Curious about whitening whites without using bleach? I've got the answer: OxiClean Max Force White Revive powder!
It's a maddening situation: dealing with dingy looking whites and trying to avoid the use of harsh products like bleach. Max Force passed my tests which is why I am happy to share it with you as a great alternative to using bleach to get those whites whiter.
This is different from the regular OxiClean product and can only be used on white, specifically formulated for either soaking whites or going directly in the machine, nothing else.

Oxyclean really does work. Add a couple scoops of Zote soap flakes also and your whites will look like new for as long as you own them!

Honestly making whites whiter is not that hard, but I have no idea how to whiten the white parts of clothing when it is not all white. I have a navy and white striped shirt and the white stripes are starting to look grey but you can't use whitening products on the shirt without damaging the navy! what do I do??

I always recommend to wear gloves when soaking clothes with oxi clean. I've seen a lot of people get a nasty red rash on their hands thinking that it was okay to use their bare hands when soaking items.
Soak them in the washer, if have a mechanical good top loader fill with hot water and the Oxi clean and detergent and once it fills up allow it to agitate and mix it all together first and then push the timer in to stop it for however long u want them to soak for. I do this all the time with mine
One of the benefits of using this is that it adds a hefty dose of optical brightener to the fabric so whites and light colors really pop in sunlight and daylight.
I just used it today. Soaked my whites in the tub for 6 hours mixing good with warm water. Literally everything was COMPLETELY WHITE like new. And I sweat a lot - plus my whites (fairly new) started to get this very slight tint that's now WHITE. works great
Hi, Melisssa... I've been using OxiClean Max Force White Revive for my whites since you mentioned it and wow...it really makes a noticeable difference. But I have a question I haven't seen the answer to, yet. I have a lot of white silk and silk blend garments...blouses, sweaters, SOCKS...that have yellow or grey tinges and I'm SO tempted to use this, even though it says not to use it on silk. But nowhere does it say why! What does it do? Does it destroy the fabric? Does it remove the dye...although in this case that would be a plus. Why do products always say, DON'T USE IT ON...."whatever" fabric but they never tell you why? Have you seen the answer in your ever-so-clean crystal ball?
OxiClean is some nice stuff! I have used the powder form and like to put a few scoops in some hot water to let the whites soak. It works pretty well and is a lot safer than bleach!

Would you recommend the Oxy Clean over hydrogen peroxide for whitening whites? (of course--no bleach)
I love OxiClean and I use it all the time as a stain removal with my daughter's clothes. But I am wondering, is it safe to use with surfaces in the kitchen. I am thinking of scrubbing the inside of my microwave with a paste of OxiClean.

This stuff is the best. It helps to remove yellowing on white shirts due amazingly well.

Yeah every wash my white bras get less and less white. I just bought Oxy clean, but not this particular one (they didn't have it on the shelves), so I guess I'll be buying this one too.

Thanks, I've been bleaching with no luck, so I'll have to give this a try, husband works in auto shop and uses white hankies and wears white t-shirts under his uniform shirts, thank goodness he's not a mechanic! I've added it to my shopping list!

Hey Melissa ! My front load washer has a slot for the oxiclean. Do I still put the oxiclean directly in the drum of the machine ?
Had the same question. OxiClean website says for HE washer "add OxiClean with detergent into dispenser to every load". I'm thinking either way will get the work done.
WE use Oxy clean Powder for everything, From clothes stains, (Which I have left soak over night with great results)..to Dog mistakes on carpets, it is magic!, My question to you would be: the oxy clean product you use here says "Max Force White revive" Is this new or maybe just the way they package it in Canada?

My son suffers from heavy nose bleeds and he had blood all over the sleeves of his white school shirt I didn't think anything would get it out as in was dried in I gave oxi clean a go and I could not believe it it completely removed the blood! As a side note I was using a cheap generic brand washing powder but when I used the big name brand one I noticed a huge difference in my whites even though it is more expensive I think its worth it as it made my whites much brighter!

There is a certain Oxiclean combined with a soap I am unsure the name I forgot and it worked amazinggggg!!! I tried different types of bleach they never worked I tried using a lot of bleach it made holes in my clothes then tried Oxi and it works best!

I have to Add this OxyClean is AMAZING. Ok, like most I had that standard Washer and Dryer and just put in soap and let er rip. After finally investing 1,200 in a New Samsung Washer/Dryer we researched everything about Laundry, so much has changed.
To Melissa's Point. Monday I got Spaghetti Stains on my Favorite Polo shirt. Soaked it for 30 minutes in bucket of water with one scoop of Oxyclean and stain Gone. Tuesday Chocolate ice cream on my shirt, repeat OxyClean, soaked for 30 minutes, stain gone. Worse, Saturday a big Wine stain on my White Shirt, Soaked overnight in Oxyclean, washed and stain gone. Need I say more.
I put one full scoop in every Washer Load and you can just smell how much cleaner the clothes are. Stains are removed by enzymes and Oxcy cover move stains than any other product. I also like the Spray Bottle of OxyClean for that quick spot removers.

Love it,i use it too.I always turn on my washing machine -with oxi clean and washing powder for 30 mins and Then turn it off and leave the clothes over night.they are super white.:-P

You could try and let only the white part soak. Leave the blue part out of the bin/bucket.
Most of the "Oxi-Clean" is color safe. Just be sure to read the label. I use it for whites and colors.
Dee Klemann just to be clear, instead of using regular oxiclean I can use this on my color clothes too. Or would it be best to use regular?

It should be......like I mentioned just read the label to be sure. As long as it doesn't have any type of bleach you should be ok!
DOESNT WORK. Tried this one, white out by rit, bleach of course even the old vinegar and soda one. NOTHING works for me.

I love OxiClean is very nice of kings that my clothes very good I use the liquid one the powdered one leave stains in my blue jeans so I use nothing but the powdered one that cleans everything I've been using it for about 5 or 6 years now someone girlfriend don't even know they still use bleach I don't use bleach I just use OxiClean it is a snap to clean all my calls I can shoot the liquid you try the liquid is very very good comes in liquid spray it's excellent have a blessed day

I use Zote whitening bar. If you search on youtube there is a video for a zote stain remover. Not only did it whiten and brighten it got out stains from raspberry jam, tomatoes, and 10 year old stains on an old sweatshirt I have had. None of them were new stains. They had been washed and dried and set it for a while. The instructions for the stain remover say to let it dry and I didn't even do that. I just scrubbed the stain remover in with a toothbrush and threw it in the wash and it still worked. OxiClean is a waste of money and has NEVER worked for me.
Oh yeah and the best part is that Zote is safe for babies.

Clorox 2, is wonderful for brighter clothes and is perfet on stains, but don't leave it on stains on colored clothes long it will fade the color. I do soak dingy whites in it mixed with a little wates in a small tub. Its wonderful when someone washes a white shirt in bleach that shouldn't be makes it so very white again.

Thanks for the video. But you didn't really go into the ingredient details deep enough or why you don't like bleach. Looking for a natural way and I'm not so sure about Oxiclean and this video did not convince. If anyone wants to comment please include some Oxiclean ingredient information. Don't just say, 'it's natural.' Lol I seen your other videos on natural cleaning tips. Please do more natural. Trying to get away from this bad stuff.

Oxi Clean is basically oxygen bleach and you can buy it as that. I get mine at Walmart (Great Value brand) and haven't noticed any difference....except for the price!
Yes i stop buying bleach mainly because im pregnant and just the smell alone, but i alway felt it was harmful to fabric.......so for ur laudry u use vinagar, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide?
