I emerge alive
Regurgitated as a slave to the tests of time
I reject and do not rejoice my immortality
For there is nothing left of this place
Spawning unto desolation again
In shadows I slumber until I am but dust
Am I to live in nothingness?
In death I live to dwell the days away in fathomless dismay
Am I to roam forever gone?
To roam forever gone?
Festering memories of the past start to project
Then wither away inducing insanity on my behalf
We were led to believe the netherworld is of myth
But it dwells within and its nature so abstract, yet so very real
A most horrid fate
Ghastly rotting grave
Bloodshed and malice conjured the source of our decay
We wasted away
I am he who lives thrice begotten in bedlam against evanescent horizons
How melancholy
Time withers
The sun extinguished
And yet still, I remain
The age of man passes
My progress, struggles, and suffering a waste
Ben Duerr can go lower than my social skills.
Hervis Daubeny it doesn’t have to be like this
DAUBENY SHOW YOURSELF! (sorry I couldn't help myself)
That Guitar Guy No one can resist saying that
And higher than your parents' expectations
This society is garbage anyway
3:40 how tf can a scream be SO beautiful
No disrespect to Big hitters like Thy art, but This band are coming for the crown. Fantastic stuff.
Not even on the same level. TAIM new one is recycled repetitive riffs from older albums. Sorry. Not sorry. SOI all day.
@@chrisy4011 And their other stuff is recycled from other bands. Fuck that band.
Chris Y the one they put out today (new gods) is actually pretty good and doesn’t sound like puppet master or their old stuff. I agree with you but the on they just put out today is damn good. But yeah SOI should be the top of deathcore.
@@chrisy4011 Yup, TAIM has become stale after Hate.
Honestly I gotta say SOI should be top dogs for death core hands down
The melodic part at 3:35 to the end, is the most beautiful things I've ever seen in Deathcore so far.
What about the end of Mausoleum of Liars?
Hurp Durp or the prophets beckoning outro
Konto
You mean the solo bro
Yeah that whats called 😒
Agreed
You guys kick ass! SO STOKED for that album!
Uoow!!!
Dude I love your stuff. Had no clue you were in too shadow of intent 💪
Thank you! 🙏
A true musicians like Alexandr Misko loves real music
Hard to believe I'm seeing my favourite acoustic guitarist commenting on my favourite band. There is a connection between great musicians.
No one:
Shadow of intent: here's the definition of perfect deathcore
In this álbum they don't play deathcore anymore, this is death metal!
@@gu4r4po Know your genres, death metal is just one of their styles ;-)
Bestcore
This album has hardly any breakdowns. I wouldn't call this deathcore anymore. Which is a good thing...SOI is carving out their own style and it sounds amazing.
Remmy 315 Their breakdowns were killer, to be fair.
New IA song and Shadow of intent in the same week. Nice
Raphaël Juniet and Thy Art is Murder ❤️
Solway Firth by slipknot was a good single this week too. and Knocked Loose's single is heavy as hell
@Gerald Iwan bruh.
@Gerald Iwan Shut up.
and new Car Bomb lol
Bought the album and loved the album. 10/10 lads
Peter Gundry 😍😍 I love your work is all
elegy is gonna be even more sick
no surprise that you like shadow of intent lol!
LOVE YOUR WORK SO MUCH Peter Gundry!
Tons of people are shouting out Ben, which of course is well deserved, but I’d like to give a big shout out to all of the Instrumentals too. Insanely great in every way. One of my favorite songs, easily favorite of the genre. Really a perfect deathcore song.
That solo at 4:03 is amazing
Fun fact: I played Call of Duty MW2 with Ben when we were in High school
@Phukk Yoo someone's jelly.
@Phukk Yoo you even commented on my channel. Wow. Did I hurt your feelings, or is your existence just sad?
Thats awesome dude, ben is cool af
@@slightlythecunt653 it's pertinent to the point people! Where all metal heads here i hope that's pure conjecture but I'd assume 🤔 so, so lets love one another and enjoy our esoteric existence while the majority of the population throw shade and prejudice our way....
Also be cool to say like i played pacman at the mall with Kirk or James wouldn't it

2:00 has got to be the most adrenaline inducing scream I have ever heard
Second to this one 3:41
The very first time I heard this song, and got to 2:00, I audibly yelled "OH FUCK". That's how you know
was looking for this!!
U shohld listen to Be'lakor.
Shadow of Intent is one of the best things to happen to modern metal
Ben you definitely have a portal to another dimension on your throat
Genius
Truth
Dormamu incarnate
Its either the Doom hell Portal or the 40k hyperdrive hell
@@sempa2447 Or whatever deep, dark void they're singing about in the album.
Everyone talks about how beastly Ben's vocals are but that drummer is insane!!!
Early squad! Who’s hyped for the album???
i am so much ! that black metal vibes and vocals, this is absolutely the future of metal!
One like isn't enough. So stoked.
definately, hear the Band since "Primordial" and Ben Duerr is a god on growling and squealing
Ben is the best, he is more than a god!
Anyone know anything about a Hollow Prophet album?
I'm not a huge fan with clean vocals in deathcore, but the tiny bit in this song worked very well. It helped set the tone of their message. This song is more of a journey rather than a song with just builds and breakdowns. SOI keeps raising the bar 🤘
I cant stand bitchy cleans. These cleans are well done.
Well that's not even remotely deathcore
@@frankgallagur2045 That's Gojira-ish cleans to me where it's not even full cleans, i love it.
I also hate cleans, I can tolerate these but I would still prefer them to not be there.
NEIL SAEL That’s because Travis Ryan is a god
I missed Chris’s vocals. Glad they’re back
Chris?
@@thedonsz9186 Chris the guitarist - he did cleans on a few songs in the past, and also does the chorus of this song
@@thedonsz9186 the part starting at around 1:40 chris does some vocals. when playing live hes spot on as well
They never really went anywhere lol, I doubt he or the band want him singing in every song.
@@x0scimy0x Definitely. When they do appear in a song they're badass and help keep things fresh a bit. Like on Reclaimer in the song "The Prophets Beckoning" it made the song stand out from the rest, one of my favorites on the album.. If he did it on every song though? It just wouldn't be special anymore. It wouldn't be a breath of fresh air from the unrelenting, brutal, aural assault that is deathcore.. It would just be Shadow of Intents "thing" they did in every song. One of the things that got me really into this band when I heard reclaimer was all of the different ways they kind of broke the monotony. I love deathcore just as much as the next guy but when there isn't anything special throughout the songs in an album it loses my interest quick... Like I could never get into Thy Art is Murder because Reign of Darkness was awesome and Shadow of Eternal Sin was badass... And after that I couldn't listen to the same deathcore song 10 or however many other times to make a complete album. When familiarizing yourself with an album there has to be multiple songs with parts in them that stick out to you, make you think siiiiick. It's the one thing that deathcore bands are dreadful at in my opinion unless they have Jason Richardson on guitar creating memorable parts via guitar solos and riffs. You gotta want to go back and listen to "that one song with the dope melodic part" or "that song Dickie from Infant Annihilator did guest vocals on." Without those awesome parts that set songs apart it's too fucking mind numbingly boring listening to an album enough to get familiarized and learn all of the intricacies that make the band/album badass. Deathcore bands suck at this. Shadow of intent has been a breath of fresh air in that sense as well. Loving this band. Sorry for the rant.
I simply hold Shadow to a higher standard than almost any other band ever. And yet they STILL impress me and have killed it again. THANK YOU for creating new, talented, heavy and head banging music!
3:07 every other deathcore band would put a slow generic breakdown here. Thank you SOI 🙏
Spot on
SOI are more prog oriented, I feel. But it’s great seeing all metal influences
That shit hit hard !!!!!!
Breakdowns are definitely 2005 and if bands are still doing them then what they doin? lol
yall niggas are lame as fuck lmao
One of the greatest songs I’ve ever heard. God tier. Gives me literal chills. ❤️ everyone in Shadow Of Intent.
Album of the year for sure
Yeeees
No doubt about it. Album of the decade...
No, m.ruclips.net/video/XTjJMO4Fxb0/видео.html
Music doesn't get better than this
Am I the only one that listens to this at least 10 times a day?
I listen to this before going to bed
@@1_visje34 Im listening to it now!
here is a reminder to listen to it again
One of the best songs ever!
Everyone: Deathcore can’t be beautiful
Shadow of Intent: Hold my beer...
😁😁😁
Make them suffer is beautiful than that
@GabiesRabies I would say they still have a very heavy influence of deathcore. Especially their latest single can still be counted to that genre, I believe.
@@RibeiroGames12 such a strange band but i love them, one song they are deathcore, then djent, then metalcore and then some symphonic deathcore ( prob butchered that spelling but no fucks given). I really love them for their balls to the wall, all in kinda shit. Like the opening song to neverbloom.
Almost elegant
The drummer is insanely good, along with the other members.
Now this is Shadow of Intent. The more you listen to this song, the more details you notice and it becomes very emotional, this band is very unique and deserves the best
we need more deathcore like this. emotional and melodic while also still bone crushingly heavy.
My birthday was yesterday. I got an Infant Annihilator song and now this? Best Birthday ever
I get the entire IA album for my birthday. ;)
@@EvilSewnit cool
I get the new Slipknot Album for my birthday, how cool is that? 😍
Omg what song?? I didn't get a notification for IA
@@1jillasaur It's called Three Bastards
Shadow of intent is a fckn future for my kids. I love this fckn band.
Man, you can feel the emotion of the protagonist in this story. He took his own life, by not by his own will, and then he struggled and suffered through a place he wasn't supposed to be in to try to get back home, only to find his journey was for naught. Very...melancholic.
This is metal at its peak prime. It doesnt get much better than this.
One of the best vocalists I’ve heard lately. So much range and the band is killer. Love all of the progressions. It’s a steady build and keeps you hype throughout.
I'm loving Mr Barone on drums. adds a whole other level.
Bands like you are the future of Deathcore and whole Metal world
That's not remotely deathcore my man. It's something far greater.

"Metal heads" Nah! Shitty Core, emo vocals, and breakdowns?, this Is far too Death Metal!
Nowdays, "Metalhead" about Death Core: This Is not Death Core this Is modern Death Metal
Time, just time...
@question everything well for their sake I hope they continue to make death metal because it has staying power. Core of any kind will always fade.
@question everything agreed
Everyone saying how 2018 and 2019 and 2020 are going to be the years for metal but to be honest with you I think this current generation is just kicking so much metal ass! Good job!! 🤘🤘
3:08 "We wasted away"
🤯
Spotify recommended this song for me, I can’t stop listening to this and the hole album! The elements fit perfectly together.
Their songs always tell me a story, man. Not always the one in the lyrics, but there's always something fucking cool going on in my head when I listen to this band.
The most underrated band...should have millions of views at least...great talent guys, loved your music since the first album!
The outro just brought me to a whole new dimension. Extended version please!
Also, I hope anthony would be a permanent addition to the band. He is one hell of a good drummer
God damn! They can't make a bad song can they? Ben's vocals are always top notch!
This is brutal yet beautiful
the last 40 seconds really stuck out to me. This album should be a must buy on day 1
Cant believe this track didnt hit 50 millions view...
Fantastic main riff and buildups at the right times
Where'd my socks go? I haven't been able to find them since this song knocked them off
i cumed in they
Honestly, compared to all the other bands putting stuff out, I'm way more hyped for Shadow of Intent's new stuff. I don't get near as excited about this kind of music anymore, but goddamn this band keeps me into it. Original as fuck.
For the past 2 years i listen to this band on a daily basis. Just can't get enough of your music guys, it's insane. How can i ever listen to other bands, when they are not on your level ?
4:26 still one of the absolute peak beautiful riffs and melodies I've heard in metal. EVER.
Esto es equilibrio, esto es jodidamente hermoso, esto es Shadow Of Intent
Best outro i've ever heared
Hell yeah first infant annihilator now the shadow of intent, great summer so far can,t wait on the new albums.
The outro actually made me tear up dude what the fuck. Was like some Dark Souls shit. These guys are so sick!
this outro made me cumed
you officially reached God Tier with this song. Damn this is so good
I could never get into Deathcore! until i heard this... my ears. oh my ears. Been onr epeat for a week. This melancholy album is simply amazing. Literally everything about it.
bc overall the albums not the most deathcore album, definitely could be called a death metal album at times with blackened and symphonic elements
My man I haven't been able to get into deathcore for what feels like a long time now... Since the days where "Awaken the Dreamers" by All Shall Perish was still fresh.. The days when Born of Osiris' "The New Reign" was a steady jam and then we forgot about a higher place and considered "The Discovery" to be their next absolute masterpiece. When After the Burial was still big.. And "A New Era Of Corruption" just came out and we still thought Whitechapel couldn't write a bad album. Or when "ID" was a banging follow up to "The Common Man's Collapse" you know? When it wasn't safe to swim today! Ever since then everything has just been so mediocre... Whitechapel CAN apparently come out with a bad album. Eddy Hermida can ruin two bands quicker than he made All Shall Perish good, we weren't only mourning mitch lucker I tell ya... I know what it's like now to want to slap every member in Born of Osiris in the fucking face repeatedly for letting Jason Richardson go. I've felt the disappointment of trying to listen to Aristeia play anything they wrote live. I've been conned into pre-ordering an album too early just like EA does to gamers when Rings of Saturn put out the Dingir album teaser and I thought it was Jesus' second coming. Only to be let down by the fact that the teaser was better than the actual album. I've gone through some SHIT to get here... And Shadow of Intent is making it all worth it. Look away if you don't wanna see a grown man cry!
@@danielnelson4881 wow im sorry thats the way you think of deathcore now but it sounds like youre just stuck on hoping old bands can continue to release good music like they once did instead of searching for the new. Whitechapels "the valley" was actually a really good album, though admittedly not their best. If youre looking for some of the better deathcore in the modern day then 2019 is a great place to start. Fit For An Autopsy released "The Sea Of Tragic Beasts", Shrine Of Malice released "Sheol", A blackened deathcore album that was my personal favourite of 2019 along with Shadow of Intents "Melancholy". There was also Angelmakers self titled album, Enterprise Earth with "Luficerous", Infant Annihilator released "The Battle of Yaldabaoth", Signs Of The Swarm with their slam influenced "Vital Deprivation" and more recently Lorna Shore releasing "Immortal". These are all some incredible albums and id recommend backtracking through each of these bands discographies because they are definitely the frontrunners of the deathcore scene in my eyes
I think they don't fit into deathcore tag anymore, this is more like symphonic or blackened melodic death
Thy art is murder and Shadow Of Intent The same day💀🔥
Nahhh
Don't forget Infant Annihilator
@@Aegontheberserker three bastards love it

uuummmm SHADOW ALL DAY...…...THY ART...….MMMMM NO THANKS.... THEY WILL BE WALMART GREETERS SOON...LOL
As I said before! Shadow of Intent is the future of Deathcore!! 🤘🤘
They are erasing the deathcore moniker. This song proves that.
This band its getting better and better, not like other bands that start killing this shit and in the second album they lose touch. Shadows of intent are going beyond the limits of this genre🤘🔥
FIRST ADDICTIVE DEATHCORE EXPERIENCE...I listen mostly to 2000’ alternative rock and new age metalcore post hardcore. Never been into Deathcore and probably will never be huge on it. But this one song is definitely an all time keeper. Fucking hell the guitar work, vocals, drummer OMG THE DRUMMER, symphonies are something else. HUGE FAN NOW ❤️
Thy art and shadow of intent in the same day. Amazing.
Don't forget about Infant Annihilator
This was the first song i ever heard from SOI when they relased it and it still blows my mind to this day ! 100/10 !!

It's sounds like Orbit Culture in certain parts but God, this is epic in every way.
Amazing band!!!!
Greetings from Sao Paulo, Brazil! 👊
Shit, i just recently discovered this band and now I'm hooked.
This is probably gonna be one of the best albums to drop in 2019 for sure!! 😎
That riff at 4:26 could have kept going for another 4 measures and I would have been bopping to it the whole time with that scarecrow/crucifix headbang.
I'm not much of a deathcore fan (really more of a black metal kinda guy, honestly), but this was fucking awesome. Good job, guys

Seriously one of the greatest bands to ever exist. That vocalist is a fucking beast!
The song that started it all for me.
Kings of New Age of Pure Deathcore
*Everybody liked that*
Love that Ben refined his lows instead of going for more insane highs like most artists do in their sophomore albums nowadays. It really payed off. Love the synth added too, really gives it an atmosphere that sets the band apart from everyone else in the scene.
