Good morning all: I personally find that little red toy humorous especially in the Point Pleasant Cannal. At least there was only 1 person in the bow instead of a full house. All you need is a power loss and you are done. Thank you for another great video guys, TMP from N.J.
Seems like these captains do not have their hulls antifouled regularly...My Uncle took his boat out of the water ecery Fall to scrape and paint, of course it was a now classic woodie. I know because he made me help him down in Glen Cove!
All of these are little trailer boats for the most part, pull them out of the water and wash the thing, but then again they drive them like they care for them
I’m not a big fan of passing in the canal … unfortunately it happens a lot there when unnecessary. Having said that - the pass you highlighted didn’t impact the other boat - so it wasn’t a problem. The passing captain was a little closer to the wall than I’d ever be in there. Things change quickly
@@brandonseyfried1251 Yeah, I remember the old one. Fun times. This bridge looks like it opens normally and doesn’t lift straight up, but I guess it’s just the angle of the video and I’m not seeing it completely. Haven’t gone through the canal in probably 20 years. Maybe time for another trip just for fun.
@@jwitheri the new bridge went in service in, I believe, 1986. If you recall, the old firehouse and a gas station stood where the westbound approach grade is now. While the old bridge was still being used and the construction site and roadway had hay bales separating them we ran a lot of calls for hay bales on fire caused by cigarettes.
Gotta love bots. But here is a question, do the bots comments help your algorithm?? And I find it interesting how you don’t see too many bad captains going through Manasquan inlet but an inordinate amount going through the canal. Keep pumping out the quality content!!
I be damn if that's a good day of boating. I would have to find an off day or preferably a less popular place I go to the water to avoid the headache not creat them
That piece of water can really be a challenge at tide change an heavy traffic.. love the no wake zone too
That Blackfin and 31 Bert are the ultimate battle wagons.
Canal under Loveland bridge
@@warmfish5732 I’m guessing that reply was for someone else?
Was thinking the same. 31 Bertram is iconic.
No doubt about it
grew up in a 31 bertram. every boat i fish on now i am disappointed

Thanks for watching Thomas!
Great video I’m glad I’m back at the dock with a beer before the craziness starts
That old little Grady handled that water like a champ!
That 20' crownline's hull isn't designed for those kind of waves. They're great boats though.
Damn if I be sitting on the transom in those choppy waves

3:52 glad to see they are safe with ample floatation devices 😅
Trying to find a life vest in this video is like playing Where's Waldo.
Ahhh buddy you have officially been cut off! I am taking over!…. Went quite smooth after that

Welcome to the Beautiful brown waters of NJ
step on it capt!
That canal took a lot of boats years ago before it was widened.
Now that's a rough water way. 👀
Needed Speed and an Experienced captain!
We had a bow rider. After watching these, I'll never buy a bow rider again!
Am I totally confused here? The entrance looks like the Manasquan, but isnt that the bridge near the bay entrance?
Nope, this is the bridge by the Manasquan entrance!
The "new" Rt. 88 bridge and the Lovelandtown Bridge are very similar. The old 88 bridge could've had its own RUclips channel.

The old Bertram is still a looker
The pass was clean, but totally uncalled for. Cap should've laid back.
You guys be clazy all time
Nice fly, 4:59
Would NEVER go through there with the bow hatch open.
I live near there in the summer - where can you watch this entertainment from?
Near either of the two bridges!

Thanks Mike! Ugh the bots are brutal lol. Not sure if they help but they’re sure annoying.
Not captains. Safe boaters course participants
First Boat:
No LJ’s, bumpers out, kid on the bow. Doubt that will make it as a USCG Safety Video.
Out in that tub.
I noticed no life jackets nowhere

It’s great during the week
The guy Captaining that red crowded i/o boat was all over the place. Needs a few lessons.
More like wakes than waves, duh.
2:15 close the hatch. What a dipstick..
Not much of a no wake zone
Poor bottom design and wrong LCG
Fenders out, bow hatches open... what a shit show.
You should see Crab Island in Destin.. rental pontoons for days + alcohol
