    Had to giggle about you saying you were making it up as you went along with the cage. That, my dear, is because you are an artist, not an artisan/craftsman. Both important, but different. I can say that, because I'm a craftsmen when I'm working as a costumer. While I am creative, picking colors and trims, making adjustments to patterns to make them work or get closer to what I need to make, I'm not pulling it out of my head and just going for it. There are steps I follow each time, a template I'm just playing with. You? You are going on instinct, taking what you have been taught and running with it. Basically? I'm usually what is hired to take orders from an artist, you are the originator of the project. I'd give a lot to have that ability, but over the years have gotten comfortable with being an artisan. I still get to play, but it's the difference between being a technical musician and being the person who create the melody and magic. I may have a few technical tricks over an artist, but I'm not ever going to be the person who looks at those tricks and throws it out the window and makes it all over into something new. You really are a treasure and I hope you know it!

    When you want to use the spout at the bottom, ever so slightly unscrew the cap at the top to allow air in/out so that the liquid latex can pour out of spout and that will help it flow more evenly without you having to squeeze the container. 👍😄

    Was watching 'House of the Dragon' the other day and thought of you. For a show drenched in money some of the wigs looked a bit rough and I thought if you want it done properly get Vanity to do it. Not sure if they use human hair or synthetic but they really looked off. The guy with the white dreads wig particularly. You would've whipped that to your sink for a condition and had it looking glorious within minutes. PS. those cloths used to be called 'J Cloths' in the UK. 💖

    I had to buy a sort of egg beater for my paints that would work on your silicone...I went to the major hardware store here in Paris and it was in the tool accessory aisle with others for drills...drill bits, but they had different sizes and of course a long narrow one that would slip in through the cap and stir that shit up for 10 Euros...I have these paints I bought on sale 3 years ago and just have to mix them well because they'll be separated terribly as into white water on top and black and magenta tar sludge on the bottom....they haven't been exposed to air so they should be good being only acrylics....that's all you'll need I believe, the silicon shouldn't rot unless you let it sit unmixed for 3 years like me....I turn it upside down every few months to the sludge does have to move around...

    • @stevenclemons1

      @@WigsByVanity yes ma'am! Just like a jug of water. It needs to take air in to let the latex out. That's why you had to squeeze the container. 🤷🏾‍♂️ no air flow.

    • @onefiercechild
      @onefiercechild 2 года назад +1

      I'd also suggest pouring the latex into an empty bottle with a lid rather than a bowl. That way you shake the bottle rather than trying to shake the whole container. Then pour it into a bowl. 🤭

    Ms Vanity. Have a question for you..
    I wear hearing aids and some wigs are down right buggery around the ear part making for very uncomfortable wear. And suggestions on other types of wigs I don’t know of that won’t hinder wig wearing experience with such bulky hearing device?
    Also what about clients who may also wear cochlear implants devices?
    Thanks sweety. Yours truly xoxo

    you have to open the top to release the pressure, so air can come in and replace the latex that's coming out, otherwise it creates a vacuum.
