I’m an actor. Taking a role similar to you doesn’t indicate lack of talent, it’s very often something to draw from, you have to find something to identify with to play a role well. Which is why there are roles that aren’t attractive when you’re at a certain stage and then you go through something and you can play them really well. She didn’t say, “I’m playing myself” which would be different.
