With every breaking news, the US and China get closer and closer to war. Hypersonic missiles are flying, laser weapons are torching things, aircraft carriers are taking shape, and now, probably the most daring of all, American F-22 Raptors are banging right on China’s door. According to the Air Force, it was time for the Raptor to go, despite still being the most superior fighter on the planet. However, these sentiments seem to have changed greatly. Rather than prepare the Raptor for retirement in the 2030s, as announced, the Air Force is planning to spend about $7.8 billion to upgrade the fighter to be more lethal than ever.
Considering China stole almost everything about the J-20 from the US, still cant even compete with the F-22 raptor

All the Chinese aircraft more strongly resemble Russian designs. Only one somewhat resembles the F-15. The data theft somewhere around 2011 was supposedly of F-35 data but if that happened it took about 13 years to produce a poor copy, the J-35 and even today isn't yet ready to deploy either as a land based or carrier aircraft. And remember that the F-35 program was a real mess until about 2017 so anything China stole was pretty worthless failed technology.

I’m sure the USAF isn’t pulling all the F-15’s off the island. I would take an F-15 over a J-20 any day of the week.

J20 more than a match for F22. It's a fact the F22 was only designed to have advantage over 4th generation aircraft. F22 has zero advantage over J20, while J20 can get data on F22 from Advanced Counter stealth Radars.
It's no match against a F-15 EX let alone a F-22. I remember hearing China and Russia saying stealth was useless... Then all of the sudden, They're trying to design stealth aircraft.

F22 would smoke a f15.. Just because you haven't seen its true capabilities does not mean it is not the superior fighter.
I remember the testing they did on the F-22- putting the least experienced F-22 pilot against five highly experienced F-15 Eagle pilots. He "shot" all of them down. His remarks after the engagement put it into perspective-- "it was like clubbing baby seals."

J-20 depends on Russia for engines and is plagued with problems. Dragon is a mythical beast
It tried for years to get a hand on Pratt and Whitney tech.,no success so far!
Starting a couple years ago China re-engined all its J-10C and J-20 with domestically produced engines. Although the WS-15 in the J-20 in particular has some modern features that greatly improved performance, it's generally believed but not substantiated to only have a working lifespan of a few hundred hours before needing major maintenance and immediately after any time the engine is pushed to its maximum limits(Like the Russian Saturn engines)
American engines by both GE and P&W have working lifespans measured in thousands of hours and are supposed to not need immediate replacement if pushed hard for a very short period of time.
Take a look at the MIG 1.44. Then look at the J-20.... China can't even design a airframe.

I'm loving the fact that it has it's own air to air missile defense system also. It'll always have escorts and then it'll have drone's as backup but it'll be able to defend itself in a fight if it needs to. It's a amazing machine.
The B-21 is a scary machine. The Air Force got it right by scaling it down to 3/4 size (compared to the B-2) with a goal to produce a minimum of 100. Pilots can fly it by hand or remotely-- hence no degradation when it comes to stresses of flight.

The raptor will always smoke the J-20. I have a personal friend the flies the J-20 and I myself have turned raptors into UAVs and my personal friend agrees the j-20 is under capable and will be lost to raptors.

I would expect the Airforce to replace the older F15's and the combination of the Japanese F35 and our F22 and F15 China should be nervous about BVR with the Raptor and F35 along with the amount that the F15 can carry.

The F15 is an awesome plane it has a kill record of 105 to 0 that is one hellof a record. The Air Force wanted to see just how bad their F22 was, so they ser up a simulated combat six F15s against a raptor one by one the F15s were taken out until none were left. The raptor is that badass. The J20 against the raptor the raptors will eat dragon if that day comes. Like the xhinese tank that was undergoing testing in the middle east after 31 rounds the gun blew up taking the chinese tank with it.

J20 might had copied the design of the f35 & f22. The only thing j20 failed on coping is the stealth capability. Front canard can pin point on radar that’s how India fighter jet detect them also the stealth paint of j20 heats up. Then the screaming engine 15.75 miles can hear the j20 a lot on Chinese farmer hates that j20 sound. Then the engine produce a lot of heat inferred radar can detect the j20 Taiwan radar proved that. I think the j20 I will say is better to go against the f15ex but something tells me f15 vs j20 the f15 will be victorious on that battle

Another 15% will have to return before they even make it to the fight. another 20% will fall apart when it really has to maneuver in combat and crash. 10 % will be shot down before they even know we are there. 10% will break down on the return flight and crash. 12% burn up in combat 8% return with damage. they will have 48% left for parts use
