I went to a stylist to do a practice run for my wedding, and asked for an updo that was something soft and romantic, envisioning something very much like this. Instead I looked pentecostal. I ended up doing my own hair for the wedding, but I have hilarious portraits with my husband that were taken immediately after that practice run.

I know exactly what you are talking about... I got to learn just how crucial trial runs are on the day of my senior prom, which was nearly 150 years ago. But anyway - my friend and I went to a reputable salon that afternoon, with pictures in hand that we had cut out of magazines resembling the type of up do's we were hoping our stylists could recreate, or at the very least somewhat resemble. Long story short, my friend walked out of there looking like an even better version of the pics she had brought it... I mean, her hair was so gorgeous, that people were literally "ohhhhing and ahhhhing" as she walked by - while I nebulously trailed behind her looking very much like a disgruntled George Washington who was having a hopelessly unfortunate hair day. I mean, it was so bad that it was actually impressive.
I'm laughing here trying to picture what a pentecostal updo looks like!
How lucky is Courtney to have you to do these fabulous looks for her, love seeing your skills at work Vanity 🙌🏼

I come from a long line of Hair stylists and you my friend are just Amazing.. the things you do, the way your mind works, your precision and the attention to detail.. everything was perfection.. I could literally see Courtney in the wig as you were styling it.. I might have had a religious experience lol I know I see a few seconds in reality to the unedited video but that’s just Hands Down Hair by the Best! Vanity, you are a true Artist and I appreciate you sharing your Extreme Talent ( not just hair! I think you’re fucking fabulous just every sec I get to see and on stage, Have Mercy Jesus.) with the world. You, like many others, will go down in history as Trailblazers. Leading the way for our LGBTIA+ youth and Adults for years to come. Im so grateful kids will see people like them on Screen, in Commercials, Selling Make-up and WIGS…lol it makes me think we could get thru this one day without Suicide and Drug Addiction and come out better on the other side!

Um. You could do it with a wefted wig. You would just need to prepare the back for putting up. Which I have in another video.

It’s human hair. So steam won’t work on these.
