This was one of the highlights of the season. It would be great if they could bring it back.

Sponsorship money would be so poor it would just be under 18s etc.

This tournament provided my first glimpse of Paul Merson.
Great year though for Oxford - the League Cup, First Division survival and then the Soccer Six champions!

I recall Soccer Six first started in the early 1980’s, it was then sponsored by Atari. BBC Sportsnight always televised it.
I went to the 1982 & 1983 tournaments held at the NEC & both were won by Birmingham City. Guinness rebranded Soccer6 & it moved to the GMEX Manchester, & was popular throughout the 1980’s.

A very different time when even the top football clubs would gladly take any tv exposure that was going. I doubt they'd send their U17 sides now.

just wished they would bring back the Guinness soccer six again at the g mex centre in Manchester like they did in the eighths and live on the bbc and not sky sports and bt sports they taken are champions league off ITV and now it's time the BBC brought this back and let's us enjoy football from all the premier league clubs something they all should consider bringing it back live mid week games and bring back the old classic players from the past in the 90s that would be great so the organisers and GUINNESS get back in touch with the premier league and the clubs and let have some brilliant football matches in doors let's get this going and start for the new season 20 20

3 years later, Micheal Thomas would score the greatest goal in Arsenal’s history!

Shorts were just too, well, short! Today's league football is just this indoor footy gone large. Perfect pitch, over fast, bonkers bouncy overlite ball, no real tackling. Pah!!
