To be honest my first time was intimidating too! But it was also exciting, I remember coming out of the fair with a ton of products ideas I'd never seen before but, when I started researching them I found them all on Amazon already ;)

I think it's funny how they will inflate the prices just because they think you can be taken advantage of. I like your tactic with the dummy email and then reaching out later with your actual email. I'm sure that stops a lot of spam emails to your real email. How often do you see people use their time at the canton fair incorrectly by looking for product ideas, suppliers, or even placing orders that they don't know are inflated?
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Well, Canton Fair isn’t what it used to be because it is usually an opportunity for factories to showcase their products. But now, when you plan ahead, you can visit the factory/supplier if you did you’re homework about your product and build relationships with them. Also, you're not going to get some ideas for your products if it is already existing. Unless you have enough capital compete to the existing market or tweak your product completely.

It all depends on the product you're interested in. Each phase has a variety of different products to offer. I'm personally invested in Phase 2 and 3 but many people like the international exhibition. Are you going to the fair?
Hey Tahir, unfortunately I've never been to the Global Sources event (I got invited just didn't have time and it's in Hong Kong). I've heard from friends it's great but, it's also more of a summit with lots of speakers and networking opportunities around manufacturing in China. Where as the Canton Fair is more an exhibition for actual factories.
