(My guess about the sprinting) `Sprinting into a station that you dont plan to take along stop at is a great way to make some positions from the riders that are slowing.. "This is the only thing Icould come up with"...

I always assume nobody would want to watch videos of my rides. Why would they? Yet I watch videos of other people's ride daily. Such a strange mental hurdle I can't move past. Anyway, cool ride made much cooler on a fatty. Nice.

Too bad there was not a huge portion of the race on sand or snow

Respect for the great result mate, especially on such a heavy bike! I believe I saw you pass at the first feed zone and then caught back up to you on the last climb going out of Oberried, where you took a break in the shade. My son saw a similar bike on the Ultra distance, but at least on camera it's tires look a bit narrower: ruclips.net/video/PYZS-2PdllI/видео.htmlsi=Z1N7P4geGue68OAD&t=1448

Yeah, I was completely cooked from the heat! Legs were struggling a bit by then too! Had heat exhaustion at a few gravel events recently, so taking care to not get too hot.

@@Over50sroadie Indeed, the Oberried climb was fully exposed to the sun and quite hot. In general temperatures were almost ideal, I even made good use of a neck warmer on the first descent (and then was too knackered and forgot to take it off)... 😅
