    Hi Mars
    Great video, it’s nice to hear a homeowners view on this product.
    Might be worth mentioning that there’s two models of the Daikin Air purifier, the other one also controls humidity.
    Also you can purchase these from your local Daikin Sustainable home centre, currently 31 centres across the UK.

      Thank you for the feedback and glad you enjoyed the video. I did see the humidity model on their website. It’s a bit larger (taller) and also looks great. Good to know you can buy them from their stores too. I didn’t know that. Thanks again.

    Unsure if anyone will see this as I'm commenting some time after the video was posted.
    I own an air conditioning company. One of our suppliers gifted us one of these and I have to say, I'm incredibly impressed with it. My sinus issues that I've suffered from for 10 years have gone, and my daughter would get a cough on and off, but that has now stopped.
    Everything this couple said in the video looks to be accurate.
    Its a great piece of kit. I'll have no issues advising our customers to opt for this system.

      Thank you for your comment and for sharing your experiences. This is an excellent filter that continues to do a great job filtering our allergens in particular.

    Thank you for this video. Made by decision easier on buying an American version of the daiken purifier. Very impressed with my unit (MCB50YSAU)
    Thanks again.

      Great choice. Our's is still going strong and doing a great job with pollen and dust.

  • @fallenwout

    There is no way a hepa filter has a 10 year lifespan without clogging. Where does the dust go? Dust doesn't just disappear no matter what technology you throw at it.

      @@fallenwout There is a pre filter that you can clean as often as you want using a vacuum. I think the pro point is you don't have to buy new filters every 3-6 months

      Hello,
      I thinking of getting one, any thoughts about it?

  • @nimms166

    I've been looking at a similar model here in Australia but I've seen some comments online about that ''Streamer" ionizer producing ozone which concerns me quite a bit. Daikin claims that they are under safety limits but am still a bit hesitant about making a purchase decision. Any thoughts on that?

    • @MyHomeFarm
      @MyHomeFarm  2 года назад +3

      I’m not aware that the streamer produces ozone. I’ll have a look into it, contact Daikin and get back to you once I have more info.

      @@MyHomeFarmHi did you get answers from Daikin about the ozone? Also have you smelled any ozone odour?
      They admit on their manuals that their Streamer produce ozone but "However, the amount is negligible and is not harmful to your health." Well I'm not sure if I can trust on that "sure it produces ozone but don't worry bro!" type of answer. No data about the amount of ozone it produces. For me just the fact that it produces ozone (as every ionizer does) is a red flag for anyone's health. Such a shame as I thought I finally found the perfect air purifier.

      @@pekkaollinen6247 I am in the same boat. Mine is MC55XVM6. Did a lot of study over the ActiveIon and Streamer that our daikin purifiers have (switched the Active Ion function in mine). I did find some obscure singaporean website that claimed this purifier produced 0.01 ppm of ozone in 30 mins (The safety standard is of 0.05 ppm internationally). I want to get an ozone meter to test it myself but they are too damn expensive in my country. Will post in case I do get it/ get some answers

    Thank you! Great video and review. I'm trying to decide between this and Mila. How does the Daikin handle fluffy dust? I have a c25m2 living room and tired of hoovering every morning. Lol thank you!

    • @MyHomeFarm
      @MyHomeFarm  2 года назад +2

      It’ll probably get caught on the outside filters that protect the air intakes. They’ll need to get vacuumed fortnightly. Im afraid this isn’t a silver bullet for vacuuming.

    What are your thoughts a year later? How can the filter last for 10 years?

    • @MyHomeFarm
      @MyHomeFarm  Год назад +8

      It’s been doing very well actually and has exceeded expectations - we vacuum the side grills and filters once a month, and the purifier is excellent at eliminating odours (such as cooking) in a very short period of time.
