I ordered some gear to clean up the interior literally an hour before you posted this. I don’t have buyers remorse, but I wish I had seen this video before I bought.
What I ordered was good for me, but now I see how expandable your kit is, I think I’ll be scanning your videos first before I hit “click to buy”.
Thanks again for sharing and keep ‘em coming, Casey!

Hey Casey. Do they make something like this for the XJ, or would this system work on the XJ's dash? I'm currently using suction cups and 3m stickies and really like how this system you've showcased looks. edit: NM.lol. I hadnt finished watching and misunderstood where you were mounting it. great video anyhow! thanks man!

I really like your setup! I use some ball mount stuff too and I usually scuff up the balls and sockets a bit then they don’t wander as easy. You have more faith than I do with a vertical flat magnet! Magnetic force isn’t big on shear so I have a $20 on that spot falling off on the trail! Myself I’d modify it with some Neodymium magnets if it absolutely has to stay in that position.
As always brother great work and awesome feng shui in the Jeep, you have a real talent with that stuff!✌🏼

Ha! I placed an order with 67 Designs 2 days ago for a Magmount G3 and 2 nano arms. I'm removing their "small" arm because it's just too long for my application. If I had known you were going to do this, I would have left the small arm at EPIC for you to pick up at your leisure. I gotta go there anyway for a install job on Wednesday :)

How do you have the FTM-400XDR wired up from there to the base unit? I'm looking at doing a similar setup with my JCR Headrack but the remote location of the base unit is such that it's hard to hear at times. May need to wire an external speaker up on the JCR Headrack as well, but would be interested to see how you've positioned yours and if it is hard to hear at all. Thanks!

    • @Casey250

Yep. Base under dash. Remote speaker up top at back of JCR rack. Extensions on mic and speaker. Mic is mounted on roll bar with a mag mount and retractable keeper.

I just placed my order for the 2021 Ford Bronco and have been looking around for ideas to mount the head unit for the FTM400. I like the solution from 67 Designs, I am sure they will be making products for the Bronco too. BTW, where did you mount the radio? In my FJ Cruiser and 4Runner, I had mounted radios under my seat and used an external speaker and a mic extension.
