Leo's Dexter is the biggest achievement of this adaptation, no doubt. He made him so nuanced, vulnerable and gentle. Astonishing acting. He deserves all the awards for One Day.❤
I completely agree, 100%. I finished watching this, even these snippets, with a tear-stained face, and thought "give this man an Emmy".
I agree.
Agree. They both mastered these rolls. Love this. Now it’s a favorite. The emotion and hurt he felt when sobbing on his bed, just drew you right in and you felt it too. Bravo on acting performance. ❤
He's a Virgo, he is very intuitive ❤
@@jenniferwightwick5158you mean “give this guy an Emma” 😂🚴🏽♀️😭
The way his whole face transforms when he smiles blows my mind EVERYTIME.Hes already handsome but the moment he smiles he becomes GORGEOUS,so pretty. His eyes seems to twinkle
I agreee!!! It feels like his smile could solve world problems😢 3:31
I hope Leo doesn’t walk away from all of this unsung… phenomenal acting and an absolutely wonderful portrayal of a character adaptation from a book… as a guy myself, I cared about his character on screen, I felt his conflict and despair because he did emotion and vulnerability so well while keeping the masculinity side of it intact which I feel is important without overdoing it… he nailed his character… cheers!
He's booked and busy - the lead in another show. He's going to do fantastic things. Ambika too!!
As an Indian I watched it for Ambika Mod but as a viewer I fell in love with Leo. I don't know what it is but guys with pretty faces don't act well. However when I saw Leo's performance, I was drawn to him. His acting was so nuanced and as his character grew he became more and more method. The episode 12 scene where he met Emma's boyfriend and faked a throat infection to mask his sadness, that performance was top notch.
I completely agree, he was amazing at that scene, I felt every emotion
I too started watching it for the same reason but Leo came out as a surprising star.. he is really indeed a beautiful actor.. wow 🤩 after watching the series I watched many times now to look more closely in each episodes for Leo and he did such a great work.. seriously how bad his character it portrayed like careless or reckless but he portrayed it very human and you really can’t hate him and just forgive him quickly ❤️ my favourite actor now 😊
"guys with pretty faces don't act well" what an irresponsible and false statement
And also what about that phone call from the train station. Oh my god!!! The shaking in his voice, the subtle grunt, the undertones of just about holding it all together 😢❤
@@167kinggam”irresponsible” ??? Looool don’t be so dramatic
The scene at the pay phone…..such amazing acting!!
one of the greatest tv shows of all time, exceptional acting, presentation, direction, truly puts Hollywood to shame
The greatest actors have always been British except a few
Ditto ❤
Agree British actors are top notch in writers doing great jobs!
Everyone, don't sleep on Ambika Mod! She was amazing as well and enhanced Leo Woodall's performance. He would not be Dexter if she were not the perfect Emma.
I agree. They complimented each other so well.
Agreed!
Definitely!!!! Agree 100%!
So true !
@@livlt3711 real
Cant believe Netflix described this as a 'romcom' I've been in my feels all weekend😢
11:52 Jazz smiling sadly and slightly leaning into her dad for comfort when Dex points out where he/Emma met; great nuanced performance from both actors. For me, Dexter being able to break out of his thoughts when Jazz tells him she's cold and he immediately jumps into dad mode by prioritising her comfort before his, is a positive sign that his heart is beginning to heal. I'm sure he would have stayed there all day otherwise ❤💔
oh god rip my heart out why don't you 😭 he would've stayed there all day 😭😭
Leo made me actually like Dexter. In the book he's just an asshole and I couldn't for the life of me understand why Emma would even want to be near him. But Leo managed to make this very flawed character feel sympathetic and vulnerable. He does an amazing job at portraying true and raw emotion. Ambika is a wonder but Leo was the reason I liked the show much better than the book. Bravo 👏🏼👏🏼
So true!! If Emma were my friend, I would tell her to stay away from book Dexter, that man was a walking red flag. 😂
hey i would like to know how many books ONE DAY have please ?@@RealTalkWithSSG
I’ve never read the book, but it’s second time someone mentions Dexter being an unpleasant character in it, which has really surprised me. He has many flaws in both movie and the series, but nonetheless very charming and vulnerable portrayal from both actors ❤️
@@_monamono_2382 I mean, so many people love the book so I would encourage you to read it as well. But I kinda wish I'd read it before, maybe I'd have enjoyed it more. But the series is just so so much better.
Leo has become my favourite actor to watch out for.. he is a brilliant actor.. his whole body language and his face expressions were so beautifully done and in it ❤❤❤ hope he gets the award for this one for sure ❤
Everything about the series is just agghhhh - the music, the actors, setting, EVERYTHING! Just amazing. I love it. And Leo and Ambika - what a great job.
Dexter's arc was so nuanced and real. Watching all the edited mash-ups to stitch up my broken heart. 💔 Thank you Leo Woodall + the One Day team.
I loved this series, but what made it truly special was Leo's acting. I felt every emotion he was experiencing, what an amazing actor! I hope to see him in more films and series soon!!
The maze moment broke my heart into little peaces 💔
Yes at the end of the maize scene they embrace kiss and realise they are totally in love but cannot be together as lovers but only as “best friends “ . It made me sad
Morning coffee and a slice of heartbreak....goes well in the morning. Thanks Netflix!!! 🙄😮💨😪🤤
Leo is a wonderful actor and his chemistry with Ambika Mod is so so so intense. They both made me feel every inch of every emotion. I finished watching the séries a week ago and I still couldn’t get over it. 😅
Cried. Wept actually. Tears just seeping out of my eyes and heart. So so good and quietly relatable.
Haven't gotten over this series. Love love Dex and Em!!!
4:45 love her expressions during that!
I just finished this show 20 minutes ago, and I went in knowing nothing about it just another show to binge and let me tell you this sort of show should not be allow to be on Netflix. I literally got stab in my heart, this show hurt me so much h that is not even fun. hands down to the acting.
Finished it a couple of hours ago.
I was ugly crying alone in my flat. This ache I feel- the actors and script were amazing.
This hurt. 🥹💔
I have never seen a lead male character cry so much
Leo Woodall really showed off his acting chops for this role! I was not sure how I would feel about him being cast because I've only seen him portray Adrian Ivashkov on VA, and I wasn't impressed. Boy, was I wrong! No other actor could pull off what he did! He made me believe and feel his neverending pain! What an actor! Bravo! 👏
Dexter is not just a pretty face he is a fine actor !
They both deserve an outstanding award for their amazing acting & performance! Well done to them both!!! ❤❤
the acting in this show was surprisingly crazy good considering how little netflix is doing advertising for the show
I am obsessed with this show. Brilliant in every aspect ❤❤❤
He reminds me of Chord Overstreet. I've never been tempted to watch the movie but thanks two these clips of these two portrayals of the characters, I actually want to watch.
“I like to think of myself as delightfully complex.” - Nikolai Lantsov
Leo has that boyish charm which was perfect for this role
Leo’s look and smile are magnetic. I haven’t watched the film, but i can’t imagine another actor playing Dexter. I love Jim Sturgess but he seems totally out of place for this part now 😅
Well done in playing the character dexter 😍😍😍💯💯
Ambika Mod and Leo Woodall have truly thr most incredible chemistrt
I love Dexter's character 😭
When Dexter said he got a throat infection my throat started aching. Whenever you cried you broke my heart ❤
Very Cool
the scene where she gets hit omggg. it wasnt that she wasnt paying attention to the road. she was!!! and some stupid driver still hit her
He was wonderful
I am still recovering....from the ending....
WOW! I don't subscribe to Netflix. This was a great synopsis of the show. It really took hold of me.
❤
She use helmet why still die
"i've come as fucked up, suicidal divorceé."
"well, at least you're not bitter!"
such an underrated line lol
Thumbs up if you think this video deserves to be shared worldwide!
Dexter Morgan?
