I really like Kesha, she's like a loud Britney Spears, like Britney and Pink had a child😅 i wish Kesha the best after some really hard years. Thanks for the vídeo, the song is sooooo cool and fun❤
Kesha is always SUPER intentional about her lyrics, and 2024 is the 20th anniversary of Mean Girls. Considering it’s cult-classic (especially among us queers,) it’s definitely a direct reference.
I LOVE Joyride, it’s the song of the summer/potentially year for me. I was craving this exact type of mood, beat, vocal style from SOMEONE for a very long time and Chappell Road definitely helped quench that with SGUMG but holy I think this one takes it for me it was exactly what I needed! 🔥
Gag Order was such a great album and it got paid dust (IMO). Didn't fall for JOYRIDE until I watched her TED Talk where she performed 'Cathedral' and I had to go back and check this song. Can't wait for this new album!
I'm not a car girl, but when the pop girlies have car references in their songs I am ALL ABOUT IT. 🚗 Beep beep b*tch. I already know Charli XCX and Von dutch will be my Spotify Top Artist and Most Played Song. Depending on how Kesha's album is, Kesha and JOYRIDE might be good contender for my second artist and song.
Same girl. Made a fun car music playlist based entirely around this song and charlie xcx Songs. That vibe is just sooo fun and makes me wanna risk a speeding ticket
It's reminiscent of Blow or Take it Off to me and I was OBSESSED with those songs in middle school (and still am), I never had an infectious sleaze pop superstar Kesha comeback on my 2024 bingo card but I'm soooo here for it
1:16 i love this connection because kinky literally features ke$ha which perfectly ties into the celebration of her independence and reclaiming fun party pop music!
I'm glad you're doing a video on this song! It's such an amazingly weird song with such a unique sound and I really love that. I'm really rooting for Kesha and hope everything goes well for her going forward
If you are familiar with Roisin Murphy, you would be able to hear an essence of her in this song! Like, the vocal inflection on the chorus is so Roisin Murphy-coded.
This is hands down the most intelligent review of Joyride I’m in love with the song and you just added about 10 more layers to the experience. Very cool! Subscribed
Not my favorite, but also I haven't listened too many times yet. I will always root for Kesha though and the song she sang at her TED talk (Cathedral, I think) is fkn stunning!
Girl when you said yesterday on live that your next video is about Joyride, i thought you meant the Tinashe album 😭😭😭 this is how I found out Kesha dropped a new song 💗
the hate this song gets kinda reminds me of when animal/cannibal came out back in the day lol kesha I will always love you. also a lil nas x and kesha duet would be amazing.
To me this song really feels like Kesha embodying her own version of like a psy Gangnam Style or gentleman kind of energy Where she is super quirky yet confident but also kind of sleazy but it’s sexy and the instrumental bangs
@@jesusaceves3893even as her Stan myself, I personally think she's just "giving everything they want" cuz everyone wants her to do Those old songs again and woman's world does give that vibes (in the bad way). Personally after she posts those snippets WW is one of those weak songs from her in the album and songs like nirvana or lifetimes is far better
Kesha holds a special place in my heart. My husband and I went to her concert for our 2nd date back when Warrior came out. Every time we listen to her, memories come back 💕
it’s nasty. i feel like people who hate it just need some time to let it grow. i wasn’t feeling it at first, but now??? i can’t get it out of my head in the best possible way.
Was clubbing more affordable in the early 2010s? Is it possible that recession pop was so club-oriented because clubbing was one of the few escapes people were still able to afford? Because I think a lot of recession pop now is not about clubbing because clubbing is no longer an escape for the people affected by the recession.
I like Kesha, but to me what she does isn't really even what i think of as "music". It's more like an anthem or a musical chant, kind of leading people into things. If she did politics she'd be dangerous.
Can we talk about how liberating is that Kesha is releasing again unapologetic Kesha pop savage music
YESS
What a way to celebrate freedom!!! So happy for her!!! Fun music, here we come!!!
And more liberating to know it's on her own terms this time !
Kesha has so many people rooting for her including myself. Love that lady.
She knows how to craft a hook
@@tylerhackner9731 She so does
Eat the Acid is a great example of this
You can still hear little things from "Tick Tock" in this song.
Kesha did what Katy Perry wanted to do
READY FOR THE KESHA RENAISSANCE
It's the sickest accordion-based song about riding in a vehicle since "Another One Rides the Bus"
💯
looooooooove joyride and kesha i’m so excited for her album
@@greasestains me too and I didn’t even realize we were getting an album at first!!
We are about to hear this song at every county fair on every amusement ride. Especially THE HIMALAYA!
Joyride was a bop !!!! She ate that song down !!!!! Can’t wait for Kesha new album
I'm so waiting for the Kesha vs. Katy Perry parallel analysis that is sure to happen. They literally take the opposite route.
THIS
I say this with all the love in the world: this would kill as a Eurovision song
12 points from ROTW (me in Canada lol)!!!!!

Not Chappell Road, I’m not fixing that 💀💀
@@MyNameisDCwe’re living on Chappell Road, parked in our cars otw for a joyride this summer honestly tho
This song is so fun. I can’t not love it. It feels like homage to what made us fall in love with Kesha in the early 2010s but still current
I kind of love this song. It’s very strange but also very intriguing and fun :)
honestly one of the most interesting sounding pop on mainstream radio now.
I liked it at first listen, but oh boy is it infectious because I’m obsessed now, it grows so much and keeps getting better with every listen
Great that she’s back! It’s like everyone just kinda forgot about her for a while.
@TylerSines-ib8nr who was the man she was signed to?/genq

She also sang another song on Ted talk, called Cathedral which was a ballad. She has a brilliant music mind ❤️
Yes, she does.
first listen i didn’t enjoy the song but now i got it on repeat for the whole summer

the beep beep was giving charli, which makes me wish that she and kesha collaborated

To me sounded like Brittney circus inspired. Love it and how it pushed that beat
Not at all
Britney's circus doesn't even sound like a circus though
Not really it's more of toy soldier from her blackout album but this song is wilder
1:16 i love this connection because kinky literally features ke$ha which perfectly ties into the celebration of her independence and reclaiming fun party pop music!
JOYRIDE is one of my favorite singles this year

Kesha and Charli were also teasing something
what happened with that
I just love this song and Kesha last 2 albums
I LOVE Kesha! I've loved her since I was 14!! I always knew that she had something deeper even though she could be silly too
Same producer as Troye’s Rush, no wonder I loved the Kesha’s song lol
Everything the songs need is a MV and it will blow off
I loved the lyric video for “Joyride”. It’s just a compilation of truck videos in heat vision!
Ngl I never really got into kesha besides her popular songs but this was so much fun

I would love for you to talk about METTE in one of your vids. Been obsessed with “Monet” and “Bet” the last few weeks. She’s so talented!
Thank you so much for making a video on the song, she needs any exposure she can get
the hate this song gets kinda reminds me of when animal/cannibal came out back in the day lol kesha I will always love you. also a lil nas x and kesha duet would be amazing.
This song sounds like a Kim petras song which honestly kesha was the kim petras before kim petras. I love this song
Its so catchy! So glad for kesha. And the mean girls reference.
i just hope she knows how much all of us are still excited about her and rooting for her

My thought is that recession pop/sound came back w Renaissance
I didn't know that Kesha made a new album. Her music seems better now that she's an indie artist.
Joyride is an independent release. A fun fact is that Joyride is distributed by "FUGA" And it entered 21 playlists on Apple Music
I think her calling herself mother gives a little cringe Megan Trainor vibes but aside from that it’s such a certified bop
