I forever will say that HOW you use something and the context with which you use it, determines whether it’s racist or not. When a white mother colors her white sons skin so that he can dress up as his HERO who happens to be a black soccer player, I will NEVER see that as racist.. In other words, we’re both racialized.

I am in CA, I work with juveniles, and it's crazy seeing how Hispanics try to use the word when blacks aren't around but let a black person be in the room. We even have had fights break out over it because someone slipped and said it.
I work in the biggest county in CA, and I hardly ever see Mexicans use the word, but they get online acting as if it's part of their everyday vernacular. it is not, and don't let these little comments get ya'll in trouble.
