We weren’t disappointed in this episode. I sure would like to hear some of your military stories. You’re one of my favorite reviewers; love how you do things.
What a great episode and a great storyteller! That's how it should be: more pen users, reviewers and artisans rather than pen manufacturers who only plug their own brands. Inkyrocks is one of the most artistic and atmospheric channels. Go Alesa!
Discovering Alesa from listening to her on the Tokyo Inklings podcast. Alesa is amazing and I love her stories so much. Thank you for featuring her so we can learn more about her and her stories!
I only discovered Inky Rock's reviews recently and greatly enjoy them. This is the first time I have seen a Mont Blanc 149 that I didn't mostly think was just bulky looking. The beauty and elegance of this one is amazing.
Inky.Rocks never disappoints. And this interview is no exception. Beautiful pens, and beautiful pen friend. If you haven’t watched her video about the Manila 2019 Pen Show, watch it immediately after this one. You will be happy you did. Joust, Alesa, thank you so much.
Inky.Rocks (Alesa) totally inky rocks. She brought me back to fountain pens after years of keyboarding. Thank you for this "inky run-in." Your Top 3 Pens Story is inspiring. Also, thank you, Joost of Appelboom Pennen for supporting the global fountain pen community, Red Deer or Tokyo.
Thank you Alesa & Joost! 🖋Thank You Alesa for your service to our country and I enjoyed your story 💺✈️🇺🇸. I’m starting all over again since I was 12 years old when I last used my first fountain pen 🖋.. But I have rekindled my interest after watching Appelboom’s / Joost’s video’s and crossing this off my bucket list for my 60th birthday this month, I can’t wait. I’m watiting on a beautiful order coming from Appelboom’s soon ! I hope 🤞🏼 we meet some day...
What a charming lady, Joost - I must confess (to my chagrin) that I have not checked out Alesa's channel - that now, is about to be rectified. Thank you for bringing this lovely individual to my attention, Joost - & of course, Alesa too - sharing your pens & anecdotes for us all to enjoy :)
That is one of the best presentations on "my 3 favorite fountain pens". Thank you Alisa for a great video discussion of why the 3 pens are your favorites. Your first 2 pens are also my favorites but I don't have the custom finish on my Montblanc 149.
Oh my gosh, Alesa. You are so amazing! Such beautiful stories. And wonderful pens. Thank you for sharing. (And as a former ballerina, I loved the four cygnets behind you on the wall.)
Fantastic choices of pens and a truly enjoyable and compelling narrative from start to finish. I could listen to Claresa speak all day long about pens, inks and other things and not have a dull moment at all.
Thanks for this interesting video from Alesa. I enjoy watching her unique and artistic take on fountain pens and inks. She has become one of my favourite 'penfluencers' on this platform. It was a great opportunity to connect a face to the lovely voice that punctuates the artistry in her content. Thanks again.
Thank you Alesa, for Being so personal with us, really enjoy your channel even more so now. Thank you also Joost for bringing this great series in this format to us. Cheers all from Australia.
Dear Alesa, I already was following you on Insta and now seeing you "live" was lovely. Thank you for showing you personal pens together with very personal story, loved it and thank you so much, send you my love from the Netherlands, "a fellow top 3 pen" Chaim
Chaim! I loved your video and how it was so deeply meaningful. The Dutch Pen Show is on my "bucket list" so I plan on meeting you in "real life" hahaha! I found you on IG! Much love and aloha from Tokyo!
That was fantastic. What a wonderful person. Having spoken with individual pen makers who work on their own, it is the pen people you meet that makes ths hobby enjoyable. Some of us believe that Area 19 and not 51 is where the real secret stuff is. It is in the same military base as 51.Just a field with a large pipe running to the middle of it and disappears into the ground.
Inky Rocks rocks! Love the stories and the visuals - that pen bounce was as hilarious as it was alarming, just like the ink spillage videos. Thanks for sharing more of the person behind the amazing rocks & pens 🥳
I love the story of the pen-on-deck that always writes. If you find one, my advice to fountain pen newbies is, keep it in the kitchen or wherever you write your grocery lists. These kinds of lists are spontaneous and require immediacy. That arrangement restores confidence in fountain pens. I keep 4 Sailor Compass pens in my kitchen: purple, green, and burgundy ink. Great for lists. They write perfectly every time, no hard starts. Absolute utilitarian pleasure!
There are so many reasons why Inky Rocks is one of my favorite pen sites -- now I see there's a new one! Alesa, we've both been in the USAF (even if I didn't fly -- jealous!).
Ultem does have a weak point, being a brittle material, is susceptible to sharp impacts, and cracking. Best to avoid dropping the pen body multiple times on hard surfaces.
This was so fun!!! Love the stories. For anyone who has never seen her channel just go to Inky Rocks on youtube and click on any of her videos, they are all simply ...awesome!!
Thank you so much for including me in this series! It was fun! I've watched all your past ones and look forward to watching the new ones!
I knew it was gonna be good, and it was better than good! Congratulations xxx And Joost, thank you also, you picked a good one there!
This was one of the best videos in the series.
We weren’t disappointed in this episode. I sure would like to hear some of your military stories. You’re one of my favorite reviewers; love how you do things.
This has been the best of the series.
Where can i buy a Kasama Una? any websites? thanks
Wow..It is nice to see the face behind the relaxing voice. Thank you for sharing these very interesting stories...
InkyRocks creates some of the most artistic and thought provoking videos on fountain pens.
I’m looking forward to this release.
As expected: this was wonderful.
Thank you.
Perfectly said!
