The way she describes the dynamic between Lucienne and Dream is great. She’s loyal but also knows he will get himself in trouble left to his own devices, and she’s confident standing up to him when she knows he’s gonna do something stupid.
She’s always giving him great advice that he hardly ever takes haha! I like their dynamic a lot. There’s definitely a hierarchy there but there nobody he trusts more. And she’s not afraid of him. You get the sense these two have been through a lot together
These are some of the best interviews ever. Questions and discussions just deep enough, intriguing and entertaining. Ok I'm definitely watching this series.
Truly, I've watched a lot of interviews at this point, and these folks have to be so tired of saying the same stuff over and over - I feel like these questions pleasantly surprised them with intriguing things they hadn't pondered yet. Well played.
I'm in love with the whole cast, all of them did a great job and made the show so great to watch and rewatch. I'm not familiar with the comic but I loved the adaptation.
Fun fact: Tom Sturridge & Robert Pattinson have been best friends since they were children. They went to school together in London. Rob was at The Sandman premiere after-party recently
@@violamerjo8800 He could do yeah. I would want to see a really big, imposing guy play Destruction though. Maybe not Tom Hardy but someone along those lines. Then again, season 1 has reimagined some characters to great effect.
Exactly! ❤I love them both in their roles and I really appreciate them as people :) Loki series and Sandman are in my top ten favourite shows for sure. I can't wait for Loki second season and I still hope Sandman will get second season too!
That thing he is talking about, lucid dreaming, it happened to me few times, but I wasn't able to keep it up, I was waking up almost instantly, one time I'll never forget, I had recurring dreams about one person, it was a guy I liked in school, at some point having dreams about him started to annoy me honestly because it's been going on for over 10 years. One time when I realized I'm dreaming and I said to him "stop coming to me" and after that it's been over a year break when I had no dreams about him, then it started to happening again. He is only person that appeared in my dreams so many times, when something like this happens one can believe that we live another life in another dimension when we dream.
I only get lucid dreams when it's a nightmare and I realize that and want to wake up, could never do and say whatever I want when sleeping, your story is super interesting!
Wow I really loved this video and all the questions and answers!! Especially mason’s answers towards desire and relationship with dream .. made me understand the character more and view desire in a different way !!! And Boyd’s answer of a culinary approach to the Corinthian was so interesting too :000
I have a theory I would posit to Desire about what they know that Dream can't: Desire is very aware of the symbiosis necessary to exist. Desire accepts Despair as a necessary mirror to them and they are themselves multi gendered. I think the good intention behind Desire's pursuit of Dream is to show him that he needs the others. They can work together instead of in competition. They need each other.
Many thanks to those creators who turned this comic into a full-fledged movie show. Because I'm the kind of person who doesn't like such genres in movies. And only this film adaptation really impressed me. Impressed to such an extent that I began to have dreams with the continuation of this epic tale) It's wonderful. Mason Alexander Park, it seems to me, and the truth will still declare itself as far from a negative hero. After all, each of the gods represents a part of a human being, a part of his life. And only in unity, all gods, in the presence of people, can be and feel full-fledged and have the right to exist in principle.. He, Mason, had played his part beautifully. Bravo! Sincerely, from Russia.
Is it just me, or does Tom Sturridge have a small stuttering? He's such an intense actor, but as a stutter myself, I recognised how he seems to struggle saying certain letters and his somewhat awkward body language when expressing particular words.
wow.. this Death actress is Simone from The Good Place!? wowow... she's so beautiful here, she should keep this look. Was finding her not much on the beauty side in TGP not to be rude.
Someone please tell Neil Geiman it’s bad form to discuss the uncertainty in casting your lead, even it was the studio that was resistant. His answer should stop at “we knew it was Toms from the very first day” then wait for next question
I’ll never complain about Neil’s insistence to remain the ridiculously honest Neil that he is. Maybe you misunderstood his response because that wasn’t what he was implying. He literally stated that Tom was the one he chose from his first audition. It was just an elaborate of the audition process and how lucky they were to have someone so perfectly in character to work with.

I think Pattinson could also have made a great Sandman. Sturridge did nail it though.

Course they did. Sick of the British nepotisim
@@keykey7646 do you know what nepotism mean?
masons response on dream and desires realstionship is absolutely marvelous, truly they know there characters well
Tom is perfect casting for Dream as Tom H. was for Loki back then. It's really spot on.

I’m a natural lucid dreamer and until recently I always thought everyone was, too. You can teach yourself, apparently, but it’s not easy.
that's amazing, I've seldom managed to control my dreams. Though I had the trippiest dream when I drank Algonquin lucid dream tea.
I lucid dream every now and then, especially happen when I listen certain meditation songs

Great interviews Perri
Sandman’s gonna be lit AF🔥🔥🔥
Tom Sturridge is not only brilliant as Morpheus, he also is next-level as an erudite nerd!
Such cool questions and interviewer!
Boyd is just sooooo fine
I need Corinthian please🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻.
He's really good.
I looove this cast
My favourite 2 Deaths are Neil's & Terry Pratchett!!!💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
I did hope for the black eyes and long fingers but he was still a great casting choice regardless and really did a great job as the Dream.
An Otown reference??? From Death? Love it
Great questions!!!
best casting !
Now I want to see that Eastern European guy. They should hire him at least as an extra or for a minor appearance.
Yes same. I really hope they include him now because I want to see him.

The Corinthian looks a lot like Jordan Peterson. But nicer.
What a burn to JP 😂
young Alice Cooper wouldve been perfect as Morpheus

I don't think you understood what he said. And if you expect Neil Gaiman to be a conformist, you got it all wrong.
I’ll never complain about Neil’s insistence to remain the ridiculously honest Neil that he is.

Yeah, I thought it was incredibly rude for him to carry on like he was. Especially since Tom gave everything he had to the role.
Everything else he said was basically strengthening that point though: that Tom was the one.
Very convoluted plot
