My dad just passed away today and this is the number one song he asked to be played at his funeral again and again. It's the perfect song. Bittersweet poetry.
It makes me wonder who or what would be in the credits when the world ends. Which reminds of something I said many years ago. Maybe the universe is filled with many gods. And they got together and decided they could each create one planet. Sort of a contest to see which one could come up with the best planet. Then, by process of elimination, the 'best' planet remains alone in the entire universe. Right now, our god seems to be getting his ass kicked. So he'd better come up with a plan to fix things, if it is doable. I think his first step for getting things on track is to figure out a way to make humankind completely oblivious to the thought that a god could actually exist, that we're all just people who happened to evolve here. It does not matter the what/where/how and why we exist, the mere fact that we are here, having evolved and continuing to evolve, should be enough. Once the people of the world come to the realization that we all come from the same god, which is no god, the world will be a much better place. It is a Wonderful World. Live for the world because that is all we have. We don't have 27 different gods promising 27 different things. Unless there are 27 gods in the entire universe. Then the other 26 laugh at our guy when they roll the credits. However, I don't think he's out of it quite yet. But there is a lot of work to do to get back in the running. I'm rooting the guy.
I always shed a tear at the lyrics "I hear babies cry, I watch them grow, They'll know much more than I'll never know, And I think to myself what a wonderful world." It really makes you think about life and its never ending cycle. Just beautiful.
Well all good things must come to an end. One day this world will stop spinning, humanity will be blown out like a small candle. But let's make what we can with our limited time together

destroy his area, no longer in sink with nature, seems so weird when I look around and see what the ones before us left behind, and see how they think have out witted all? the planning can be seen , they creep out to edge of lot, even if it was left for environment, what we are talking about is big money, if the sky is the limit u need to have them build out, destroy that space, wink wink, by pretending to beautify it? and when mother nature acts up, where do u put all that snow? so can u blame them if they are guided by who? that is the question, sorry I said anything just a wrong view I guess? that is progress right?
The perfection of this song is the combination of great lyrics, a lilting tune, and the raspy voice of Louis Armstrong backed by a contrasting lush orchestra.
My mother used to love this song a lot. Whenever I was with her and she was listening to it, she'd sing it to me. It brings tears to my eyes because I lost her to covid in Nov last year and all the memories I have with her are forever in my heart. I miss you mom 😞💔

Out of all the tracks that have been released, this one commands the most respect of all. I've heard it lots in my lifetime, the first time was on a car radio at three years of age in 1967 or so, and the latest, this airing on RUclips
My grandfather died just over 2 years ago and Louis was one of his favorite musicians. I’m posting this on his birthday, which is one of two days when I listen to this song, as well as the day of his passing.
this song was played at our mother's funeral/memorial, i haven't stopped crying. i miss her so much. she selected this song, not because it was fitting for her departure, but because she wanted our family to have a positive outlook on our life. even if we are without her, she might still be with us in spirit. this song has so many meanings and is true art. There are so many ways this song could be interpreted, and it makes me happy that this song was selected. and no, i'm not perfect when it comes to any sort of acceptance and this advice might be complete and utter rubbish to some, but to others this could unlock so many emotions that could have been locked away, acceptance is realizing that nothing is truly perfect. throughout life you must accept that there will be hardships, nothing is bound to come easy, and that you must accept yourself and the others around you before seeing true beauty. now, sometimes accepting certain things will be much harder than others, but acceptance is basically saying to yourself "man, things could be better, but they could be so much worse." and seeing the raw truth about beauty, it's not always the prettiest, but it's important to think positively on.
Your mother was absolutely right, this song is a reflection of the fact that life should be cherished. I'm sorry that you lost your mother, but you can be sure she is now safe in the memory of god. But do you know that god gives you the possibility that you can see your mother again here on earth. Jesus the son of god said in John 5:28 ...you shouldn't be surprised, because the time will come when all, who are in the graves will hear gods voice and will come out. The bible speaks from resurrections that will take place in future here on earth, for example Revelations 21:3-5 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also he says: “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” If you are interested I can recommend you an really hopegiving article with the theme "good news from god" and I wish you all the best for your future Michel www.jw.org/en/library/books/good-news-from-god/what-hope-for-the-dead/
Words SO well spoken. My wife passed away last year and was adamant that we play this song At her memorial....which we did. God bless, and hang in there.
I was 24 years old when I heard this magnificent musical composition, I was driving and I had to stop the car because the music and the lyrics brought tears to my eyes...I didn't know why but every time I heard it the same thing happened...today I have 75 years old and I keep it among my most precious musical themes and when I hear it, I have to stop what I am doing, sit down and allow the tears to flow, knowing now that it is the only human way to thank God for what we have seen, felt and lived in the journal of our life. Thanks Bob Thiele and George David Weiss for this beautiful written description and thanks to Louis Armstrong for the simple and masterful interpretation and I say: What A Wonderful World!!!
i’ve been listening this music since i was very young, and i never understood the lyrics because i don’t speak english back then. but now i do speak english, and when i read the lyrics i had a little tear on my face, it is so beautiful.

despite all the difficulties he has been through, he can still look at the world with this eye. this is really amazing and wonderful .we should all take him as an example.
I think all the hardships are the very reason he saw such beauty in the world. It’s easy to focus on the negativity surrounding us - it’s literally unending. Humans are far from perfect, after all. But if you look even a little, then you will surely find that beauty is just as common. I agree, we should all aspire to have such a positive outlook. Yes, we need to acknowledge our problems. But if we all focused on all the happy and beautiful things in the world, I think we’d all be so much better off :)

My dad just passed away today and this is the number one song he asked to be played at his funeral again and again. It's the perfect song. Bittersweet poetry.
Your father had good taste in music, I hope he rests well.
And I'm sorry for your loss...
Bless you Zenith how are you doing❤
Our dear dad passed away last week and we are having this played at his funeral.
Sending condolences to you.

Rip your dad didn't pass away he is in your heart and in another wonderful world
This deserves to be the song that plays in the credits when the world ends
I'm rooting the guy.

this song was played at our mother's funeral/memorial, i haven't stopped crying. i miss her so much.
she selected this song, not because it was fitting for her departure, but because she wanted our family to have a positive outlook on our life. even if we are without her, she might still be with us in spirit. this song has so many meanings and is true art.
Aw man I feel so sad for you I hope you feel better I know its hard going through losing loved one ❤❤❤💗💗💗💗💗🤗🤗

Thanks Bob Thiele and George David Weiss for this beautiful written description and thanks to Louis Armstrong for the simple and masterful interpretation and I say: What A Wonderful World!!!

despite all the difficulties he has been through, he can still look at the world with this eye. this is really amazing and wonderful .we should all take him as an example.
