Diodato - Fai Rumore - First Semi-Final Interval - Eurovision 2022 - Turin

- The second interval act of the First Semi-Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 is Fai Rumore by Diodato, the song he would have sung in Rotterdam 2020.
Diodato won the 70th Sanremo Festival back in 2020 with the song Fai Rumore - which topped the Italian charts and looked set to captivate an international audience at the Contest scheduled for Rotterdam.
However, as we all know, the COVID-19 pandemic changed everybody’s plans and prevented the artist from Aosta representing his home country, Italy, in the Netherlands

Assolutamente!🇮🇹💚🤍❤️
12 pts ❤️❤️❤️
Canzone bellissima
The audience during the acoustic part is just WOW. This is what Eurovision is all about. Instant BRIVIDI.
This IS Italy and Torino 🇮🇹
the most on-tune audience ever heard, right?
And this will be the audience at the final during Brividi’s performance ❤️
I dont get why there is no audience on the floor. I miss all those flags..
@@ronia8653 The floor in front the stage it's the area for the Green Room. The National delegations are sitting there of on sofas

This is hands down one of the most touching moments ever on Eurovision.
❤❤
👍🏼❤️❤️
2014 danish interval act was awesome too tbh
This is just how the audience have to interact with the artist and the artist with the audience
@@tuu.italianaa the audience was silent. The chorus was fake and pre-registered
When the audience starts to sing along the chorus OMG the chills
And tears in every Italian house. This song is part of our history
For us Italians, this song has a special meaning as we used to sing it a lot during the 2020 lockdown
It was just a fake pre-registered chorus that looked like the audience was singing. I was there in the audience and believe me, nobody was singing.
@@marcoaldrovandi4505 you are keeping saying this but a lot of people that were there are saying completely the opposite, you are the only one stating this... Not saying what you are saying is not true but I found it strange that a lot of people describe a completely different experience and saying that everyone was singing
@@marcoaldrovandi4505 If that's true, it makes me incredibly sad. But typical EBU, who inserts "fake cheers" for Russia.
I see now why esc 2020 was cancelled. This is the way this song was meant to be performed. FAI RUMORE !!!
It’s crazy to think about Eurovision 2020 being cancelled, Italians singing this song during quarantine on their balconies, Diodato singing this in the empty arena of Verona. Him singing about this silence, hard to take and how he makes “rumore” to break it. After 2 Years the whole Eurovision community makes “rumore” together with Diodato after all this time 🥺❤️ I think this will be my all time favorite Eurovision performance…
❤❤❤❤
🥹🥺
Exactly that! Thank you
We finally got our moment. Plus it's the WHOLE song, too!
Same here my friend, same. ❤️❤️❤️🥺
For Italian people this is an anthem of the first months of lockdown. We used to sing or play it on balconies, over the silent city. Diodato sang it alone in an empty stadium on live tv. The crowd singing along here gives it closure. It's almost over. We went through the bad times together and we survived. This is what that moment meant to every Italian present and watching.
I couldn't agree more. We Italians have experienced something which noone else could really understand..and this song is more than a song: it's part of us
Epic, an anthem of the human spirit. Bless you all, from Portugal.
What did you experience no one else has experienced?
@@WozWozWozniacki you see, we used to sing this song from our windows and balconies during the 2020 lockdown, a moment of loneliness and pain for many of us. So, listening to this song 2 years later, was like a massive cathartic moment for many of us and the memory of the pain turned into a collective joy
Diodato is probably the only artist in the history of Eurovision that despite not competing in the contest will always be remembered. It wasn't easy to do better than the performance at Arena di Verona and yet he did it. ❤
100% agree ❤️👏 This song Is more than this performance. This song Is the real Eurovision. ❤️
I guess you're too young to remember the Riverdance from the 1994 broadcast. Most memorable performance in Eurovision in the nineties.

What about Dadi Freyr? They technically never competed in the contest
@@samheath886 well he's the only person in Eurovision history to not compete live and reach the top 5 so that has to count for something
Absolutely blown away by this. Had never heard it before. THIS would have won in 2020. And would win this year if allowed to vote for it. Incredible.
This would get jury amd uno would get audience
I don't know if you understood the meaning of the song. But the staging was simply perfect.
Amazing song and performance!! One of the best Eurovision songs i’ve ever heard! ❤️ Grazie Italy ❤️

Exactly! He would easily win on Saturday,AMAZING song and performance!!💚
the Italian language has something that makes every word pronounced beautiful
E fa rumore siiiii
💓
He Is Simply infinite..Is he,nothing else!!!
It's not just the language it's also the text and how we interpret It 😍
😁😁😁 È molto fluente e morbida..."suona" bene 🔝😎
When the interval act is the best song... it says a lot... Italy is always of high level
Everyone singing the song even tho he never got the chance to perform this at the contest just gives you chills.
Yes, because he won SanRemo' s Festival in 2020. And in Italy Sanremo is more important than esc.
The song is definitively famous in Italy, and in Turin a good percentage of the audience in the arena was probably made of locals who knows the lyrics.
I mean... he won Sanremo. For us italians Eurovision is not as important as Sanremo😂🤭
It was a destiny that this song gets sung by audience
Italy could just win every year, seriously. They always send the most superb entry to Eurovision. This performance gave me chills all over. Hats off to Diodato for his flawless delivery. Fai Rumore is not just a song, it is an experience. A magnificent experience!
Grazie. Belle parole.

Diodayo unico,,grazie
Italy basically invented Eurovision, San Remo was inspiration.
Their only issue is the production is not great, best for them to finish 2nd
I went to bed, turned on the TV to see the results of the first half final and this blew me away. Just stopped talking to my girlfriend mid-conversation. Speechless. Possibly the best performance I've ever seen on any Eurovision.
I understand, and tell your gf to forgive you, I bet she will understand, since I saw this video I can't imagine any other song I would play on my stereo

They really should've saved this performance for the grand final. This is stunning, words can't even describe how beautiful this is
The final was to be kept for Måneskin, there couldn't be the two of them during the same night.

@@nathaliastrawberry8628 on second semi
@@janeyre82 They've found time during the grand final interval for a Mika medley that nobody asked for, so I'm sure they could have squeezed this in instead
The first minute is really telling. Diodato singing the first verse almost acapella. Then singing the chorus in half-voice, and the entire audience filling in for him perfectly. It's telling how popular this song has become, and how it would've won Eurovision 2020.
Half voice and an octave lower, right?
I cried through the entire performance
WE FINALLY DID IT
And he got away with the FULL version of the song, too!
I was in the audience here and everyone was totally blown away. People in tears, everyone singing alone. Not a single person wasn't touched by his performance. Wish they gave him the respect of a Grand Ginal interval act spot, but in saying that, he would have put a lot of the GF participants to shame haha.
For italians this is a cathartic moment this song reminds is the first lock down and sing this in a stadium full of people is lika a closure of a bad bad period
this is why they didn’t put him in the final, he would have stolen a lot of show but in the end we had Mika who did even better

Grazie!🥰😚
Thanks 🇮🇹
Thanks but our best singers don't go to Sanremo and so they can't compete at Eurovision. We have much more...😉
Dunno man, Italian here and Mahmood/Blanco were EXTREMELY mediocre.
There is only ONE thing to criticize: They should have make him perform on the final 😭. He is so damn good.
THIS ! 🥺
San Remo performance with the orchestra also worth seeing.
Went to his concerts, he is even more incredible live
The most beautiful moment of the entire night and most likely the entirety of Eurovision
The contrast between the 2020 performance in the empty Arena di Verona and this one, where you can hear the public all along, is so impressive!
And the hug with the dancers when he was spinning around alone in 2020
the more reason i respected the Netherlands so much how they pulled this off. i mean the power of water that was just legendary...
I was in the arena and was actually moved to tears at this performance. It was just beautiful. His voice, the music, the dancing, the audience singing along... as well as the reminder of what was happening in the world when this was supposed to have been performed. A moment I'll never forget.

Thank you ❤
Believe me... Quality has always been there, in Italy. Great performers and composers in the 70s, 80s, 90s ... until now
Yet we never win ☹️
francesco gabbani started the quality streak
You must know that you haven't seen the best italian singers: Bocelli, Giorgia, Elisa, Zucchero, Ligabue, Ramazzotti, Pausini, Antoniacci, Negramaro, Moda, Gianna Nannini, Emma, Alessandra Amoruso, Tiziano Ferro... Only to mention someone.
That's actually ridiculos that the best performance, the best song on the stage of ESC2022 was not contesting. Such an incredible song and the singer as well. Just a mindblowing
Italy smashed the interval acts this year, so glad he finally had his moment on the Eurovision stage ❤
This was just so much better then all the other acts this evening. It just blew everything away!
😊👌🥰

Absolutely. CHILLS! ❤️🇮🇹😍
I cried the whole performance. Because it was well-deserved! Diodato, we made it!
Yes of course is very good, special if you're not limited with 6 people on stage 3 min. of song and use of real sounds of the piano, back vocal an much more... It is very good.
You couldn’t even hear Diodato sing the first chorus because the audience sang with him, louder.
GOOSEBUMPS. Viva l’Italia e viva la musica. 🇮🇹❤️

We Italians see a powerful meaning in this song. The silence of the Italian streets when there was Covid two years ago and we were in full lockdown. A beautiful poem and dedication for all the victims who did not make it. I love you Italy, proud to be your citizen. 🇮🇹 💚🤍❤️ 🇮🇹
I'm learning Italian and understood only about 80% of the lyrics on my first listen, but that's what it reminded me of... The silence during lockdown and the distance between people. I was moved to tears when they all stood so close together in the end, to me it symbolized that we can finally be close to each other again and no longer have to live in forced isolation ❤
Stesse sensazioni 🇮🇹
Well put, a very emotional performance. Not one song in this years contest will top this performance!
i don't even know single word in italian and i'm crying hard listening to this all in goosebumps.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it but I think that the dancers touching, leaning into each other and hugging is a metaphor. I mean, there's a reason why Italians were singing this song from their balconies during quarantine... it's about overcoming silence and distance, and it first became popular in a moment when we were all alone in our homes, the streets were deserted, and the death toll was getting higher and higher every day. And still, in order to protect ourselves, we had to stop doing one of the very things that make us human: comfort each other through physical touch. We needed the hope that this song talks about. And now, now that things are getting better, going back to hugging the people you love feels like a blessing. So maybe that's what they're trying to represent here.
I was in the arena and sing together with Diodato and cried at the same time. This song means a lot to us Italians. It is something more than a victory song at Sanremo. It reminds us of a difficult period that we fortunately left behind and returned to normal lives.
Today, we are very happy that Europe is in our house.
I am very proud tonight of Diodato, of my Italians. I love you my lovely Italy 💙🇮🇹 🇮🇹 💚🤍❤️ 🇮🇹
