Rigor is also 1 of those villains that people cant help but like. He has justified reasons for going after Vegeta & I would like to see this battle in action. If he joined the Z fighters, they would be truly unstoppable.

i disagree a little bit with you saying that vegeta has always been willing to fight stronger opponents than him but never in an uncalculated way. the fact that vegeta is able to tell the gap in power levels and act accordingly in time, to me actually demonstrate hes more mature; with frieza, the androids and cell he was to cocky after gaining a power boost and got wrecked each time. this time he was cocky at the beginning but demonstrated more maturity by realizing he actually underestimated his opponent and acting accordingly to the situation. i dont quite recall if this trait remain until gt tho.

Firstly, His Excellency Vegeta was never been evil, its just that he had been upbrought in harsh conquering societies (Battle-thirsty race then to Frieza empire). In Japan this arc is like 9yrs old now.The fact Rigor will go SS5 and even Gogeta SS4 will be overpowered by him.But first he'll tell how Goku/Vegeta are just baby SS4.And that their is ascended ss4 then true SS4.But he is already this naturally in base form.That he only needs to change when going SS5 The Legend.And once in this form his power just keeps growing unlimited.
1.Goku arrives and beat Rigor. 2.Rigor leaves and promise to return. 3.Rigor knew he can't beat Vegeta and Goku alone. 4. Rigor Remembered Broly. 5.Rigor and Broly teamed up. 6.Comeback to earth together for rd.2. 7.Goku and Vegeta is already Gods.
Broly is weak to them by now in this universe after they brought him back to life. Unless hes been constantly training in that hyperbolic chamber with a gravity machine thing then yeah I could see it being an equal match.

Having Goku save the day 99% of time is getting old especially when there are other awesome allied characters to work with. It would be awesome to see some other characters become the strongest even if it’s for a few episodes like when Piccolo became a Super Namekian when he fused to become whole again in the Cell Saga. He became the strongest for a short period which added a little spice to the recipe. DragonBall Super is just straight up boring to me compared to the old 💩. Thank goodness there are so many other far superior animes to watch 😆.

The Dragon Ball landscape wouldn't change at all if Vegeta's past caught up to him. He's shown multiple times, whether its like his response to characters like Nappa or Ginyu showing back up. Vegeta destroys any part of his past that returns to try to punish him. He's not going to feel bad for what he used to do, he never has, and it would ruin his character for him to be depicted doing so.
Gohan is my favorite he is all powerful in his rage state but vegeta is a brilliant tactician and he always has a grasp on what is going on in the fights even before goku steps in to fight (the cell games,and buu saga ect)
