This is literally the best movie India has ever produced. Me along with all my friends are saying it who watches both Hollywood and Indian films.

No 25 year old actor can compete against Amitabh Bacchan if both were to be seen in one shot. Meanwhile, Prabhas has a gigantic screen presence and star power who can attract crowds to the halls. These are some nuances outsiders of cinema won’t understand.

I am from Kerala and Kalki is truly the greatest film from Bharath yet. It brought tears to my eyes watching the Mahabharatha scenes. EPIC!!
Firstly, it's BHARAT. Secondly, this film is a cheap hollywood copy distorting Hinduism
The karna scene in Kalki is misrepresentation of actual mahabaratha and that is problematic. The screenplay was the weakest part of the film, that's why the movie was lagging so much, it's as if a 12 year old has written the dialogues. Amithab was the only character who wasn't cringy. Even if the cameo actors were removed from the movie it would bring no change to the story. Bahubali is one of my favorite films bcuz it shows the beauty of our ancient Indian culture and architecture, what does this movie show? It shows the same kind of futuristic constructions and fight scenes with robotic machines that we've seen from many hollywood movies. There's no emotion in fight scenes so you won't be able to root for these characters. Nag Ashwin should learn from Rajamouli.
I'm from Uttar Pradesh , I think Indian movies from south are the real representative of Indian cinema .

It's not a bollywood film It's a complete telugu film with the most of the cast and crew are telugu, It's completely shot in telugu in the huge sets erected in and around Hyderabad and it's production house is Vyjayanti Movies which is biggest production house in TFI and it's complete theatrical and OTT/satellite business is done using the face of Prabhas.

Exactly, it's a story from Ashwatama's PoV. But people are crying that they hav le changed Mahabharata and will protest against it, or give bad review because the movie is of Prabhas. Making such a fantasy movie on these details takes lot of effort, rather just just concentrate on digging own grave.
As a malayalee, I would call KALKI 2898 AD a Telugu indian film, not just an Indian film because they truly deserve that representation.

Bollywood movies were ebetter than other regional movies at one point only becos they had better finance & best talent pool from across india working as it had larger audiences than any regional languages as hindi was understood / studied across india or by larger population. Now regional Movies are also claiming their glory as they have gone pan - india & also exploits best talents across india , for eg Amitabh bacchan in this movie.

Karan was of course a better fighter than Arjun. He was gifted with more powers, kawach kundals etc... Without Shree Krishna it would have been very difficult for Arjun to defeat Karan.
Hanuman ji and Shree Krishna was on Arjun's side. Moreover, not to forget, Karan was the eldest brother of all Pandavas and was trained well by Guru Dronacharya....

I think Indian mythology if portrayed correctly with a modern depiction using super visual effects with good actors, we can leave Avengers, GOT and all the Hollywood blockbuster series and movies behind in terms of box office collection and exert our soft power through our rich, diverse and enigmatic cultural stories. Kalidasa's plays can be made into musicals (which has already done in Marathi Natya sangeet), each character in Mahabharata and Ramayana has the potential to form their own series on OTT, the legends of our kings (Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Maharana Pratap, Rani Laxmibai of Zhansi, Krishnadevaraya, Vijaynagara kings, and many more can also be turned into eye catching stories which would be celebrated across the country and get the youth interested in our history more profoundly.
It is already in the 3rd position of "Highest Opening Day Grossers In Indian Cinema" by Imdb. This movie is surely going to be one of the biggest Indian sci-fi movies till now.
