I kind of agree but I also don't agree with what you said about juries. This is exactly the kind of song that would get great votes from the jury. I too would like more ethnic rhythms maybe sung in one's own language. I do not like songs that sound the same year after another year either I do not want to see Finnish man's hairy ass but there are lot of those ESC fans who only vote acts like No Rules and they pass Azerbaijan, Australian, Norwegian, Croatian songs etc.. because They think those songs are boring. That is why we need jury to keep the standard or else the competition will become a joke.
I think the juries SHOULD vote for a song like Azerbaijan’s - but for some reason I do not expect them to. Juries have consistently backed safe, pop, ‘radio-friendly’, genrric trash in English. And for all the right reasons, Azerbaijan’s song is none of that.
