@@vocalbooth8585 Brandy’s debut (like many of her later works) has aged well. I find myself appreciating a different song from the album everytime I listen to the project. Thank you for shining a LIGHT on Brandy. Her artistry deserves it.
i'm yours as long as you're here brokenhearted give me you. honestly, self-titled is a flawless album. a masterclass on debut albums. our forever vocal bible! 🧡
"Brandy" is a very well-crafted album. Thanks so much for giving it a much-deserved spotlight. I could always tell that great care was taken to make the vocals, production and songwriting solid. The LP is great as a complete package, rather than having a few songs contrived as hit singles and a bunch of filler. Outstanding work was done by all involved.
For a debut album it’s timeless, I think her working with Keith Crouch really made her stand out along with her unique voice. She often gets a lot of credit for Never Say Never and Full Moon (which is my fave album from her) but this one can get overlooked when looking at her complete discography.
Yes,I still rock this tune even today, what a great track. The 90s were on-FIRE-had the best black sitcoms ( Martin,Living Single ) Def Comedy Jam too.The best R&B music and groups too.
I Dedicate To U interludeS still slaps. It caught me off guard when I was listening to this album. I knew I've heard a version of it from somewhere...then I realised Drake made a whole song similar to that of Brandy's
What’s your favourite track from her debut?
Always on My Mind & Brokenhearted
at the time... movin on and sunny day.... but now... best friend and baby... honestly though... the entire album as a whole changed my life
