuckin hell these guys sound great and are super tight. Did not expect this.
Such a great show. Love seeing these guys. everytime they are in town i cant miss it.
Lucky you, they would never come to my island, but if they did I'd spend my last dime to be on front row like I did when NOFX came to Puerto Rico, but NOFX is my second favorite next to Bad Religion.

When your songs are so short you can just play all of them!
I can't remember Bad Religion s road manager. But we met. He gave us a flyer to see Offspring . I just wanted to say thank you. For letting me see the show. Me and my family loves you. I would still love to hang out with you'll
Greg is the coolest guy i've ever seen on stage !
Now THIS one I can view. This is the by far best quality of this dvd I've found on youtube. Thanks! Every single one of my favourite songs by them was played in this concert. :D
goddammit why can't this go louder
Love THIS BAND!
i love this band
Brett came out of hibernation for this
Great DVD, need to dig it out and watch it again.
29.00 OMFG !!!!!! YEAH !!!
Best lyrics and music and pure energy I've seen
Meine Lebensretter !!! Immer wieder !!! LOVE !!!
Esta fue y sera la mejor formación de Bad Religion... Vengan de a uno
Holy shit they are so good live
They sound best whenever Starbolt is playing with them; he makes the harmonies work. If it's just Jay and BB stringing the vocs are off
Good Show!!!!!!!! Fan since the 80s!!!!!!!!
My favorite band, at my favorite venue,.... got to see em a couple of times there.
showzaço!!! maravilhoso de ouvir enquanto trabalha!!!
great great concert !!! With Tim McIlarth also!!love love you bad religion!
I saw Bad Religion at the Palladium with TSOL in Jan. 1991
Tim mcilrath from Rise Against 🤘🏼
INFECTED!! OMG 🤩
Been a BR fan since Suffer came out in 88. I just got done reading Punk Paradox…Graffin was and will always remain the godfather of punk, the greatest lyricist of all time. Fucking incredible!!!!
First saw them at the Boston Arms, London (1990). They allowed me to sit on the stage for the entire gig against the wishes of the bouncers, as I had ridiculously bandaged broken thumb. I looked like something out of Laurel and Hardy. Brilliant gig though!!!
My first and only true love
Long live BAD RELIGION !!!
gawd damn... brooks during generator
a música que fez eu gostar da banda, sensacional!!
best dynamics, even if 1992 he was younger, energy here is best, of around 4 live concerts I listened in the last 48 hours
Fuck yea, two of the best Tim M and Greg G. Of course he would appear on Let Them Eat War. I wish they did more together, those two.
What a great show. Thanks again
Bad Religion, Beastie Boys,,,,,,, couldn't tell you my fave band ever but it will be one of them.
Bad Religion, skate, São Paulo começo dos anos 90, saudades.
THANKS!!!
Sorrow!.. 🎶🎵🎶🎵
These guys sound amazing live
Nice fucking crowd. Hope I get to see these unbelievable band live too... they came to my country 3 years ago and I missed it.... :'(!!

That generator “solo” makes me cry.
Never has there been a guitar and drum solo with that kind of synergy
Excelente Aguante Bad Religion!
graffin's phrasing and control are outta this world
Wow this absolutely incredible.
greg grafin e compania sempre competentes ,letras politizadas ,rock n´roll de qualidade.
Amazing
Awesome legend
I really love this version of 'Cease' !😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Awesome show, especially after Kyoto Now
Totally brilliant ❤❤
Greg Graffin will be the Saviour of our planet
Steinar Flaten He’s not already?
I wish. Unfortunately there are just too many irrational idiots that believe in supernatural religious nonsense.. No matter what the evidence says. Very frustrating.
Not a cellphone in sight. What times. Probably my fav BR live album ever.
Bad Religion 🤘🏼🙂🤘🏼
Great!
Awesome, I like how they named the song and album each song. 🤘🔨
muchas gracias x compartir!
