Thanks so much for making this video! You have inspired me to paint our high walls and vaulted ceilings saving us so much money. We were quoted $1800 by a professional painting contractor.
This video was a life saver!!! I purchased all the tools which made my painting project a breeze. My vaulted ceiling looks amazing as do all the connecting rooms I painted. I am a first class amateur, or I was before this video. Thank you so much for all the details and instructions!
Omg, thank you so much. I just got an estimate of over $2000 to paint two rooms with both the ceiling and walls being the same color. I will be doing it myself tha thanks to you.
Omg! I have the same windows and a few more with the vaulted ceilings with the exception that my ceiling vaults up to 23ft. I’ve been researching and trying to figure out how to go about painting this myself. Finally came upon your video and it has shed light on how to do it. Thanks! And of course, your explanation of process as well as materials was on point. Also, I was being charged $5,000 for my foyer, living room and dining where the vaulted ceilings are. Insane!
I have 3m ceilings and spent hours looking for a ladder today. In the end I decided to try a long pole and that lockjaw gadget so I’m so pleased I just found your video! Thank you for the reassurance & demo that it will work :D
YAY! Glad it helped you save money. If you aren't comfortable using a slanted brush try an edger. Someone informed me about this in the comments it's great if you don't have a steady hand.
Thanks for posting. this video gives some great hints, thanks. I would love to see you actually using the extension rod with tool holder and brush to get an idea on how it looks in action.
Thanks so sorry! The idea came to me after I was done painting the ceilings because I figured other people might be wondering if they could do it themselves. I will say that had I known about the edging tool, I would have used that instead. Because with a brush you MUST have a steady hand.
Great explanations Wandalee! Like everyone else, I'm looking to save money on painting my two story foyer. The last job cost us $2700.00. I noticed that you didn't use an "edger" for painting along your ceiling line, and to me, this makes you VERY BRAVE! Not sure I'd risk it to a brush, but it's good to know there's a gadget to hold a brush firmly. I'm guessing you are saving a lot of people thousands on their painting projects, so GREAT JOB! Again, really appreciate your well informed explanations, and am now excited to get this paint job going! ENJOY you're NEW HOME!
Is it hard to paint the gray edge next to the white ceiling? Would you use an edger? I painted our cathedral ceiling all the time but now I would like Two different colors because my living room is all white.
Thank you for making this video… such a big help. We were just quoted 4K to have our house painted. Are you able to tell me what type of brushes you used? The first one you showed in particular to paint the edges of the ceiling….

Thank you! Never heard of it but I'll definitely look onto it now. I have a steady hand so that helps. 😊

Nice job!
great...im really scared to go on a ladder....this is just the right tools i need...going to look for it tomorrow during lunch break :-)
Awesome! Happy painting. 🤗
How did you refill your brush while attached.
I had a pan of paint on the floor and dipped in it while on the ladder. 😊

What paint did you use for your walls. That is beatiful paint.
Thank you! I Used platinum by Behr.
What is that tool holder?
Are you talking about the tool that holds the paintbrush? If so it's a lock jaw tool holder.
The lockjaw is nice but it seems like it'll take a lot of time removing and attaching the paintbrush everytime you need to load your brush
Its actually pretty easy to do. I did however realize that it would have been easier to paint the edges with an edger. 😏
@@WandaleeArnau edgers don't work well. They tend to smear and don't produce Clea lines.

I’m glad! I used a synthetic slanted brush. This is great if you have a steady hand, if you don’t I’d suggest an edger.
@@WandaleeArnau OK. Thank you so much!!! 💓 😊
Can you tell me what brush you used for the edges?
You can use any small to medium width slanted brush. 😊
It would be easier to get a taller ladder for better control of the painting.
Absolutely! But when you're afraid of heights you compromise. 😊
@@WandaleeArnau absolutely true. 😄
I love your paint color!! Can you tell the name and manufacturer?
Of course it’s called Platinum by Behr.
It is now $79.98 at HD on sale.
Thanks for this video. I refuse to pay $3k for my 2story foyer and living room
What’s the secret to clean lines without painters tape
An angled brush and a steady hand. :-)
My wife says its snowing where she is.
okay?
My husband was being silly. 😆
