You are the best teacher on RUclips. Subscribed you 3-4 years ago, but today morning, I have watched your video and easily learnt Decision Table just 3 hours before my System Analysis and Design Exam.
    Thanks Eddie !

So I have 60 legions [have worked immense overtime to grow new neuro pathways] which is a lot of brain damage. Though, the placement of brain damage on synapses and in which lobes is crucial to determine the types of side effects you’ll have, it’s still debilitating. My brain damage must have resulted in some delusion because as a ditzy gal growing up, I somehow chose software testing later on … 🤷🏻‍♀️ Ive sometimes felt like Elle woods from legally blonde in this pursuit but I’m here now! I’m preparing to write an internationally recognized exam and it’s required to understand and implement complex decision tables. Thank you for making this so easy to understand. You are highly appreciated 😊❤

Hi Eddie, thanks for the video man... I had a question - I have an complex tree (something with 50-60 nodes and each having two/three branches) - I am thinking of ditching the tree structure of documenting the decision making process (since I am not sure if I am actually covering ALL the cases...). Firstly, does it make sense for me to do that? Secondly, does that mean that as the number of cases/permutations go up, a table format is preferable for documentation to ensure I am covered on all bases?

This is excellent however using boolean expression might be too rigid plus people are different each person will do things differently. However, for the sake of creating something advance, perhaps the need to capture audio for the many spoken languages plus sometimes users do not want to write or type. The same with written language perhaps field boxes so user can just freewrite and/or perhaps request additional space if there are character count limit. Lastly, is technical drawing and educational pictures. Sometimes the need to express things using schematic symbols, mathematical/computational equations, and etc. along with typed written language the reason is some systems need to be cutting edge. Sorry hope this help I was in Singapore, Korea and Japan and their systems are highly advance. Perhaps now I know why they that these countries are among the highest in math and science. But many programmers use a checklist to make things easier for the users plus the data is more controlled for querying and etc for easy reporting. But yeah I guess an empty field box would be nice since it might reveal something new instead of predetermined answers. But I just want express various ways to capture data someone who perhaps does not want to spend their valuable time communicating in controlled UI however might just give easier video or audio feedback since our PDAs can do capture naturally ways of communicating.
Perhaps the future will be gesture inputs such as swipe left means bye swipe up ok I see a lot of this with VR headsets being added to smart phones.
