Bending like this eluded me early on, but once I got the hang of it, it was time to rock! Great break down Mark😎
Thanks Rusty! Great to see you here!
Hey buddy nice lesson I got this white 92 studio it's sounds sooo nice like yours they really are all you need also the tribute I financed they really are all the les Paul's we need although I am a rosewood kinda guy this white with the ebony fretboard feels heavy but sooo Smooth anyway thanks for the lesson it was great
Thanks Thomas!
As always Mark, love your videos. 😊😊
Thank you! 😃
Thanks Mark, Betty loves it, so good to get the puppy howling🐶✨
Glad you and Betty enjoyed it!
So eloquently played and so simply explained, thank you
Thank you!
I am glad you show players these things Mark, you do justice to the guitar teaching realm on YT. Thanks.
Thanks so much!
Page, Clapton and Gilmour are the kings of overbends!
You know it!
Great lesson Mr. Mark...THANKS!
Glad you liked it!
I always enjoy your videos. Often it's stuff that I've done for years but it's still nice to have it explained. It can help in putting things together. Keep 'em coming.
Cool, thanks
You can use two fingers to bend a over-bend but it would would be a little more difficult with double stop bends or over-bends !!!
Thanks for the lesson Mark, you always make the concepts in your lessons reachable with practice. 👋🖤🦋🖤
Glad you think so!
Thanks Mark. Your channel is just great at pointing out key fundamentals of blues rock expression that don’t exclusively depend on speed to make solos great. In doing this, you also highlight a number of guitarists that are so melodic and smooth and not flashy we take their greatness for granted and maybe don’t put them on top 100 lists, e.g., John Fogerty and Don Felder. BTW, I saw an instructional video on RUclips with Don Felder demonstrating Hotel California guitar parts and solo. That guy is truly one of the greatest players of all time.
Thanks so much Dan! I think I saw that same Don Felder video. Agree with you on that!
Joe Walsh didn't join "The Eagles" until "Hotel California" And to solo work from Don Felder on the album "One Of These Nights" was out standing. It was awesome to see your great comment on him. Keep rocking and learning. Peace.
Thank you.
You're welcome!
That Jimmy Page lick in Box#3 uses "added notes" that aren't in the box#3 which Jimmy Pages often does which you should make a lesson about it. I call it the Jimmy Page Hybrid pentatonic Box#3 because its a mixture of major penta and minor penta
Sounds good. Thanks for the suggestion.
Great lesson. I don't know if it's a good comparison but your lesson made me think about the solo to just what I needed. I've been playing it in band's almost since it came out, and I still find myself not always getting all the bends hitting quite right 🎶🎸🤤
Thanks! The bending in JWIN is tough, and the song modulates, so some of the notes can seem strange. At least one of those is bent to, so I can definitely see the similarity.
Dynamic, speed, length and touch
Guys like this are the antidote to excessive shredding (which is most shredding).
You got it!
When I slide, and I miss the mark, I just bend up or down to achieve the core tone
Another insightful video. Shame I can't bend my 12 guages on my acoustic more than 2 frets!
Thanks! Yes, don't attempt this on acoustic!
And have a spare set of strings ready. Oh and maybe a spare set of fingers.
LOL, yes.
I saw a guitar channel recently say that most guitar channels are just a means for the owner to show off.
I guess if he's got flaunt it...and teach someone something along the way it's a win win lol
Okay. How does that relate to this video? Nothing difficult in this one.
@@MarkZabel don't worry haters gonna hate the rest of us know your great ha it rhymes earning my respect admiration and of course my zub
Did you really consider that “showing off?”
well, @@MarkZabel...I am cool with that! Thank you for showing that off to us. Less impressive is a man dressed in an impressive chimpsuit...but, I guess we contribute what we can.
And those peddle tones
Must be bending
