Great interview! Was in this movement for 25 years and what set me free was doing what Justin did with the verses. I went through every verse from a page on Copeland and Haggins websites and read them out in context and realized every set of verses I had once believed to mean one thing actually meant another. Basically had to spend the next year relearning the Bible after that.
I was attending a Word of Faith church and they had a guest minister visit for a WEEK! The guest minister hammered the "plant a seed", "give generously", "God loves a cheerful giver" and then the worst..."Even the three kings that went to Bethlehem to see baby Jesus brought gifts"!!!! WOW!
I fell into this trap 20 years ago when I was a new Christian... my "pastor" preached that all I needed to do was "name it and claim it" in Jesus' name and I could have anything I wanted. He also said whatever I gave to the church God would pay me back 10 fold... still waiting for that check.

Giving to any of the word of faith ministries. Does not guarantee that you will reep a harvest. I used to be apart of various pentecostal churches . A lot of these word of faith preachers would come through. The intense pressure to give to their ministries with them saying. Give To our ministry and you will be blessed and you will reap a harvest. Speaking things into existence but yet missing a vital part. Asking for things according to Gods will.
Justin verified everything that I experienced in the fake Word Faith Movement..!! I followed it for years and never could get healed.!! As a matter of fact I got worse physically!! Then it effected me Spiritually.! All they could ever say was I must not have enough faith. When I quoted scripture all you need is a mustard seed of faith. Thank you for this I appreciate this understanding. God I will continue to trust your timing even if I don’t understand. I’m having a hard time paying bills and putting groceries in the refrigerator. BUT I STILL TRUST YOU LORD! My faith is what is getting me through my hard situation. I’m struggling to providing for my two autistic children since losing my job over declining the vaccine. I declined due to my pre existing health condition (Lupus) and Heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption from Forsyth Hospital. My husband passed away three years ago, I’m a single mother. I’m all alone. Both of my sons are non verbal so things are more hard on me. Every month I don’t know how we are going to make it through. Every month is a struggle, a battle to not end up on the streets. I’m so depressed and embarrassed by my situation. I’m so ashamed and overwhelmed it’s hard looking in the mirror. BUT because of my faith, God shows up every month and provides. He has even sent strangers to help me, thank you Father. Even as I face homelessness with two young children seemingly every month! I know that God will provide abundantly. Thank you Jesus. I BELIEVE!

This message of yours I, and many others, have seen on dozens of other videos. I plead with you to tell your details to the Lord. After reading these over and over on other sites, they began to sound like someone looking for attention or perhaps even made up and just mocking our faith. A true believer does not say over and over "I'm so ashamed and embarrassed, I don't know how I'm going to make it, and so on and on. I don't know, nor have I ever known a true Christian to say such things as the WORLD would say. I and others hopefully will pray for your salvation. Also the law provides services for autistic and disabled children (which I have). Even for anyone in real need. The ENTIRETY of your comment makes no spiritual sense, or even commom sense. You do need help, but first seek Salvation.
Love this channel and this video and Justin Peters. I'd like to push back on something he said at 15:09. He said that Jesus spoke in parables so only the believers would understand. I disagree. I believe he spoke in parables so that people would seek Him out, and ask of Him what He meant, so that there would be a relationship between God and man. As you may recall, the disciples were confused by Jesus' parables many times, but they often asked their teacher for an explanation.
I agree. Our women’s bible study has been in the gospel of John. Talk about parables! We sometimes have to hash them out word by word. They are hard!!!
Jesus was quoting isaiah and other places where it says that by seeing you will not see and hearing you will not understand etc. This was done bc of disobedience on the part of Israel, as God promised.

Mountains are archetypical for gods all throughout the Bible, so when Jesus speaks about speaking to a mountain to be cast into the sea, He is actually talking about the casting down of false gods through the speaking of the Gospel.
There is also worth noting that Jesus does not say "a mountain" but "this mountain". Well the temple is on a mountain and 2 chapters later Jesus says about the temole that "there shall not be left one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down". So it sounds like he's telling his disciples to pray against the temple and the false jewish religion, and of course the temple was destroyed 40 years later.
