Hey brother I was wondering your thoughts on how to reconcile the salvation of dahmer and the damnation of his victims because of homosexuality. That's if dahmer was saved.
I love this pastor. He seems to know his Bible well and shows some great wisdom in how he applies the scripture. like how he doesn't treat dahmer as a notch on his evangelistic belt but as a work of God above all.

About a week ago my wife asked, how could Dahmer be saved? It just seems not possible for someone like him. I said, if Jesus can't save Dahmer there's no hope for any of us.
Saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.
We are supposed to only if you do it without God its not really on his behalf and we have a tendency to judge unrighteously being unrighteous. This is why Christ taught us how to judge. Matthew 7.5, Leviticus 19.16 John 7.24, 1 corinthians 6.3. We shouldn't "play" when it comes to God
“Gods thoughts are higher than our thoughts” and “Lean not on your own understanding.” This means being open to the fact, our opinions of another could be wrong. Have you ever had your trust betrayed? We can believe a person, wholeheartedly, only to find out later they were lying to us. They betrayed our trust. We got it wrong. Never think highly of our opinions, or the opinions of others. “Lean not on your own understanding.” Meaning- Remain skeptical of your own opinions.
When I first heard Jeffrey Dahmer had accepted Christ and been baptized, I cried and praised God that he is so full of grace and power to redeem even the most wicked of men. I look forward to meeting my brother in eternity.

Second, let me preface my main point by reminding you that I’m a super good guy who hates bad things. I am many things, but a monster good sir…is not one of them!!! I will defend the flag of truth till my dead hands no longer posses the strength needed to fight this battle against the wiles of the devil. If just one person is kept from ensnaring themselves in the thicket of evil and unrighteousness, than this life will not have been sacrificed for nought. 3rd…What if the victims or their loved ones kinda deserved this for something they did that we don’t know about? Dude I love you. I worked in prison for eight years and know the grace of God and how he forgives the worst of sinners myself included. It's good to see an encouraging word.

I immediately thought back to when I was a teen/young adult and did things impulsively because I wanted the rush and the validation and such. now that I'm more adult I am sickened by my foolishness and sin. I definitely cried while watching the videos about Jeffery. God's power to make us new is astounding and humbling. conversion truly is a miracle and I thank Jesus for giving us this amazing covenant in His blood.

I have no problem with Jeffrey Dahmer being a Christian saved by Grace. This should bring joy to every Christian, if Dahmer can be saved, that shows the Grace & Mercy Our Father gives to us all. Praise the Lord!!!
Why would it bring me joy? i dont have to answer to GOD for Jeffrey's sins, or even YOUR sins! I have to answer for MY sins. I find it sad! what better advertisement for the world than: sin as much as you want for as long as you want! as long as you repent at the end, then all is kosher! Some of you are so HOLY you are NO earthly good! I am still a justice and righteousness kind of guy! Striving to live right for GOD should actually have some meaning!
I first read about dahmer when I was in 7th grade (I’m 28 now) and it of course disturbed me very very deeply and I remember tuning the whole school computer off because I was so scared of the Wikipedia page I had just read. Ever since then I have avoided reading or watching anything to do with dahmer but I decided to listen to this and I’m so glad I did. This pastor has great biblical knowledge and hearing him speak God’s Word into this situation has given my mind finally peace on this. Im so thankful I feel a weight lifted off of me I can’t explain it. This interview was not clickbait or sensationalized at all - it is just honest questions honest answers and seeing God’s amazing grace in the darkest of places and hearing inspiring testimony of men who do His work.
Yup. I was never disturbed by Dahmer. I only learned of him recently. By random people's mentioning serial killers. Ted Bundy I learned his name as child. But not Jeffery Dahmer. Either way I'm glad he's in heaven..amen I'm a horrible sinner too. I just want the same genuine repentance Jeffrey has.
I remember the day they caught him. I was working in Columbus Ohio and my gf’s father asked me, “did you hear what they found in Jeffery’s freezer?” No. “A Dahmernose pizza.”😝 He never scared me cuz we were gankstas in them days. We hung deep with some rough dudes and we all had each others backs.

I was patiently waiting for this interview. It really hit home for me. My brother was murdered a little over 25 years ago. It never ripped my family apart but I thank God for Jesus because when this happen I was saved and disciple of Jesus. God helped me walk through and gave to grace to forgive. This Pastor did a great job explaining his interaction with Jeffrey Dahmer. I am so thankful Jeffrey was introduced to Jesus and received forgives from the father!!! Powerful testimony.
@@skwills1629 A preacher (one who proclaims) preaches the Word of God; it's not a title or position. A Pastor is an overseer who teaches the Word of God. Anyone can preach or proclaim the message of the Gospel, but Pastors are in positions of authority He has a congregation, therefore, he is a Pastor.

This made me cry and ask some very deep questions. I bought the pastor's book and it's very emotional thinking about how lost in the beyond someone can be yet still this pastor was put in Dahmer's life as a testament to mercy and the challenging concept of forgiveness. This whole interview is beautiful and sensitively done for everyone affected by this tragic situation.

He is not a Pastor. He is a Church Of Christ Preacher. They are not the same Thing. The Churches of Christ do not have ordained Clergy and The preacher is not the leader of a Congregation. And the Down To Earth Nature of His Manner is Characteristic of The Churches Of Christ in General. The Church tends to be Very Fact Focused and Intellectual. Namely owing to its Theology.

@@TimothyC.84 - For One Thing, in The Churches Of Christ the Preacher can be Any Baptised Man. They are also not ordained in Any Way. For another, He does not lead the Congregation. A pastor is Generally understood as a Central Spiritual Authority. The Man Who Acts as Lord of The Manner or Governor or Mayor. He is in Charge in Some way. That simply does not Exist in The Churches Of Christ. The Elders generally Govern, and an Elder is All of The Baptised Men. The preacher doesn't even Always Administrate the meetings. I have Attended Churches where The preacher has less Influence than some other members. This "Pastor" would not Actually Govern The Church. He'd simply Work for the Church by Fulfilling a Specific Role and Carrying Out the Needed Functions.
Wow!! So incredible you were able to interview him. I cancelled Netflix a few years ago but got it again only to watch Dahmer. Some believers might find it strange...but I'm a huge true crime fanatic. I also have a psychology degree, so my interest in these things also tie into my faith when it comes to the Lord being fully just. I got assigned Jeffery Dahmer's case in one of my psychology classes years ago. It was all about the "why". My essay ended up being nearly 30 pages (from what I remember.) Although the show was disturbing & in so many scenes..I had to fast forward through them. The last episode hadn't left my mind. I was talking to everyone I knew about if his conversion was true. The fact is...we will not know until we make it to heaven. But the thought baffled me. It caused me to truly humble myself. "If you hate your brother, you've committed murder in your heart"...kept coming to mind. I battled all these questions since I watched that episode. There was something different about knowing what happened so well & seeing it play out on the screen that really slapped me in the face & made it more real for me. His crimes almost seem unbelievable. Thank you so much for this interview. I came out of it with a stronger sense of how God is in control & how I'm so unbelievably undeserving of His grace. I too am interested in true crime, from a psychological point of view, not just from the perpetrator/s of the crime, but the emotional and psychological and spiritual side from the victims ( if they have lived through whatever the crime maybe ) and their families and friends and also the perpetrators family and friends. It has fascinated me since I was a young child. however I don't watch crime programs with lots of gratuitous and gory re enactments. I follow cases, and when the story of Jeffry's case broke years ago, I was sickened by it. Soon after it was released I discovered the book, called "A Fathers Story" written by Jeffery's father. That book kept me following his story. How many parents of perpetrators take such a deep look inside themselves, to see where they have let their children down, to try face all the factors that may have, and that they personally, may have contributed to the outcome. I won't watch the Netflix account, I read a few peoples reviews and they found too much that was far too graphic, because of that, I believe Netflix is irresponsible and and is gratuitously sensationalising acts that don't need to be sensationalised in such a way. We can know about something that happened without having to be taken into the re-enacted moments in graphic detail of that kind of depravity. Not to be holier than thou, I just don't think it is really helpful in any circumstance and for any reason, other than to get viewers.
God has His people in all professions of life. Although a small percentage compared to that of the secular world, He has His people there despite that fact. Even in psychology 😊 praise the Lord 🙏🏾
I read his book about Jeff and felt deep regret that he only had the strength to follow Jesus after such a dark journey. I reflected on the beauty of God's mercy, even though it doesn't free us from the consequences of our mistakes.✝️

This was extremely powerful. A short time ago I did a video called "Did Jeffrey Dahmer Go to Heaven" which was in response to some critical comments I had received recently because of ex felons I feature on my podcast. Some people were admonishing "Jail house conversions" and I did the video to show that no one is irredeemable, no one is worthy - no not one... and YES if Jeffrey sincerely repented and accepted Jesus, he would go to heaven. The media and culture wants to focus on his crimes and the shocking nature of everything and sensationalize everything instead of the comparatively "boring" story of him being SAVED! @@petitluna2571 The line between heaven and hell is simply believing in Jesus Christ. If his victims did not believe that Jesus grants eternal life to those who believe in him, then they are in hell. Like Roy said, its uncomfortable to think about, but if Jesus cannot save Dahmer, then we are all doomed.

It is the most imaginary, fictitious and full of wishful thinking story. It is a fairytale. And one of bad taste at that. Regarding dahmer's forgiveness, this can only be given by his victims. As for how much he was trying to be normal and to do the best he could to fix things, i have no doubt and religion served as a gesture for his psychological needs and as a symbol to the outside world of gis internal struggle and sincere quest. But, ultimately, he was incapable of true change as if he were released or never caught, he would not have stopped and he did noy go to heaven cause there is no heaven. I cried watching this. This is one of the most important interviews I have seen and I wish everyone would see it and understand how valuable they are and that there’s a hope in this world we don’t have in anything else but God.

I cried when he drilled a hole in 14 year old boys head while he was alive and raped him repeatedly before eating him. I cried when god was nowhere to be found while this was happening. Well maybe he did its hard to tell because psychopaths can actually understand what remorse is and even empathy problem is they just don't care about it. Else they would be poor at manipulating others.
@@Herr.P Dahmer wasnt a psychopath though. He had many mental illnesses, but psychopathy wasnt one of them. Unlike someone like Gacy or Bundy, he didnt take pleasure in the killing part. He even drugged his victims so they wouldnt feel pain. Thats a major difference from sadistic psychopaths. As twisted and horrible the things he did were, his motives and "morals" (if we can call em that) were very different from most serial killers.

I'm no theologist or psychiatrist by any means but,I've always felt that serial killers and what society deems the worst of the worst were,if not possessed definitely driven by demonic forces and therefore in desperate need of deliverance. Just my opinion
Agreed. I’ve had deliverance from many demons. I’ve also witnessed many demons manifest in people. Tracy Edward’s testimony totally solidifies demon possession. In fact, Jeffrey’s 😢story is textbook demon possession. Including his inability to even find the why behind the tragedies he committed. Thank God we serve a God full of mercy and forgiveness. 🙌🏾💚
You are absolutely right. He needed a strong prayer to have that demon cast out... Just the way Jesus cast out demons in the past... I can't believe this pastor does not have spiritual discernment enough to see it... His heinous acts alone will tell you that he had legions of demons living in him.
Thank you for this interview. Reminded me of Jonah and the Ninevites. Jonah didn't want to preach to the Ninevites because he knew that God's forgiveness is so great.. and he didn't want the Ninevites to be forgiven. All of us need forgiveness and I'm glad that Jeffrey's conversion seems genuine!
I am a Christian and before i was born again , I harshly judged Jeffery Dahmer. I was obsessed with telling everyone how messed up I thought he was and how it couldn't be possible that he could change. But being born again I have different eyes now. If he changed and came to christ he absolutely is in heaven. And I have no problem with that. Grace IS enough even for someone like him.

As a Christian myself who knows we are saved by grace through faith and not by works, I was pondering that exact question John brought up about Jeffrey Dahmer being in heaven while some of his victims could possibly be in hell. The pastor’s answer was perfect, and made me wonder why I didn’t even see it that way to begin with. Belief on our Savior is the requirement, and it’s all a work of God, not our own. We should be praising God even more to know how much grace He gives us when we don’t deserve it, and He longs for a relationship with us. Hallelujah! ✝️💕🙌🏻

Fantastic work brother! I instantly saved this to favorites to share with others. I just so happened to watch My Friend Dahmer and the Tubi Original documentary on Jeff last night. I am sad to report that neither gave a glimpse into a spiritual conversion at all except to say that his grandmother was involved in him going to church prior to his primary killing spree. I could tell despite the former film being mainly about his tumultuous childhood, each missed the mark in many respects. Glad to see this add a much needed layer of depth to the man's life. This whole story was formative for me living as a legalistic young convert to the faith, that God could save such a one like this was a radical concept. We all make the mistake of comparing ourselves to others to feel good about our mess. The truth is, without God's grace to the believer and even the unbeliever we would all be infinitely more fallen than even Jeff. We all stand condemned before a Holy God who for whatever reason has saved us.

People like dahmer are the people that need more love , and more God. Only God can judge. If he truly repented then I’m happy to welcome him as a brother in Christ.
It's people like you that gave him the confidence to just get on with doing séances to summon devil when he was fifteen, then later he probably thought, well, if so called Christians weigh evil that lightly I might as well get on with this now....Just because you name a feeling or an experience "love" that doesn't mean that's what it is....And just because you name something Jesus that doesn't make it Him.
But feeling sorry is not how we earn forgiveness, we cannot earn it. Psychopaths cannot even feel remorse. Jesus saves us, we can't do penance by feeling sorry.

God is the last thing on the minds of people who are doing evil, but when they actually do repent of their sins and have actual remorse that leads to repentance, Jesus IS there to receive them. That’s the good news: He’s there to recieve all of us. But we don’t go to Christ to continue sinning but to leave the life of sin behind us and learning and growing in JESUS.

I'm NOT a religious person. But I feel extremely sorry for Jeffrey Dhamer. He was so lonely and his childhood was so sad. He must have felt so alone as a child and been so different, couldn't have been easy. 1what1 happened to his victims was terrible, but my heart goes out to Jeffrey. Watching g him on videos, you can feel the loneliness and emptiness.
I wonder if you’d felt so sorry for Jeffrey if one of the young men was your child. There’s plenty of lonely people out there that wouldn’t think it was a good idea to dismember someone’s body. He was mental. Don’t make excuses.

It amazes me to imagine when Jeff passed, Jesus may have said to him “welcome to paradise” what an amazing feeling Jeff may have had at that moment forever with his savior. I sincerely hope Jeff was saved. Thank you for this interview. It makes me believe more so that he lives today with God.
This, hands down, provides absolute hope to those suffering from the guilt of their sins from the past and for those who are diagnosed with borderline personality disorder (one of the same disorders that Jeffrey was diagnosed with). Jesus loves the serial killer and the one with mental illness. No soul, no matter how depraved, is beyond God's reach. Praise God.
Saul is a bad comparison because you judge the outward actions ie persecution of believers but God judges the heart. You see Yahusha said forgive them because they know NOT what they do. You think Saul knew he was persecuting his God's own children? In his HEART(mind) . When he considered he could be wrong as he saw his hands work and being exposed to messiahs teachings in part he turned to the Lord and desired him. Who are you Lord? This is humility required to hear from God. He did all of this willingly and sincerely a sign of true faith so when you look at it just a little deeper than surface level many things appear differently. After that a contrite heart and much fruit of the spirit and a willing forfeit of life. This was what God accepted with Saul evidently.

In a godless world, there is no standard of morality because there is no ultimate authority to dictate it. So are you saying that you , me, or other humans have randomly decided the rules of life ? What if you and I have things we don’t agree with? Do we both just live life to our own standards (since you say God doesn’t have anything to do with it), and hope our individual versions of right and wrong don’t cause conflict? This is one of the best interviews about God's Grace and salvation that I have had the privilege to watch. It raises issues that we would like left unsaid and to some degree reveals how we view sin. We Christians , myself included, fail to understand how far from God we really were before we gained salvation. For me it also highlights how much God has forgiven me and yet how unwilling I can be to forgive others.
I thought I was just going to watch more about dahmer. But it ended up solidifying the fact the lord has grace and love for us. Great interview, and appreciate the honesty from the preacher
I have always loved this story. My high school bible teacher told me about this (thx mr Aardsma). And this makes people angry. That our God could possibly accept someone as evil as Jeff. But we all, who really know our sin, are the worst of sinners. None of us deserves the love of God. Not one of us.
There's no salvation for unnatural sinners. When a person commits Biblically unnatural sins, it is a consequence of rejecting God for eternity. Then "believing" later is nothing but a facade. Dahmer is in 7th hell

@@zfg07 We all fall short in our sins. But God extends His love, mercy and grace upon those who ask. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we become God's child. We then receive salvation by repentance. The only time salvation is revoked or not possible is with the unforgivable sin. Jesus tells us in Mark 3:28-29- "Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:" "But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation." If Jeff accepted Jesus and repented then he was saved.
The Roman’s 13 & II Corinthians 5- bit was amazing, wow. I would’ve had those same exact thoughts. Even with the sins I’ve committed in my life that probably don’t compare, i still had condemning thoughts. God is good and His Word is true! Glory be to Jesus🙏🏾

Wow what an awesome interview!!! I’m so glad you interviewed this guy. When I watched one of Jeff’s last interviews where he talked about his new beliefs and conversion, God really used it to show me the power of the cross. I like many others know that anyone can be saved but when you look at someone who has done the crimes that Jeff has done, it’s hard to grasp that he could possibly be forgiven and spend eternity in Heaven but it’s such a beautiful story that people need to hear. I think when it comes to Christianity when most people realize that Dahmer believed and was saved I think it will either shatter your morality about Christianity or it will just make you believe in Christianity that much more. I’ve always known about Jeff’s story and had heard about his conversion thru the years but it wasn’t until I watched the series that I understood it & appreciated it completely. It led me to researching everything I could about Jeff & Roy’s relationship and the depth of his testimony. I was very pleased to see a clip of your interview on a Christian page so I had to come here to watch in full. Your questions were bold and unbiased and I am very grateful to learn everything I did while watching. I believe that millions of people were evangelized to thru the series. I can’t say that about any other Ryan Murphy show. Therefore I believe God spoke thru this one and I’m glad this story of grace is reaching countless souls. Your video will undoubtedly have the same effect. The Lord will often use people and situations you’d least expect in order to help prodigals find their way home. That was the case for me; I was really struggling in my life during the time I decided to watch the show and I can honestly say that I am walking much closer with Jesus now because of what I’ve learned about His work in Jeff’s life. WOW. Truly the most fascinating interview I have seen in a very long time. I grew up around Milwaukee and remember this vividly. I was not saved at the time, just looked at it from a place of "wow, that is really evil." My concept has changed as a born again Christian as I want to believe as I read the Bible that anyone can be saved by grace through faith, a gift from God. Well done!

Whether I would or would not, truth is still true and the truth is this: God loves and forgives if we would only repent and believe Jesus is Lord. So God absolutely wants anyone to forgive as He forgives us.

I know you were unhappy about the footage and camera angles Jon but the important part is that you got the audio intact from this interview. This could have been a podcast recording and I still would have listen to it. Thank you for interviewing Pastor Roy, the lesson that we are never too far to receive God’s grace is definitely one we need to hear over and over again.
he is not "Pastor Roy". I Know Evangelicals have a Tendency to refer to their Pastors by their First name, but its Jarring. Especially since he is not even a Pastor. The Churches of Christ do not have Pastors.
The reason there is lack of connection in this world is because people want to be entertained rather than listen and form connection with people, many want to be vulnerable with others but their vulnerability is seen as weakness or foolish, therefore they close themselves off and distrust forms in their life.
Fantastic interview! Great questions and this pastor seems very sincere in his responses and appears to understand grace and mercy on a level many fail to see. We’re all a bit skeptical about Dahmers conversion but this interview really helps with putting the decision on Gods goodness and not our presumption on how a good God should judge. Jeff heard about Jesus but people in his life didn’t care to hear Jeff, his family was broken, he needed people in his life. Sometimes we know how to point people to Jesus, but don’t know how to allow Jesus to flow through us.

What a fascinating interview! I’m studying to become a counselor and we used a few mental health assessments in our material, including Dahmer’s MMPI results. It was interesting to see it from a secular viewpoint, but to learn about him from a believer’s perspective is an entirely different thing. Praise God for His love and forgiveness, all hail our King Jesus!

What makes this interview so beautiful is that Dahmers pastor didn't look at Jeffrey as a monster like the world did, he looked at Him as a fallen man who desperately needed Jesus's love and forgiveness. At the end of the day people can scoff and get angry and call Dahmers repentance and faith in Jesus as unjust and a disenguine but people that say this miss the the heart of the Gospel. Christianity has never been about what we can do to get to God its what God did to get to us by sending His son to die in our place. Yes Dahmers crimes were absolutely horrific and he rightly deserved his sentance but I have to remember that even in my best behavior, at the end of the day I am really just like Dahmer was before a holy and righteous God and without Jesus I am just as deserving of wrath and hell but God who is rich in mercy has offered us and all that in our eyes the worst of the worst a way out if we would repent and believe in His son for salvation.
This is a really powerful interview that reveals the radical grace of God in Jesus Christ. I hope given the popularity of the Netflix programme that many unbelievers will discover this video and come to saving faith in Jesus. For what it's worth I actually really enjoyed the more 'raw footage' style which gave the film a more authentic feeling.

Hey brother I was wondering your thoughts on how to reconcile the salvation of dahmer and the damnation of his victims because of homosexuality. That's if dahmer was saved.
I love this pastor. He seems to know his Bible well and shows some great wisdom in how he applies the scripture. like how he doesn't treat dahmer as a notch on his evangelistic belt but as a work of God above all.

I first read about dahmer when I was in 7th grade (I’m 28 now) and it of course disturbed me very very deeply and I remember tuning the whole school computer off because I was so scared of the Wikipedia page I had just read. Ever since then I have avoided reading or watching anything to do with dahmer but I decided to listen to this and I’m so glad I did. This pastor has great biblical knowledge and hearing him speak God’s Word into this situation has given my mind finally peace on this. Im so thankful I feel a weight lifted off of me I can’t explain it. This interview was not clickbait or sensationalized at all - it is just honest questions honest answers and seeing God’s amazing grace in the darkest of places and hearing inspiring testimony of men who do His work.
Yup. I was never disturbed by Dahmer. I only learned of him recently. By random people's mentioning serial killers. Ted Bundy I learned his name as child. But not Jeffery Dahmer. Either way I'm glad he's in heaven..amen I'm a horrible sinner too. I just want the same genuine repentance Jeffrey has.
I remember the day they caught him. I was working in Columbus Ohio and my gf’s father asked me, “did you hear what they found in Jeffery’s freezer?” No. “A Dahmernose pizza.”😝

I was patiently waiting for this interview. It really hit home for me. My brother was murdered a little over 25 years ago. It never ripped my family apart but I thank God for Jesus because when this happen I was saved and disciple of Jesus. God helped me walk through and gave to grace to forgive. This Pastor did a great job explaining his interaction with Jeffrey Dahmer. I am so thankful Jeffrey was introduced to Jesus and received forgives from the father!!! Powerful testimony.

This made me cry and ask some very deep questions. I bought the pastor's book and it's very emotional thinking about how lost in the beyond someone can be yet still this pastor was put in Dahmer's life as a testament to mercy and the challenging concept of forgiveness. This whole interview is beautiful and sensitively done for everyone affected by this tragic situation.

He is not a Pastor. He is a Church Of Christ Preacher. They are not the same Thing. The Churches of Christ do not have ordained Clergy and The preacher is not the leader of a Congregation. And the Down To Earth Nature of His Manner is Characteristic of The Churches Of Christ in General. The Church tends to be Very Fact Focused and Intellectual. Namely owing to its Theology.

Wow!! So incredible you were able to interview him. I cancelled Netflix a few years ago but got it again only to watch Dahmer. Some believers might find it strange...but I'm a huge true crime fanatic. I also have a psychology degree, so my interest in these things also tie into my faith when it comes to the Lord being fully just. I got assigned Jeffery Dahmer's case in one of my psychology classes years ago. It was all about the "why". My essay ended up being nearly 30 pages (from what I remember.) Although the show was disturbing & in so many scenes..I had to fast forward through them. The last episode hadn't left my mind. I was talking to everyone I knew about if his conversion was true. The fact is...we will not know until we make it to heaven. But the thought baffled me. It caused me to truly humble myself. "If you hate your brother, you've committed murder in your heart"...kept coming to mind. I battled all these questions since I watched that episode. There was something different about knowing what happened so well & seeing it play out on the screen that really slapped me in the face & made it more real for me. His crimes almost seem unbelievable. Thank you so much for this interview. I came out of it with a stronger sense of how God is in control & how I'm so unbelievably undeserving of His grace. It made me even more grateful for it. God bless yall!

I too am interested in true crime, from a psychological point of view, not just from the perpetrator/s of the crime, but the emotional and psychological and spiritual side from the victims ( if they have lived through whatever the crime maybe ) and their families and friends and also the perpetrators family and friends. It has fascinated me since I was a young child. however I don't watch crime programs with lots of gratuitous and gory re enactments. I follow cases, and when the story of Jeffry's case broke years ago, I was sickened by it. Soon after it was released I discovered the book, called "A Fathers Story" written by Jeffery's father. That book kept me following his story. How many parents of perpetrators take such a deep look inside themselves, to see where they have let their children down, to try face all the factors that may have, and that they personally, may have contributed to the outcome. I won't watch the Netflix account, I read a few peoples reviews and they found too much that was far too graphic, because of that, I believe Netflix is irresponsible and and is gratuitously sensationalising acts that don't need to be sensationalised in such a way. We can know about something that happened without having to be taken into the re-enacted moments in graphic detail of that kind of depravity. Not to be holier than thou, I just don't think it is really helpful in any circumstance and for any reason, other than to get viewers.
God has His people in all professions of life. Although a small percentage compared to that of the secular world, He has His people there despite that fact. Even in psychology 😊 praise the Lord 🙏🏾

A short time ago I did a video called "Did Jeffrey Dahmer Go to Heaven" which was in response to some critical comments I had received recently because of ex felons I feature on my podcast. Some people were admonishing "Jail house conversions" and I did the video to show that no one is irredeemable, no one is worthy - no not one... and YES if Jeffrey sincerely repented and accepted Jesus, he would go to heaven. The media and culture wants to focus on his crimes and the shocking nature of everything and sensationalize everything instead of the comparatively "boring" story of him being SAVED! @@Herr.P Dahmer wasnt a psychopath though. He had many mental illnesses, but psychopathy wasnt one of them. Unlike someone like Gacy or Bundy, he didnt take pleasure in the killing part. He even drugged his victims so they wouldnt feel pain. Thats a major difference from sadistic psychopaths. As twisted and horrible the things he did were, his motives and "morals" (if we can call em that) were very different from most serial killers.

I am a Christian and before i was born again , I harshly judged Jeffery Dahmer. I was obsessed with telling everyone how messed up I thought he was and how it couldn't be possible that he could change. But being born again I have different eyes now. If he changed and came to christ he absolutely is in heaven. And I have no problem with that. Grace IS enough even for someone like him.

As a Christian myself who knows we are saved by grace through faith and not by works, I was pondering that exact question John brought up about Jeffrey Dahmer being in heaven while some of his victims could possibly be in hell. The pastor’s answer was perfect, and made me wonder why I didn’t even see it that way to begin with. Belief on our Savior is the requirement, and it’s all a work of God, not our own. We should be praising God even more to know how much grace He gives us when we don’t deserve it, and He longs for a relationship with us. Hallelujah! ✝️💕🙌🏻

Fantastic work brother! I instantly saved this to favorites to share with others. I just so happened to watch My Friend Dahmer and the Tubi Original documentary on Jeff last night. I am sad to report that neither gave a glimpse into a spiritual conversion at all except to say that his grandmother was involved in him going to church prior to his primary killing spree. I could tell despite the former film being mainly about his tumultuous childhood, each missed the mark in many respects. Glad to see this add a much needed layer of depth to the man's life. This whole story was formative for me living as a legalistic young convert to the faith, that God could save such a one like this was a radical concept. We all make the mistake of comparing ourselves to others to feel good about our mess. The truth is, without God's grace to the believer and even the unbeliever we would all be infinitely more fallen than even Jeff. We all stand condemned before a Holy God who for whatever reason has saved us.
God's reason for saving us is His immeasurable love.

I'm NOT a religious person. But I feel extremely sorry for Jeffrey Dhamer. He was so lonely and his childhood was so sad. He must have felt so alone as a child and been so different, couldn't have been easy. 1what1 happened to his victims was terrible, but my heart goes out to Jeffrey. Watching g him on videos, you can feel the loneliness and emptiness.

It amazes me to imagine when Jeff passed, Jesus may have said to him “welcome to paradise” what an amazing feeling Jeff may have had at that moment forever with his savior. I sincerely hope Jeff was saved. Thank you for this interview. It makes me believe more so that he lives today with God.
This, hands down, provides absolute hope to those suffering from the guilt of their sins from the past and for those who are diagnosed with borderline personality disorder (one of the same disorders that Jeffrey was diagnosed with). Jesus loves the serial killer and the one with mental illness. No soul, no matter how depraved, is beyond God's reach. Praise God.

Saul is a bad comparison because you judge the outward actions ie persecution of believers but God judges the heart. You see Yahusha said forgive them because they know NOT what they do. You think Saul knew he was persecuting his God's own children? In his HEART(mind) . When he considered he could be wrong as he saw his hands work and being exposed to messiahs teachings in part he turned to the Lord and desired him. Who are you Lord? This is humility required to hear from God. He did all of this willingly and sincerely a sign of true faith so when you look at it just a little deeper than surface level many things appear differently. After that a contrite heart and much fruit of the spirit and a willing forfeit of life. This was what God accepted with Saul evidently.

We Christians , myself included, fail to understand how far from God we really were before we gained salvation.

I have always loved this story. My high school bible teacher told me about this (thx mr Aardsma). And this makes people angry. That our God could possibly accept someone as evil as Jeff. But we all, who really know our sin, are the worst of sinners. None of us deserves the love of God. Not one of us.
There's no salvation for unnatural sinners. When a person commits Biblically unnatural sins, it is a consequence of rejecting God for eternity. Then "believing" later is nothing but a facade.

@Keshav KiV, with all due respect, I don’t think you understand God’s grace & the sufficiency of belief in who Jesus is, His death for our sins & His resurrection for our salvation.
@@zfg07 We all fall short in our sins. But God extends His love, mercy and grace upon those who ask. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we become God's child. We then receive salvation by repentance. The only time salvation is revoked or not possible is with the unforgivable sin.
Jesus tells us in Mark 3:28-29-
"Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:"
"But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation."
If Jeff accepted Jesus and repented then he was saved.

Thank you so much for this interview! I've been following this case for years (before the Netflix series) and when I read about his conversion I was so eager to know the whole story. This is very much appreciated! God is mighty to save even the worst of sinners.
Truly an amazing video. Truly an amazing interview. This pastor is definitely one of the greats. I think when it comes to Christianity when most people realize that Dahmer believed and was saved I think it will either shatter your morality about Christianity or it will just make you believe in Christianity that much more. Because believing in somebody like Jeffrey Dahmer. Being saved. And him being in heaven it really puts into perspective that God truly cares about everyone no matter how much they have sin
So believe in a lord who save bad people as long they accept him.

I’ve always known about Jeff’s story and had heard about his conversion thru the years but it wasn’t until I watched the series that I understood it & appreciated it completely. It led me to researching everything I could about Jeff & Roy’s relationship and the depth of his testimony. I was very pleased to see a clip of your interview on a Christian page so I had to come here to watch in full. Your questions were bold and unbiased and I am very grateful to learn everything I did while watching. I believe that millions of people were evangelized to thru the series. I can’t say that about any other Ryan Murphy show. Therefore I believe God spoke thru this one and I’m glad this story of grace is reaching countless souls. Your video will undoubtedly have the same effect.
The Lord will often use people and situations you’d least expect in order to help prodigals find their way home. That was the case for me; I was really struggling in my life during the time I decided to watch the show and I can honestly say that I am walking much closer with Jesus now because of what I’ve learned about His work in Jeff’s life.

WOW. Truly the most fascinating interview I have seen in a very long time. I grew up around Milwaukee and remember this vividly. I was not saved at the time, just looked at it from a place of "wow, that is really evil." My concept has changed as a born again Christian as I want to believe as I read the Bible that anyone can be saved by grace through faith, a gift from God. Well done!

@@lizzybeth428 I don’t know if anyone can answer that question. It is such a severe tragedy that hypotheticals fall short and when anyone is tested truth is revealed. I hope I would. Whether I would or would not, truth is still true and the truth is this: God loves and forgives if we would only repent and believe Jesus is Lord. So God absolutely wants anyone to forgive as He forgives us.

I know you were unhappy about the footage and camera angles Jon but the important part is that you got the audio intact from this interview. This could have been a podcast recording and I still would have listen to it. Thank you for interviewing Pastor Roy, the lesson that we are never too far to receive God’s grace is definitely one we need to hear over and over again.
he is not "Pastor Roy". I Know Evangelicals have a Tendency to refer to their Pastors by their First name, but its Jarring. Especially since he is not even a Pastor. The Churches of Christ do not have Pastors.
The reason there is lack of connection in this world is because people want to be entertained rather than listen and form connection with people, many want to be vulnerable with others but their vulnerability is seen as weakness or foolish, therefore they close themselves off and distrust forms in their life.

Fantastic interview! Great questions and this pastor seems very sincere in his responses and appears to understand grace and mercy on a level many fail to see. We’re all a bit skeptical about Dahmers conversion but this interview really helps with putting the decision on Gods goodness and not our presumption on how a good God should judge. Jeff heard about Jesus but people in his life didn’t care to hear Jeff, his family was broken, he needed people in his life. Sometimes we know how to point people to Jesus, but don’t know how to allow Jesus to flow through us.

What a fascinating interview! I’m studying to become a counselor and we used a few mental health assessments in our material, including Dahmer’s MMPI results. It was interesting to see it from a secular viewpoint, but to learn about him from a believer’s perspective is an entirely different thing. Praise God for His love and forgiveness, all hail our King Jesus!
The portion about the sister being deceived to go to his memorial was just wow ! Powerful ! That was the glory of the Holy Spirit that touched her heart. ❤️ Truly beautiful! What makes this interview so beautiful is that Dahmers pastor didn't look at Jeffrey as a monster like the world did, he looked at Him as a fallen man who desperately needed Jesus's love and forgiveness. At the end of the day people can scoff and get angry and call Dahmers repentance and faith in Jesus as unjust and a disenguine but people that say this miss the the heart of the Gospel. Christianity has never been about what we can do to get to God its what God did to get to us by sending His son to die in our place.
Yes Dahmers crimes were absolutely horrific and he rightly deserved his sentance but I have to remember that even in my best behavior, at the end of the day I am really just like Dahmer was before a holy and righteous God and without Jesus I am just as deserving of wrath and hell but God who is rich in mercy has offered us and all that in our eyes the worst of the worst a way out if we would repent and believe in His son for salvation.

This is a really powerful interview that reveals the radical grace of God in Jesus Christ. I hope given the popularity of the Netflix programme that many unbelievers will discover this video and come to saving faith in Jesus. For what it's worth I actually really enjoyed the more 'raw footage' style which gave the film a more authentic feeling.
