Season ticket holder from 85 to 88. Feel so blessed to see these gents week in and out against the big boys. We are the Left Side London Road. Being a Liverpool fan, too, it was great to see Aldo and Ray get their much deserved move. Yellows ❤

My three years at Oxford coincided with the team being in the top flight. Saw them beat Man Ure in Fergie's first game in charge ('You're gonna get the sack' we chanted, maybe a tad prematurely); the wonderful run all the way to the Milk Cup win; coming back from 0-3 down to beat Ipswich Town 4-3 and ultimately send them down; beating Arsenal 3-0 to ensure survival. Brilliant days.

Did not know this existed...but having once known Les Philips through working for his brother, I am so pleased he got a little recognition via this programme. He was a cracking little midfielder. Hope he is well.

I was a season ticket holder at The Manor, Left side, London Road 1984 to 1988.
Moved away, but still go to watch Oufc, but not as regular as I would like today.

John Aldridge and Les Phillips lived in our village. Great lads. Used to play darts against John in the local pub and played in 6 a side tournaments with Les. Was at the milk cup final. Watched many games at the Manor

I can't remember why I didn't see this when 1st broadcast, it was either a change to schedule due to extra time being played in the televised game or we had a local power cut. I think it was the former though and then never saw it rescheduled. Great to finally get to watch it. Thank you for sharing

The Jim smith Era was the best years in Oxford's football history. I watched every game, from their march through the leagues to division One.

Mad, I would ride my BMX down the London Road and bump into Shotton and co sometimes! 2 Saturday's a month (or more) up the Manor it's like growing up there!
Meant so much to the people of the City, the residents. The factory workers, brickies, cleaners, chippies, posties etc. It was ours unlike the university which is claimed by the World.
