Do a monthly unfavorites aka plants that made you mad, plants you’d never buy again, products that didn’t work, etc. I think that would be so fun! Also, I LOVE your monthly favorites!
Love this idea’ because we all know we make that purchase and it comes in and we’re like ohhhh heck no 😅😅😅and even the fertilizer foliage pro every influencer loves I don’t see the hype ?! I got no results , switched back to GT and my plant exploded again. So I’d love to hear ferns unfavs
LOVE your monthly favorites! Love hearing updates and just all the plant talk in general🥰 And LOVE LOVE LOVE when you make long videos!! They are my favorite🥰
I love your monthly favorites videos! they’re how I first found your channel and I think it’s fun to get a little update on the plants your currently obsessed with, because all of us plant parents know how certain plants take over our hearts at different times depending on how they’re doing, plus I love getting updates on how your new ones are doing!
Monthly favourites is how we get to see your plants up close. If you are considering ending the monthly updates, maybe do one every season? I prefer monthly updates because one always have new developments in a plant collection, and it helps us follow yours. Plus you talk about what you've been doing with the plants and what has worked, which is very informative.
I love watching your favorites videos! Please don't stop making them. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful plants with us. PS: Your hair is getting so long! So pretty. Brightest blessing to all of you 💕
Omg how you can said that, I love to see your monthly ones they are amazing and keep me always updated we my own always love what you do with your plants 🥰🥰🍀🌿☘️🌱
Thanks for being so open and transparent and for always sharing. I just wanted to say that I absolutely love your videos! So don't worry about those who can't handle any length of your videos. I can't wait for the next uploads. Until then, I'll enjoy your older ones.
Fern, I genuinely enjoy any video you put out, if it's on your main or vlog channel. You have such a nice calming aura, that I will honestly cozy up at any video you upload lol
I love the favorites videos! It’s a fun way to spotlight specific plants. That silver squill (Ledebouria) is a really fun easy plant. If you put it in a much bigger pot than it needs and give it some light it will fill it out so quickly and look nice and lush! It’s easy to propagate by division and is a great planty gift since it’s pretty indestructible 😊
I do really enjoy your favourites videos - whenever I see a plant I also have, they remind me what magnificent specimens most of them could be if I gave them that extra care. My most favourite videos are before/afters, wishlists (yours are always reasonable and well thought through) and tours. I enjoy the longer format videos- I like to play them while I'm watering or repotting
I have been loving haworthias recently, too! that little window is such a cool adaptation and makes them look so pretty in the sun or right after watering. I keep mine in pumice and they have grown so much this summer! I have a cooperii and a cymbiformis variegata as well as tons of little seedlings as I got seeds as a gift from the etsy shop I ordered from. Your variegated one looks super pretty!
I like the monthly favorites. It’s kinda of cool to hear someone talk about how they have the “always” favorites and the I didn’t appreciate it until ____ and now I love it 😅. Glad to know I’m not the only one.
Thank you so much, Fern! It's always interesting to see what's new and how your plants feel. And I love watching your videos and repot my plants at this time. 🌺🌿🌿
Please please don’t stop making your favorites videos. They are some of my favorites. Its so fun to watch you gosh over your plants 💚 I bet for you also it’s beneficial to have the videos documenting the changes happening in your collection over time 😊
i will watch ANYTHING you post, but your favorite's are one of my favorite videos you make. love the idea of a unfavorites video like one of the other comments said as well
Loved this! Took me a few days to get through as I've been busy but I always watch to the very end. Love seeing how your favourites change month to month so please don't stop making these! The haul at the end was super cute too, you and your insane collection of plants ❤❤
Love all your videos. Keep doing monthly favorites! My favorite videos are your collection videos where you rate them and your update videos showing the progress💚
In general I don’t watch other planty RUclipsrs monthly favorites anymore as yours is the only one I want to see! I kinda feel that the Alocasia odora’s newest leaf was its way of showing the milk confetti that thrips ain’t gonna bring him down!
I love the favourites, it helps me stop and appreciate the plants I already have, instead of looking for more. Also, someone else said about doing an ‘unfavourites’ video and that sounds fun too!
It’s super fun to see your new plants and you just helped me identify one that I’ve had for quite a while that no one seems to know the name of: the Ledebouria Socialis! Thanks for this.🌿🌸✌🏻🌞
I got a halo variegated micans a few months ago, and the variegation is so interesting. The leaves are a bit wonky but I love it. And it varies from a white stripe on the edges to some half moon, and everything in between! I love it!!!
I have the Begonia lucerne for an outdoor plant. Mine has pink flowers and it is short with big leaves because of limited shaded space. My mom’s is like 6ft tall on a wall with support. Since mine is outdoor, if it’s too cold, it dies back but it comes back in the spring. I don’t let it get wet in winter.
I enjoy all of your videos, regardless of what they're about. Even when you cook on your other channel, I'm not vegan but I watch because the vibes are always so chill.
The last cane begonia you showed is, I believe, Begonia lucerna. I have one that I got as a barely rooted short little cutting from a friend back in April, and it TOOK OFF. I’ve already cut it down once because it was getting big, and it’s already huge again. It’s also super easy. The friend I got it from had gotten it before she was very successful with plants, and it grew like wildfire for her, too.
The Ledebouria Socialis is also called Silver Squill or Leopard Lily. The bulbs have to be kept mostly above the soil line. You break a bulb off to propagate them. Mine is huge.
Thank you for reminding me that i shoved my new syngonium confetti into a box full of my favourite plants without treating it for pests first 🙃 this video and the one about your beneficial mite routine came at the perfect time for me 😂❤
loving the longer videos!! the favourites videos are also fun to watch, and also inspires me to dive into some of the plants you mentioned! LOVING THE P. NARROW! the plant shelf looks amazing btw! very well done setup 💚
i have a super beefy pot of syngonium confetti that i LOVE. I just constantly have cuttings of it going and keep it as like a bush and the leaves have gotten humongous
I am also curious about those little packets hanging from you plants! Excited to hear more about them! They sound like they could be a good addition to my plant care routine as well.
I bet your plants are doing so well in your new place because of the windows! It’s crazy how much it makes a difference, even if it doesn’t seem to be super bright to you! In the winter, I bring all mine in our spare bedroom with the vent closed so the heater doesn’t kill them. But the room only has one window, I don’t have grow lights, and I just keep the blinds open. I don’t know how but all of my 150 or so plants grow like crazy in there. It’s amazing. And the plant after the pings is also called a leopard Lilly and it’s grown from bulbs like alocasia and caladiums!
I have had the same experience with the exotica. I just kept half killing mine and having to chop and restart it. And now randomly after restarting it like three times it is thriving. I don’t think I even changed anything! But I’m very happy about it finally enjoying life
I always love watching your favorites videos, i think it honestly helps me appreciate my plants as well! You have all the good vibes :) Lol the first time I tried rooting maranta it shriveled up, and then I saw you rooting some and tried again and they rooted so fast! I wonder why some will root and some won't, it's so weird!
I have only one syngonium and I’ve got it on a stake. But I’ve bought a pole and moss. I got as far as breaking the moss into two sections and one is in water and is damp. I just need to make the poles and then put the plants on it. I cut up the top half and it’s in water 💦 it has one long root growing. So I’ll transplant into the next pot with the new moss pole.
As others have said, when I see a new Fern video, I watch the video, lol...your videos are all enjoyable and your content is spot-on. I DO like the monthly favorites as well though and would love to see one monthly! Also, my exotica has finally been popping off too!...and my moonlight treubii...I moved both of them to a better lighting situation so I'm assuming that's what did it for mine, but it's so exciting to see them growing better! I agree, they really are a common type of plant nowadays but they look like they should be a "rare" or expensive plant. Love them!
your amydrium shows you have the patience of a saint and that patience does in fact pay off! I got rid of mine because it only put out runners. yours is so pretty! I wish I'd given it more time. But now I've heard your advice I may pick another one up!
I have an Exotica and it is giving me big beautiful leaves also. Please keep doing these videos. I'm a new collector and you teach me so much and help me add to my wishlist😉
don't lose hope for your Maranta! I gave a friend a cutting 4+ months ago and only about 2-3 weeks ago there were some tiny roots visible (propagating in water). Mine have always rooted best in plain water or perlite x
Glad I clicked on this vid today (it would have been tomorrow 🤭) cos your Syngonium Albo is just GORGEOUS and now I feel comforted in having done the exact thing you did. It wasn't reverting but it was getting root rot so I just chopped & propped. We in spring now so that, together with the grow light its under, I'm hoping the roots will go ballistic and then I'll pot them up together. And I agree about the Scindapsus Exotica...love love love it and I have 3 of them, all props!!! Looking forward to seeing how your Silver Band goes as well as your baby begonias 👏🏼👏🏼
Hi Fern. I absolutely love your philodendron - narrow. So beautiful!!!! I have not seen this philodendron before. I usually propagate my marantas and begonias in sphagnum moss. They seem to have the most success striking roots in this medium. I really love your favourites video; I hope you keep it up. 💚💜💚💜
For me, it’s simple. Fern uploads, I watch. Love the monthly videos, but I don’t even check the titles anymore I just love your style. 😂

Add a cutting of pothos to the maranta!!!! It helps!❤❤❤
