It feels great to carry your own backpack on a trek and to do so with ease! For this, you need to keep it light. The secret is to have a checklist and not to pack for "if" situations. "If it rains, all my clothes are going to get wet. Surely, I must carry spare clothes?" Well, no. Use a poncho instead, to cover yourself and the bag. Your clothes will be dry and so will you!
