As an owner for the last 14 years, I disagree with her negative points. I've never found the non-adjustable steering wheel to be an issue, as the driving position is spot-on anyway. The interior design has aged remarkably well, albeit moreso on 'phase 2' cars which have a darker interior, and I'm sure the quality is no worse compared with other cars of that era. That factory bodykit is a work of art which completely differentiates it from the rest of the mk5 range, which admittedly look a bit dowdy.
    Fantastic car.

I disagree totally with your view on the body styling I bought one 9 months old back in the day in the same colour because I absolutely loved the way it looked and I done 88k in that car and apart from basic serving I never spent a penny on it the best car I ever owned wish I still had it fabulous car and great fun .

Red not the best colour for this car.. But fair play for a 1.6 it packs a mean punch.. You certainly wont shake this off your tail easily down a twisty road. Despite only haveing a 100hp.

We look back with nostalgia but cars today are light years better. Rose tinted glasses, eh!
