They ask a few questions. On the application there is a question pertaining to receiving Pardons. If you was involved in a crime, and did not receive a pardon you have to document that on the application. But if you did receive a pardon, you don’t. It’s on the application.
Honestly when we went it was hard to tell what was an interview question and what was them making conversation. Mostly talking about where you lived and employment history
As of Now 12/21 they have stopped the Interview Process in Canada and USA until further notice CBSA will temporarily suspend NEXUS/FAST interviews at enrolment centres (EC) in the United States starting Monday, December 20, 2021 until further notice. So dont renew prematurely if its not necessary and check either CBSA or CBP for when they will allow interviews again cross boarder (Im from Canada did mine in Vermont.) at YUL Airport they also stopped interviews as well
Just got approved for the Nexus card. Did my enrolment interview yesterday in Blaine Washington.
Nice!
Applied on June 12, 2024. Had my
Interview today August 8, 2024. Got approved right away. Will receive the card in 2 weeks
Not bad - renewals are taking much longer

Good point. Not sure how many folks this would apply to but still good to mention
What kind of questions do they ask at the interview? Mines coming up soon!

Trying to decide if it's worth it to renew my NEXUS
$50 and the renewal process is super easy, it's all online, they just mail you a new card - you don't have to go into the office or anything
If it saves you 45 minutes at a border station or allows you to make a flight you otherwise would have missed...even once...it's worth it.
Is it still possible to get it at the airport. In the website, they say to schedule the interview at a office near the border.
This changed as recently as last month, it depends on what country and city you're in
@@VacationImpossible Thanks for the quick reply. I am from Maryland, USA.
