Our Stake did this before Stake 5:045:08 Conference when they were rearranging and combining wards in our stake. I guess it was ok for those that participated but actually little was said about it in the end. We were all supposed to support the changes. What choice did we have? It was going to happen no matter what. No we have fewer, massive wards. But attendance has in our ward at least has already dropped off again. Think about it, nothing is going to change as the result of our complaining. You can only vote with your feet.
Fasting needs to be dis-associated from religion. Fasting is a tool to be used for health benefits w/o any religious connections. Fasting has been used for thousands of years for health benefits. Fasting is not a thing to do to show how religious you are. Another example of how religion takes something that benefits people, and corrupts it for their own gain....

This stake is just signaling in how righteous they are. Even better than other stakes.
