Don't have much experience with MREs. I was given some but I think they were not well-kept as they started to go bad before they should have. I got to taste test 2-3 things from about 12 MREs. Nothing was freeze-dried.
Both the 'cold weather' ones I have reviewed.. have a freeze dried main. And both where above average in taste. No.. check out the FRENCH one.. just did one for the first time. It is awesome. Thanks
No tobacco products are in US mres, they got rid of cigs in the 80s I think... Red packed gum is cinnamon, and the clear packed gum is mint. Has no caffeine in it either! It's however is supposed to help you poop, Mres back you up, And troops swear by the gum having some sort of laxative effect to them.

The gum has caffeine and nicotine? Zoom.
I have seen mostly JUST caffeine.. I have also seen 'dental' gum.. They DO look like nicotine gum, but I doubt it Thanks
