If I was buying I would go to smaller towns. Cities full of tourists are a turn off for me.

Solution? Do not go to Barcelona. What about a little outside?

The 21€mil is soulless. Vessel sinks?! Useless, messy…..so disappointing.

And bad build quality. If you can see it in photos imagine how crap it is in person

I've always wondered about Barcelona's housing market. The people I know there all live outside the city itself, whereas the average person I know in Madrid lives within the city limits.

Even if I was a multi-millionaire Stu, I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole😂 I would purchase myself 21 separate properties at a million pound each, which I'm sure you would find😂😂and rent them out 👍🤣

lots of the cheap places are NUDA propiedad, meaning the elderly inhabitants of these flats have rights to live there for life, depending on how long that is determines the property's value for the buyer. I wouldn't wager a bet but if you're very young and well off maybe worth considering.

I'd rather sleep in a park than in some of those properties occupied with squatters.

How can you legally remove squatters?

Just invite them for one too many cañas and then let someone else you know change the locks 🍻

Pay them a fee to leave before signing the sell with the owner. I did so when bought my first home. It was the 90's in the very core of Alcalá de Henares and paid to the squatters what is now €12,000. I got a bargain

Barcelona is bona if the bossa sona. It means that Barcelona is vibrant when there is money available to spend. It's an Italian saying that comes from the Middle Ages. Barcelona is good if the money bag sounds.

With the billions that governments waste I’d either pay all squatters to go out from the Autonomous Community or abroad 😂
Building social housing is not a priority for the Socialist Government.

That one place was definitely for investor eyes only. Cities like Barcelona are all about location, location, location. You can fix up a home really nice, but you can’t change its location.

The squatters themselves put it up for sale 😂
    CASH ONLY 🤣

Stu, you need to learn some estate agent (realtor) speak: 'Crap hole' = 'A blank canvas on which you can paint your dreams' or 'Room for improvement'.

❤ Pedralbes is the equivalent to Barrio Salamanca or Pinar de Chamartín in Madrid. For the cheaper areas, they are the areas that were built in the Franquist times as cheap flats for immigrant workers from the the rest of Spain or the gipsies... not surprising that they have been taken over by squatters as nobody really wants to buy property in that area. Barcelona is a very difficult market for an average income.

I should imagine Barcelona would be an expensive city to live in. The squatter situation needs to be tackled. Thanks Stuart

Hey Stu, are you available for a quick chat re: your experience on closing on your property? I’m sooooo close to a meeting of the minds on my prospect. Lemme know
