Good review, but your interpretation of how CPU performance is determined is incorrect. The clock speed at which the CPU runs at is just one out of multiple factors that determine how powerful a CPU is. The other factors that come into play are number of cores, the architecture of the chip, cache size etc. For example, a modern computer or even smartphone CPU running at 2ghz would completely blow an old Pentium 4 CPU running at 3ghz out of the water. But other than that I really enjoyed the review, good job.

One suggestion: try to normalize the audio between the room audio and voiceover. The gameplay footage's sound is really loud in comparison. I loved the video, though! It's an excellent review. Good info, well shot, well edited and paced. Its wonderful!

Correct, from a physical standpoint, it's seems possible. Why else would it have 2 USB-C ports, but upon checking it further, it doesn't support external monitor.

You might want to do the following: Use the charger that came in the box to charge it. There might be an issue with the SD card. I have added a dropbox link to the description. In it, you will find the contents of both SD cards. The content of both SD cards was copied from the device you saw in the video. Use a Sandisk SD card and copy them. The only issue is that it's an ISO file, and I just copy-paste it. So you might need to convert it to ISO if it doesn't work.
I guess that if you buy the Console for $40, that you don't get 20,000+ games pre-installed with it? Personally, I think it's wonderful. It supports all of the games that I grew up playing from the mid 1980's onwards, to today, on all of the consoles that I remember owning. I fully plan to buy one at the end of the month, but I will only buy the model with all of the games on it. Lately, I am more interested in playing the games that I grew up with, than I am in playing modern MMO's that are 100's of gigs in size, and take six months to farm for your character, before you even get anywhere. I actually loaded all of these emulators, and games, on to my Steamdeck, but it doesn't feel right. The console is too big for these games. The console needs to be about the same size as a Game Boy Colour, and this Console fits the bill perfectly. The ONLY way that system could possibly be any better, the ONLY way, is if it supported the PS Vita, through the Vita 3K emulator.
This was well put together. Im suprised at how little views it has. All up i think the effort you put into this video was great and i hope your channel does well!
PSP and PS Vita are now considered vintage devices, pretty old by now, and hard to find one in a brand new condition, and they're being outperformed by newer devices. Here's a device that I will be reviewing soon retailing at 100 USD and is an excellent all-rounder. Trimui Smart Pro Amazon: amzn.to/3AZTKDs AliExpress: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_Dc8T54b
It might be required to update firmware, which is rare. Since I haven't tried the K36, i can't say much about it, but the rating seems to be similar to that of the R36S.
@@Haxr-dq6wt yeah it’s great I played it a lot for the first month I’ve kinda lost interest now but it’s still good for train rides and when ur waiting around
In New Zealand it's over $65 on AliExpress so $40 is cheap this has all the games on the cheap Chinese game stick that connect to tv these won't but are portable
Just ordered one. Transparent purple. Really looking forward to it.

cpu power isnt measured in GHz alone, but in IPC (instructions per cycle) as well.

This thing is kind of a pain to set up with ArkOS on new sd cards, but worth it. For the price, it can't be beat. I got it for $33.
If you catch it during a sale, you can get it for around 35USD, AliExpress has something offers going on.
2:35 U can't cast the video output on a bigger screen, since the Soc RK3326 doesn't allow that: all consoles based on that chip can't do that.

Great video and explain. Just ask you for an help. Can i buy the smaller version of R36s(64Gb) and upgrade memory buying an 256 gb sd?
Thank you. Yes! When you're paying for the 256gb, you're essentially paying them to load additional games on an SD card, which you can do on your own.
Is there newer version of this console? Like more recent updated ones?
No, not to my knowledge.
Clone your SD card ASAP
Does it have silent hill for ps1
Yes, Silent Hill (USA) - PS1

Does it have the super popular titles from nint on there?
Mostly, yes. If you can't find them, they can be easily downloaded.

Wow! You have summarized a lot of my thoughts in a simple, easy to understand manner! Thank you. The only thing I would say is for its mid-90s 😃.
@@RandomTeqI don't agree. As a 90's child myself, it reaches its limit at 90's onwards games. Absolutely nails everything through the 80's

Very kind of you! Thank you so much.

Thank you for making a video on this, I could find any actual reviews so this was super helpful!
I appreciate your feedback! Thanks for tuning in.
Its consoie, not console!
Alright, thanks.
hello! great video! I want to buy one portable console..... with emulators of course, which one do you recommend? This one R36S, a PSP or a PS Vita?

Got second one with first not charging but paid just £26 this time instead £60. Also hoping works.
They have an ongoing sale. Great deal!
Hi, I'd like to ask, if the console already updated to latest Arkos 2.0 2024 version , the moment you open it?
No, it has to be done manually.
@@RandomTeq tnx, bro ❤️
Hey, are you able to save your progress? Great video btw
You can use save states (press SELECT + X, the SELECT SAVE STATE).
So my question is. Does it have dbz games?
I'm assuming you're referring to Dragon Ball Z. The answer is yes 😀
PS1, Sega and Nintendo.
Greate stuff!❤
There is now the K36? Which one should I buy. the R or the K?
Ergonamicly, the K36 is better, but the emulator version on it, doesn't support wifi adapter.

Does it has psp and ps3 games on it that are already installed?
No PS3 or even PS2 games, unfortunately. They require alotnof CPU power to emulate, and the R36S is not capable of.

I'm familiar with the HDMI retro games stick. It's much better for a group of players and get togethers, but as you said, not portable.
