For any students out there, the Ipad 6th gen + 1st gen apple pencil got me through all of my university courses. If you're looking for something to use in conjunction with a laptop, go for the regular iPad. Go for the Ipad Pro 12.9"" if you're looking for a laptop replacement OR go for the Ipad Air instead of the smaller iPad Pro if you want the smaller screen size but want a laptop replacement still.
Really having a hard time deciding between an iPad Air (4) 64gb with the magic keyboard and pencil or the new Pro 11” and wait/save for the extras. Wait for it to ship and wait for the pencil and keyboard as I save for a few months to get those accessories. Or get the 64 air. My budget is tight, but I’ll get the education discount. The difference between the 256 air and 128 pro is like $50. But the 64 air would give me room for those necessary accessories and no waiting. I sold my MacBook Air laptop to make this happen. I have a desktop iMac I rarely use. Main use for iPad will be writing papers, web browsing, email, bit of zoom, media consumption and streaming, reading, editing photos, note taking and light drawing. Playing some games. It will be my first iPad in many years and I’m really excited. What would you do? Is 64gb enough? I really want to get the accessories and going with 64 will let me do that, but I’m just concerned about space. I mostly use my phone for photos and videos and such, I’m just gonna be using the iPad for what I mentioned above and importing some images to edit in Lightroom from an external usb-c SD card reader.
@@babyboy1971 Hmmm thats a tough call because my main use for the iPad was very similar to yours, except I didn't edit photos or download any games. I know games could eat up storage quickly. Something to consider, maybe sell your Imac if you have no use for it anymore and put that money towards a 128GB pro and then down the line if you need more storage maybe get 50gb of iCloud storage of $0.99 monthly.

Honestly I prefer Touch ID instead of the Face ID. And they way they implemented the Touch ID in this new iPad is just great. I bought this exact same one and can't wait for it to arrive! :D
I honestly loathe the touch ID but people do have opinions and since 2020 is uh..... bad, Touch ID is alot more useful but I never wear a mask because I don't get out of my house and if even if I did, there's almost no virus.

As someone who still uses an iPhone 6s and wanting to upgrade to the SE, I see no problems with the touch ID on this since I prefer it over face ID. AND we're still going to be stuck with masks on for a while so touch ID is definitely the way to go for now.

I agree that other Apple products aren't the best but the iPad is the king of all tablets, the pencil the keyboard and the price and ecosystem, support, etc... combined, its the best choice for a student or just a casual user, Impressed.
i bought the ipad air but i had to return it because the speaker quality, the speakers on the ipad pro are worth the extra cost for me. plus now i can use those funny face emojis when video chatting with my kids, they really luv it.

Ordered myself the new M1 iPad Pro as an upgrade over the 10.5” iPad Air 3 and can’t wait to get the massively upgraded hardware! The Air 4 looks excellent, but Thunderbolt, Face ID, 120Hz display, quad speaker setup, and so on make it in my eyes basically one of the most incredible pieces of consumer tech I have ever seen.
I left Apple many years ago, but I'm still interested in getting a tablet. The only thing keeping me from getting this one is the battery life. It needs to be better.

No latency even on the older devices that support pencil. It’s all about app optimisation. Procreate, Apple Notes, Good notes all have zero lag on even the oldest of devices.
The blue looks great in your video. I have the ipad in green and Rose Gold. Yeah i was dumb abd wasted my money on 2 lol. i was hypnotized by the color. I cant seem to find a case I like. I finally go the black folio and looks great next to the rose and green.

Over priced? Yes but functional. Therefore it’s better to gear the cheaper ones. I didn’t get a iPad just to have a good looking screen. It has to be fun to use.
The thing is; iPad Air 4th gen has either 64gb or 256gb versions so 64gb is too little and 256gb is too much for most ppl, lol. So the sweet spot is 128gb which only exists on the iPad Pro 11'. Then the only difference between the iPad Air 4th gen (256gb) and the iPad Pro 11' (128gb) is the 1 camera vs 3 of them and plus the face ID which I think are both huge advantages. The difference in price between the two models is 100€ so obviously most people end up going for the Pro, myself included. I do like the Air's colors though.

Android tablets often only ship with a single android version...and thats it no updates whatsoever....maybe a couple security patches at best....so yeah id pick apple tablets too...despite the price...
@@laddarr Even on full brightness 5 hours is still too short for screen on time for a tablet.. You should at least be getting from 7 to 8 hours at max brightness.
@@DylanM15 What tablet are you using that would die in 2 hours... I use a tab s7 at almost near max brightness with near heavy use and get at least 7 hours from it everytime.. Sorry 2 hours is far fetched especially for an ipad... Ive ever killed an ipad that fast despite really heavy use.

I think she said there’s only slightly more latency when using the apple pencil but if you don’t currently have an ipad pro to compare it to then i doubt you would notice it at all :)

Android tablets often only ship with a single android version...and thats it no updates whatsoever....maybe a couple security patches at best....so yeah id pick apple tablets too...despite the price...

@@laddarr Even on full brightness 5 hours is still too short for screen on time for a tablet.. You should at least be getting from 7 to 8 hours at max brightness.
@@jonb9374 that’s really good battery life for any tablet. That heavy of use would kill most tablets in maybe 2 and a half hours.
@@DylanM15 What tablet are you using that would die in 2 hours... I use a tab s7 at almost near max brightness with near heavy use and get at least 7 hours from it everytime.. Sorry 2 hours is far fetched especially for an ipad... Ive ever killed an ipad that fast despite really heavy use.
